Shrimp tacos, Gwyneth Paltrow style

Watch your back, Rachael Ray: Gwyneth Paltrow has got her knife out and she's cooking up some quick-and-easy meals of her own.

In the latest newsletter on her GOOP website, the Oscar winner shares her recipes for a Mexican family dinner, including Baja style shrimp tacos, pico de gallo, black beans, and guacamole.

While Paltrow's writing is certainly warm and informative, it's the accompanying video that really provides a crash course in cooking. Among the important lessons learned:

Keep your kitchen towel draped delicately over your shoulder, like Paltrow. It doesn't matter if you use it, the point is to look stylish.

Always dice chile peppers super-fine, so nobody gets killed with a powerful bite, warns Paltrow.

Don't distress if your kitchen isn't equipped with a giant indoor grill for cooking the shrimp. You can easily just do it in a grill pan or saute pan, she advises.

Apparently, guacamole, like cream cheese, is applied in schmears.

Most importantly, don't be afraid to praise your own cooking. After biting into the shrimp taco, Paltrow pumps her fist and proudly declares, "Home run, people!"

I would watch her read a phone book. I don't understand why people keep slamming someone who wants to post fun, interesting articles for free. I think she'd make a great friend.

It was down to earth and the tacos look really good. I'll be trying them. I'm really impressed with how comfortable she looks in the kitchen.

I watched the video. She actually does use the towel on her shoulder when she starts cutting up veggies. It was down to earth.
