For the most part, Zac Efron hasn't strayed from musicals and comedies, but the young actor is stepping outside of the box with his next film.
Fans of the “High School Musical” star will soon see Efron’s serious side in the new drama, “Charlie St. Cloud.”
Efron plays the film’s title character, who appears to have it all: great friends, family and an all-around amazing life. But when tragedy strikes, everything changes and Charlie's forced to see life in a whole new way. Oscar-winner Kim Bassinger plays Efron’s mom in the film, due to arrive in theaters on July 30.
And if you've always wanted to know what happens when your brother decides to marry the one girl who made your high school years a living hell, mark your calendar for the new all-star comedy, “You Again.”
Kristen Bell heads up the almost entirely female cast which includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Kristin Chenoweth and the triumphant Betty White, who, at 88, just received rave reviews for hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the first time. “You Again” opens in theaters nationwide on September 24.
For Helen Mirren, it may have been a little easier to bring work home with her for her latest film, since it was directed by her real life husband, Taylor Hackford.
The movie is called “Love Ranch” and centers around the lives of Grace and Charlie Botempo, the married couple who opened the first legal brothel in Nevada. Mirren portrays Grace while fellow Oscar-winner, Joe Pesci, plays Charlie.
The film also introduces Hollywood newcomer, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, a Spanish-born actor who shares quite a steamy love scene with Mirren. “Love Ranch” opens on June 30.
It is a little confusing at first, but appears to be plugs for 3 different movies. By the way, Kim's name is spelled Basinger. Long live Kim!
*kicks Tomm* use your brain dweeb. It's just a play on words to review and discuss new trailers that have hit the net. Don't be a ignorent doofus and I won't treat you like one.
BTW I loved the book Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud so I'm excited to see the adaptation to the screen.
This was AMAZING!
Talk about misleading headlines !!!!!!!!!!!
The headline made me think there was a movie about a trailer park that stared Helen Mirren (who once played Queen Elizabeth) and Betty White. I thought I definitely had to read this. But there is nothing about trailer parks at all in this article. Why on earth are you using the phrase "trailer park" in the headline ????
