If you like animated features and movies about hair – the planets are about to align for you!
Walt Disney Pictures’ 50th full-length animated feature, "Tangled", is headed to the big screen this November. “Chuck's” Zachary Levi lends his voice to the kingdom’s most wanted — and most charming — bandit Flynn Rider.
While hiding out in a tower after his latest heist, Flynn bumps into Rapunzel, voiced by Mandy Moore, a feisty teen with 70 feet of golden hair who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years. The unlikely duo set off into a hilarious, hair-raising escapade filled with adventure, humor and hair — lots and lots of hair.
If November is too long to wait for some family-friendly entertainment, Universal Pictures will be back in August with a decidedly less hairy live action film: the sequel “"Nanny McPhee Returns".
Once again, Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson will portray the magical nanny who appears when she’s needed the most and wanted the least. The film also stars acclaimed actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, at least one climbing piglet and a baby elephant. McPhee uses her magic to teach her mischievous kids five new lessons starting August 20th in theaters nationwide.
And finally, for a little bit of an older crowd and especially for fans of horror movies, a new trailer is out which hopes to inspire the same kind of terror created by Linda Blair in the 1973 hit film, “The Exorcist,” called "The Last Exorcism".
The movie follows a troubled evangelical minister who agrees to let his last exorcism be filmed by a documentary crew. Because much of the film is seen through the lens of documentary cameras there is an eerie sense of realism reminiscent of “The Blair Witch Project” and “Paranormal Activity.” Adrenaline junkies can start lining up for this one on August 27th.
