RAZZIES: Bullock accidentally took wrong award

When Sandra Bullock took home the trophy for worst actress at this year’s RAZZIE Awards, she took home the wrong one.

Not the wrong award, mind you, but the wrong trophy. The Oscar winner was accidentally given the original RAZZIE – the one founder John Wilson designed more than 25 years ago – instead of the cheap replica (value: about $5) usually awarded to winners.

The RAZZIE committee has contacted Bullock’s publicist in hopes of “graciously exchanging” the two statues, according to Wilson.

“It’s really more about sentiment than anything else,” Wilson said.

The RAZZIE head is upset that readers on several stories are saying his group is doing this solely for the publicity. He says he mentioned the statue offhandedly to a reporter for Moviefone.com, but never spoke to the UK’s Telegraph as reported or meant to make this a public incident.

“We weren’t about to come at her when she’s in such a publicly painful place,” Wilson said. “I hardly think the RAZZIE awards should be any kind of priority in her life right now.”

Kim Kardashian, Joy Bryant show their 'naked truth'

Actress Joy Bryant and Kim Kardashian are the latest to disrobe for a nude photo spread, but these images will hit newsstands without any retouching.

The celebs revealed their “naked truths" for the May issue of Harper's Bazaar, exposing their figures as well as their philosophies about body confidence.

Kardashian, whose posterior is just as famous (if not more so) than she is, told the fashion magazine that she doesn’t understand all the fuss.

'Private Chefs of Beverly Hills' host medieval murder mystery

It’s another gorgeous day in Beverly Hills and the private chefs of Big City Chefs have three new events this week - all of the utmost importance. Chefs Brooke and Brian see to a medieval murder mystery party, chefs Stuart and Manouschka find themselves at the mercy of “Foodzilla,” and chefs Sasha and Jesse stand at the helm of a gourmet dinner club.

First stop: a Scottish Castle located in the heart of Beverly Hills. The chefs must create a multiple-course, 17th century English feast that also incorporates clues to expose a murderous dinner guest. If Medieval Times and Clue were to have a love child, this party would be it.

Unbeknown to the chefs, they too will become part of the murder mystery. Brooke, who is five months pregnant, is assigned the role of the neighborhood wench. (Badum-tish!) Brian is subjected to a pleather and vinyl ensemble somewhere between a cheap “Alice in Wonderland” costume and a MC Hammer video. After the humiliation passes, the quirky guests gnaw on turkey legs, drink from goblets and refer to each other as lords and ladies - all in all, a pretty normal affair. Ultimately, it is the vegetarian dinner guest who is revealed as the lethal milady. Irony ensues. FULL POST

Trailer Park: Male comedic duos hit the big screen

Every now and then a couple of trailers come out at the same time that seem to share a common theme. This week, two such videos grabbed my attention. Both are for movies that hope to entertain fans with the bumbling antics of a mismatched male comedic duo.

First, there’s Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in “The Other Guys.” The A-list pair stars as unlikely New York detectives determined to mimic the heroism and machismo of another, much more revered, NYPD duo played by Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. A highlight for me came during one moment in the trailer when Wahlberg simply can’t believe that Will Ferrell’s character is married to Eva Mendes.

The other film is called “Dinner for Schmucks.” It stars Steve Carell and Paul Rudd and is directed by “Meet the Parents” and “Austin Powers” director, Jay Roach. FULL POST

Coachella: My move to the dark side

I'm not trying to sound pretentious or "Hollywood" at all, but celebrities sightings don't really phase me. I just don't get starstruck. Maybe I'm immune because of all the "star-studded" events I've covered for work, but I just feel bad for celebrities when paparazzi are encroaching on their space.

We've heard this over and over again, but hey - celebrities are people, too.

But Friday evening, I crossed over to the dark side and became a "pap" myself. As Katy Perry put it in the chorus of her hit song, "I Kissed A Girl" and "I liked it." The location was Coachella's V.I.P. area, and the star was - wait for it - Katy Perry. FULL POST
