Tiger Woods is reportedly getting back in the sponsorship game.

According to TMZ, Woods shot a commercial for Nike at the Isleworth Country Club golf course not far from where he lives in Windermere, Florida.

Following allegations that Woods had cheated on his wife with multiple women, some sponsors backed away from their longstanding relationships with the golf superstar.

A spokesperson for Nike declined to comment to CNN on whether Woods was filming a commercial. Woods is scheduled to participate in the upcoming Masters Tournament next month.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to grasp a lot about this, like you wrote the e book in it or something. I think that you simply can do with a few p.c. to pressure the message home a bit, but other than that, this is excellent blog. An excellent read. I'll certainly be back.

"Let he without sin cast the first stone. He made a mistake, get over it!
If his wife is able to forgive him, than that is all that matters, not his so called fans!"

Well kinda. He made the same mistake like, no telling how many times, with 13 (known) different women. That's not really a "mistake". That's just, in your face, I don't care about my wife and family kind of crap.

I don't dislike Tiger because he's a good golfer. They dislike Tiger because he doesn't know how to keep his pants on when his wife isn't around. That has NOTHING to do with his golf skills. As for the women? I have less respect for them than Tiger. They ALL wanted to disrespect Elin. She should take his money and run. She's earned it.

The out-pouring is just another Michael Phelps drama... i.e. mini-van driving PTA hover parents hate the fact you can be wildly successful and have a vice or two to boot. It shatters the "you have to be absoultely perfect to succeed greatly" mentality parents have been using for years to try to control their over-achieving children into complete obedience.

The fact of the reality is our sports star aren't super men and women, they just have super-human skills but remain, just like the rest of us, vunerable to temptation.

Tiger Woods is a tool. Golf is not a sport. And most of all, Nike is one colossal turd, period. Nike represents nearly all that is wrong with corporate America. They are the first to represent punk athletes who have made no contribution to the collective societal good other than to excel at some sport. Additionally, all Nike's junk is made in China, Malaysia, etc. for slave labor wages while it's sold here at exhorbitant prices reaping huge profits. The world would be a better place without the likes of Nike. Boycott them and their ilk. Make a conscious effort to buy American goods.

I have to agree with Tracy Green....the only reason most people are "mad" is that these atrocities made a white woman look bad. Kobe (accused of rape!) , Shaq, and yes, the great Michael Jordan were/are known to cheat, yet no one is said they should not have been allowed to play their respective sport again....i.e, return to work! You SAY it's because Tiger sold himself as a paragon of virtue, a family man. Really? I didnt know Gatorade "Focus" promoted that. Accenture's ad was the only thing you could say "promoted" Tiger...and that was "Become A Tiger!" slogan in their ads.....

All of you who burned your Nikes and will not buy Nike again......Thanks!!!! Nike nor the people still wearing Nike products need you !

Now go and do your drugs, drink your vodka/red bulls, then go home and beat your wife or cheat on your husband. Just because you dont have endoresements doesnt make you a hypocrite!!!

Casting the first stone has nothing to do with NIKE giving this guy millions to promote their goods....it's all about the almighty dollar.

Whether you think he's been punished enough or whatever, it still stands that he's a "world class" cheater/sicko and I seriously doubt he's changed his ways much. The test will come when he's on the road and away from his wife when the urge strikes...what does he do then?

Personally, if he fell off the planet tomorrow, it wouldn't bother me a bit. But it might bother NIKE and their money grubbing philosophy of getting as much as then possibly can from the sorry name TIGER WOODS. Yuukkk!!!!!!!

There are many high quality sports equipment manufacturers in the market place, the removal of Nike products places our athletic family at no disadvantage on sports fields.

Let us get some order here...

The fact of the matter is no one is perfect. Tiger had a lapse in judgement that will affect his life in several ways. The Wood's are a very intelligent couple and will work through their issues and in the end their marriage will be stronger and Tiger will be a better man.

Additionally, Tiger will probably focus more on his game which will continue to improve. Lastly, at the end of the day he will have a beautiful wife, a great career, two beautiful little kids, a Gulfstream V, a $20 million dollar yacht, a net worth close to $1B, and travel to places most people see in screensavers.

    Don't hate.

You are all morons. If you cheat on your wife, have a gambling problem, or are an alcoholic...and you decide to get treatment, which for Tiger was 40 some odd days inpatient and continued outpatient. You don't have to stay home under house arrest. Once you're out of inpatient treatment, it's best to get back to your job and routine. His job is golf....professional golf....and as long as he is on a course, there will be companies jumping on his bandwagon trying to get a few more dollars out of the consumer. His past "routine" and least in regards to his personal life...was pretty disturbing, but he cannot implement his treatment by sitting at home and ignoring the world, and he knows that. Which is why he has to get back to his life, which includes golf.

Kobe played basketball while his case was still in court...

So quit acting like Tiger owes you something. He doesn't owe you anything. What he did is disgusting, and I'm not happy he did it....but I hope he gets through this and continues to play golf at the highest level.

Stop the irrational focus on sports and focus on matters of public policy, economy, medicine, and education of the next generation. Make sure your heros deserve the praise you give them for what they bring to society. Then, if they fall you can still say, "Yes, but they saved X many lives with this cure," or, "Yes they screwed up, but they also revived a flailing economy," instead of, "Sure he screwed up, but boy he can hit a ball into a hole."

"The Thinker: I dare say, with that mentality, serial killers and war criminals are ALSO famous...should THEY be making advertisements also?"

Come on...seriously? He didn't KILL anyone. He did what millions of men and women do every day in this country.....cheat on their spouse.

