If it weren’t for the talented trio Jerry Zucker, David Zucker and Jim Abrahams, we may never have gotten a number of post-“Airplane!” comedies, such as the Farrelly brothers' “There’s Something About Mary.”

And if it weren’t for the Z.A.Z. team, as the NYTimes calls the filmmakers, we also wouldn’t have heard some of the funniest movie lines a person can commit to memory.

If you can read the “Airplane!” quotes below and not hear Peter Graves’ hilarious deadpan delivery in your head, then clearly you need to make it a blockbuster night.

You would think that after a person not only shows up to baseball games in lingerie but also graces the cover of Rolling Stone wearing a machine-gun bra, it wouldn't be that difficult to pick them out in a lineup.

Well, think again.

As pointed out by Perez Hilton, CNN recently made a mistake during a broadcast regarding President Obama and Lady Gaga’s social networking race and used a photo of a Gaga imposter instead of the real deal.

Us Weekly reported last week that Jason Bateman was booed outside an Apple store in L.A. for cutting a line of 2,000 iPhone 4 enthusiasts, relying on the account of eyewitnesses. But perhaps those "eyewitnesses" where impatiently waiting in some other line, because the actor has since taken to Twitter to set the record straight.

“There wasn’t one boo. Not one hiss,” Bateman wrote in response to claims made by an eyewitness who said, “Everyone literally started booing and hissing!” Another onlooker said, “The crowd freaked and booed, and he put his head down,” according to the magazine.

But one thing is for sure: Bateman did get to skip the line Thursday.

“The Apple guy brought me in away from the paparazzi,” he wrote. “Period. I was content in line. I wish I’d stayed.”

Did “Entourage” star Kevin Connolly turn diva when he directed an episode of the hit HBO comedy series?

The actor was behind the camera last week, and reportedly was such an “extreme perfectionist” that he made the cast and crew miserable by forcing them to work long hours.

Not so, said show creator Doug Ellin in an interview with the Los Angeles Times; the executive producer called stories of Connolly’s bad behavior are “absolutely ridiculous. He was as prepared and focused as any director I've had. There's a rat on this set and it's a weird thing. It's got to be somebody with a personal thing against Kevin.”

Belieb it or not (sorry, couldn't help it), the woman who gave birth to the teen pop sensation known as Justin Bieber at the age of 18 was reportedly approached by Playboy to pose in a future spread - but it turns out, that's not exactly true.

Rumors circulated at the end of last week saying that the publication offered Mallette $50,000 to go topless for the mag, but Bieber's rep said Playboy never even contacted the 36-year-old mom of one, according to E!.

“The rumors that Pattie Mallette is in talks with Playboy magazine to appear in an upcoming issue are completely false,” his rep said. “She has never been approached by Playboy magazine nor has she approached Playboy. This story is utterly erroneous, without a shred of truth. Consider this denial the final word on the matter.”

But last night’s sex scene between Bill Compton and Lorena – his obsessive vampire “maker” - seems to have shocked some of the most immovable.

Bill, enraged after agreeing to stay away from his beloved Sookie in order to keep her safe, grabs Lorena’s head during a bout of angry intercourse and then gives it a grotesque spin before continuing to do the deed as she smiles eerily.

A year and a half after the shocking murders of three of her family members, Jennifer Hudson is finally speaking out about the killings in tonight’s episode of VH1’s "Behind the Music."

The show marks the first time the “American Idol” alum has talked at length about the 2008 tragedy, in which Hudson’s brother-in-law, William Balfour, gunned down her mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, her older brother Jason, 29, and 7-year-old nephew Julian King.

The Oscar-winning Chicago native initially acknowledged the life-changing event one month after the slayings, writing on her MySpace page in November 2008, “I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern.”

Chris Brown’s tribute to Michael Jackson performance at the BET Awards Sunday night has left viewers emotional to say the least. But everyone’s also fairly divided as to which emotion that is.

While most people believe Brown’s vulnerable breakdown onstage in front of millions was sincere, others are appalled by the public’s willingness to forgive and even feel sorry for a man who received a felonious charge for beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna a year ago.

And then there are the people who are outraged at the people who were appalled — and on and on it goes.

No one had a "case of the Mondays" at the "Showbiz Tonight" morning meeting today because EVERYONE was taking sides on Chris Brown’s performance and breakdown at the BET Awards.

Brown, as you remember, attacked Rihanna last February before the Grammy Awards. He hasn’t really attended or performed at an awards show since, but last night’s tribute to Michael Jackson has everyone talking and taking sides today.

The "Showbiz" team was solidly split this morning, with some saying Brown was genuine while others believe it was a publicity stunt. What do you think? The title of the Black Eyed Peas' album "The E.N.D." just might apply to Fergie's career with the supergroup, if you believe rumors that surfaced over the weekend.

According to RadarOnline.com, female lead Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson has been repeatedly clashing with band member Will.I.Am over his inflated ego and will leave the group when it finishes its summer tour.

"She's got everything planned out and she says she can't be convinced to change her mind," a source reportedly told RadarOnline.com, adding that the singer also hopes to start a family with hubby Josh Duhamel.

But Will.I.Am insists that he and Fergie, both 35, are closer than peas in a pod. On Saturday he tweeted, "Don't belive [sic] gossip about fergie leaving the group (we are never breaking up) its all lies!!!"
