There's so much big news breaking this Wednesday here at "Showbiz Tonight" we hardly know where to begin!
So let's start with...Lindsay Lohan! And her big "jail break,” so to speak. Can you believe she beat jail again? Her alcohol monitoring bracelet (it’s called a "SCRAM" bracelet) goes off, and you'd think the judge would tell HER to "scram" and toss her in jail for violating her probation! But nooooo... Lindsay gets to post bail, again. What's the deal with that? We're speaking today with her father Michael Lohan, in the interview you'll see only on "Showbiz Tonight."
On to the brand new Gary Coleman death mysteries today. His ex-wife, Shannon Price, still isn't saying if she sold out her ex and sold deathbed photos of him to a tabloid. But that tabloid published one of them today and guess who's in the photo? Shannon herself! Add to that Gary's former “Diff’rent Strokes” co-star Todd Bridges claiming today Gary had a secret stash of money! Can this get any stranger?
Lady Gaga has once again reached into her usual bag of controversial tricks for the nearly 9 minute long music video for "Alejandro," and some have found it to be distasteful, including, maybe, Katy Perry.
Because of a suspiciously timed tweet sent out yesterday, Katy Perry has been accused of bad-mouthing Gaga. The "I Kissed a Girl" singer tweeted Tuesday, “Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."
Some have taken that as a remark referring to Gaga's somewhat depressing video, in which she uses plenty of religious imagery, including dropping a rosary into her mouth while wearing a nun’s habit.
So to recap: Perry is against blasphemy, but a bra that spews white cake icing? That’s a go, as seen in a clip from Perry’s upcoming music video for “California Gurls."
In the July issue of Elle magazine, we find Rihanna opening up about loves lost and found, which of course includes her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.
The 22-year-old singer reveals that the 2009 Grammy night attack at the hands of Brown left her confused and wondering if she should stand by her man.
“He was my best friend,” she said of Brown, 21, who received a six-month community labor sentence. “All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives — not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him — it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”
Thankfully, the Barbadian beauty seems to have found Mr. Right in L.A. Dodger Matt Kemp. “I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy,” she told the magazine. “I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”
Eminem just released the video for the first single from his “Recovery” album on Sunday, but by Monday all 16 tracks from the record leaked online. It wasn’t supposed to debut in stores until June 22.
The same thing happened with Drake’s “Thank Me Later." Although it feels like singles from Drake’s highly anticipated LP have been slowly leaking across the Internet forever (no pun intended), the album has been available for Web listeners in its entirety for about a week now.
Even though you’ve probably already made copies of it to hand out to your friends for no charge, Drake isn’t bothered by it. He tweeted last Wednesday, “I gave away free music for years, so we're good over here....Just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY!”
Have you listened to either yet? And since it's already available for free, will you still show your support and buy them?
What happens when The Pouf meets The Rachel? Onlookers at L.A.’s Trousdale club found out when Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made a beeline for Jennifer Aniston at a June 7 party for MTV’s “The Hard Times of R.J. Berger” and “Warren the Ape," according to E!.
Aniston was sitting at a table with six friends (Monica, Ross, Phoebe… nah!) when the pint-sized “Jersey Shore” star, joined by her buxom castmate Jenni “JWoww” Farley, made their approach, E! online reports. The women reportedly shook hands and chatted for a bit – maybe they exchanged hair tips?
I’m going to try not to cry as I type this.
The “Glee” finale turned me into a sobbing mess on my couch. I was already dealing with the show’s first season coming to an end and the Tuesday night abyss that will be the next few months until the show returns in the fall.
Then the action started.
