On pins and needles for a royal engagement

The press on both sides of the Atlantic are on pins and needles as they lay in wait for word that Prince William has finally, after seven years, proposed to his girlfriend Kate "Waity Katie" Middleton. (Seriously, that's what the British press calls her, the poor dear, because she - along with the rest of us - has been waiting patiently for a proposal.)

Back in April, Tina Brown launched the ring hunt with a post on The Daily Beast that quoted insiders who said royal diaries had been suspiciously blocked off on June 3 and 4. CNN followed up on it, but a spokeswoman at William's official residence said, "We don't comment on speculation."

A June engagement would make sense, Brown said, because it would come after the hubbub of the Parliamentary general election, and getting married could serve as a nice transition for William, who will move on from helicopter school and become an operational pilot at the start of next year.

FCC may fine Fox for $25,000

Fox may end up with a $25,000 fine from the FCC for failing to respond to the organization’s inquiry into the more than 100,000 indecency complaints caused by the January 3 episode of Fox’s “American Dad.”

According to Variety, the FCC is citing Fox’s “apparent willful and repeated violations” of an order to respond, not the actual content of the episode.

The episode featured a scene where two main characters discuss giving a horse a "full release," followed by another suggestive scene that implies the action was accomplished.

Fox has responded with a statement saying it's “puzzled” by the FCC’s citations because they “responded to all of the questions related to substance of the investigation,” according to Variety.

Was the episode worth all the fuss? You can see for yourself here.

Did Lady Gaga go too far?

Lady Gaga is obviously unafraid to push the envelope, but her latest antics have fans wondering if she's pushed it a little too far.

Hours after a cab driver shot and killed 16 people in the English county of Cumbria on June 2, the singer simulated being murdered by a psychopath during her concert at Manchester's MEN Arena.

As the audience looked on, the 24-year-old New Yorker who previously faked a gory death while performing "Paparazzi" at last year's MTV Video Music Awards - was attacked by a man in black, who bit her neck and left her "dying" and dripping in fake blood.

Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': SBT goes to the movies

We all get a little wacky in our Friday meetings. Why? Because it’s Friday, of course.

Example: Our Line Producer Jenn Gerardo couldn’t stop jamming to the “The A-Team” theme song. She CANNOT wait until the movie comes out next week. We all gave her funny looks (not because she’s a bad singer) – but I pity the fool (ha) that messes with Jenn about “The A-Team.”

But let’s get down to some serious business… There are new Gary Coleman revelations today. His ex-wife is speaking out – and she’s fired up about being criticized for the way she’s handling his death. And now, Gary’s parents are fighting to get custody of his body.

Fans of the hit sitcom "The Nanny" were shocked when Fran Drescher announced in 1999 that she was divorcing her high-school sweetheart after 21 years of marriage.

Now, the Queens, N.Y., native has got another shocker to share: Turns out her ex-husband, "The Nanny" writer/producer Peter Marc Jacobson, is gay.
