Jennifer Lopez covered a lot of ground in a recent interview with “Extra,” explaining how her choreographed cameo at the MTV Movie Awards came to pass, as well as putting rumors to rest about her marriage to Marc Anthony.
As for her MTV appearance, Lopez said Cruise called her up personally about a month ahead of time to put in his request. “[Tom] said, ‘I have this idea. I’m doing this thing for MTV Movie Awards, and I want it to be a surprise,” she said in the interview.
J.Lo was happy to oblige but had one stipulation: He had to learn the cane dance that she does in the 2007 “Get Right” music video.
Cruise did not disappoint. In fact, J.Lo gave him props. “The thing with that routine is that it is one of the hardest routines. But he did it…And he did a great job. I was really proud of him,” she said.
Their complimenting work styles didn't hurt either. “I’m such a hard worker, and I’m kind of intense about my job. It’s great to work with someone who is just as intense and passionate and crazy about getting everything right.”
And now, about that marital gossip: Remember when it seemed like every time you batted an eyelash, another celeb couple had renewed their vows? Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were supposed to be among those who did, but Lopez told "Extra": “We didn't renew our vows! [That] is an absolute lie. We had our anniversary, we had some people over to the house, that was it."
