Three major stars won't be on view at "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" premiere in London on July 1: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have all opted out.
While the Daily Mail reports that neither Stewart nor Lautner gave an explanation as to why they can't attend what would certainly be a screamfest, Pattinson, at least, has a good excuse: The teen idol is busy filming "Water for Elephants," a circus-themed love story in which Pattinson makes Reese Witherspoon's heart go pitter-patter.
The Brit-born actor was spotted on location in L.A. yesterday, sharing a laugh and cigarettes with cast and crew.
Though "Eclipse's" supporting stars - including Cullen clan siblings Kellan Lutz and Ashley Green - are expected to hit the red carpet at the Leicester Square premiere, Twihards will still get their fix of their favorite trio.
"Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) will not be far away, with specially recorded video messages for their UK fans," the films UK distributor, E1 Entertainment, said in a statement.
