Neil Patrick Harris: Muppets on Walk of Fame? PricelessOprah. Buddy Holly. The Muppets? Yep, those are just some of the legends, old and new, who will be getting stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced yesterday that 30 celebrities will mark their spots on the Tinseltown sidewalks in 2011. Among the A-listers: Movie stars Reese Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz, and Gwyneth Paltrow; TV titans Tina Fey, Danny DeVito, and Neil Patrick Harris; and music greats Melissa Etheridge, The Go-Go’s, Rascal Flatts, Slash, and Will.i.Am. And in a rare family celebration that is sure to make their home-movie reel, Bruce Dern, Diane Ladd, and their daughter Laura Dern will each get a star during the same ceremony. Perhaps Neil Patrick Harris best summed up everyone’s feelings when he tweeted yesterday, “Getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – awesome. Having it be in the same year as the Muppets – priceless.” |

Is it me, or does his face look too small for his head in that picture?
I can understand Jim Hensen's brood, very deserving, but the rest? Our society really has dropped standards these days hasn't it?
why does oprah get a star, she does not deserve one, she has no talent. all she is , is a gossip reporter
the muppets well deserve this but, gwenth no talent. reese, no talent, and tina fey no talent. what is hollywood looking for. just to give a star to anyone whether they deserve or not, there were sooooooooo many before that did not even get this acknowledgement, shame on hollywood for pulling stars on untalented people. where is cary grants star? its bad enough mel brooks had to wait until he was in his 80's and the 3 stooges well they waited to there was only one left before they got theirs, this is truly sad.
Muppets??? Wow...they totally deserve it! As well as Neil...!
Who the heck is Will.i.Am.?
Neil and the Muppets = AWESOME! GOTTA LUV 'EM...
Hopper was just recently nominated that is why it took so long. There is a process to getting a star as shown on hollywoodchamber.net.
seriously, they just give these things away, dont they?...oprah, the muppets, gwyneth...sure i can see those...but will.i.am? slash? doogie howser? really?
Congrats to all of celebs for getting their star. But what I can't understand is why did the late Dennis Hopper get his star this year. It seems a talented actor as he was should've had a star a long time ago.
Neil is priceless!
Priceless indeed!
