At the ripe old age of 24, Amanda Bynes is saying goodbye to acting.
Bynes, who was just 10 when she made her name on the Nickelodeon show “All That” before getting her own series, “The Amanda Show,” made her announcement on Saturday via Twitter.
"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem," tweeted the star, who counts Marilyn Monroe and Angelina Jolie among her idols. "If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it."
The “Hairspray” star added, "I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been a part of. I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play."
Bynes didn’t say what she’ll do next, but in the meantime, she’ll make her final appearance on the big screen this September in the high-school comedy, “Easy A.”