How come the women in this story aren't bashed as much as Tiger? They know he was married with a child, yet they proceeded to participate. But since he is the one with the $, the people bash him.

So if a high profile plastic surgeon cheats on his/her spouse, they should lose their license to practice?

The dude cheated on his wife, it's a personal/family matter, let it stay as it is...a private matter. You people need to worry about your own families and your own spouses.....and in keeping your relationships happy....

He has an endorsement deal with Nike, but he has to WORK FOR IT...if he sucks on the course, he will LOSE his endorsement...that is his JOB to keep that endorsement. Anyone who does anything at a high level will be rewarded......Whether it is on a golf course or in a factory.

If we didn't pour so much of our money into sports and entertainment, they wouldn't make as much money...so blame us for these athletes/entertainers and their large salaries.

Hope Tiger wins the Masters, not because of him coming back, but him fulfilling his destiny as a golfer, and that is to be the greatest ever.

You all just can't let it go. He has to be punished more and more. The rest of the world is allowed to make mistakes, but not Tiger Woods. No, you are allowed to harangue and critize until he is dead.

@Pat – calling Tiger's behavior "a mistake" indicates either a lack of maturity and sensitivity on your part - or a poor choice of words. A mistake is forgetting your house keys or leaving the toilet seat up. Cheating on your wife with "alledgedly" 12 women, saying that you did not think the rules applied to you, is an indication of servere character flaws and a lack of respect for your wife, your kids, and the sancity of marriage.

Well, his reputation is already tarnished in my eyes. Do I think he should be eternally punished by everyone, no. But he did do a lousy thing that just a public "I'm sorry" can't fix. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Not taking anything away from what he did because I know it was wrong and I would never want to be treated the way he did Elin. But at the same time how can you expect him to learn from his mistakes if you don't give him a chance to change them. His life has to continue at some point and we can't get upset everytime he chooses to make it better. He can't pay for what he did everyday of his life from now til forever. At some point he will have to get back in the game and change things. My only point is this is only the beginning of him getting things back to normal so we need to just suck it up and GET OVER IT!!

This man created a career where he was a role model for children as well as adults. When he became a celebrity, his behavior became public. His behavior should not be excused because he is good at golf. I hope his wife and his previous fans will walk away from him. Cheating on his wife shows that he has no business being a role model anymore and that he cannot act in a responsible manner. C'mon everyone. Turn your back on this loser. Just do it.

Good comment by jvx of VA. Too true - so many times after women have kids, their husbands become secondary and virtually ignored while the women dote and give all their attention to their "babies." Heck, there's even one commercial on TV where the woman calls her child "the love of her life." Yuck. My husband is the love of MY life. Keep your MARRIAGE first, ladies, and the men won't stray.

So many people, so many opinions. Let's face it folks, it's none of our business what Tiger does in his private life. Let his wife and him work this out, or not. He owes us nothing. I personally find what he did disgusting, but what does anyone care what I think. He probably shouldn't have gotten married, but it was his choice to make, and his wife's decision whether to forgive him.

I don't get half of you making a HUGE deal out of what he did. Like it's been said before " He personally doesn't owe any of you an aopology." That's between him and his family, get over it. As for not being a good role model, there are a lot worse people out there. I don't understand boycotting a company because of him. Look at the House of Representatives. More than half of them have been convicted of a myriad of crimes. However, no one seems to call on boycotting bills or any compnay that they might be associated with. You want to complain call them to task, they're elected officials.

In all honesty, Tiger Woods cheating on his wife is not going to stop me from drinking (Gator-Aid). And I was buying NIKEs before he was well known. He is a golfer. And until he does somethng to mess up the sport of golf, he will continue to be the greatest golfer. Everyone fell in love with Tiger because of what he does on the course, not because of his personal life. The personal life is between him and his wife.

I don't think the problem is with Tiger's promiscuity. I think it is his promiscuity AND being a role model for younger kids. So if Tiger buys Nike, the kids will buy Nike. If Tiger cheats and lies, the kids will think it's okay to cheat and lie. That is the biggest reason he should lose endorsements.

Why don't people remember that personal life is PERSONAL no matter your status in life. If he was doing chicks on the greens of the back nine then I can see that being news. The media didn't make all this fuss when my uncle cheated on my aunt....where was the media then? We have learned to forgive Clinton and Jordan so let's back off Tiger let him work out his personal life with his wife and God and stop bashing the man for making a living. When Jordan cheated we still cheered for him when he stepped on the basketball court and last I checked he is STILL selling shoes. If Tiger doing Nike commercials bothers you guess what you have the right to turn the channel and or stop buying Nikes and I can promise that it wont hurt either one of you. Charles Barkley said it best " I am not a role model" and he was right some people are just what they are, Tiger Woods is just a great golfer nothing more nothing less and as a parent ( a true role model ) my kids are aware of this.

Ok, here is my take....My Mom LOVED Tiger Woods...
She traveled to see him in person at Muirfield several times. Mom passed away quite suddenly on Dec. 3rd, the morning after Tiger admitted to his transgressions. She went to her death being extremely upset with him. Her very last day on earth was spent in a funk and disbelief about what he had done and the huge lie that he presented himself to be. Tiger- you are an ass, a waste of talent. You robbed my Mother of her last day and owe her a sincere apology. See how what you do has real life ramifications? A lesson for us all.

It's also terribly sad that other posters continue to make excuses for him: he's famous, the best at his sport, Elin should have expected this, he wasn't satisfied in his marriage and others have cheated, so what?, just reflects the moral compass so many of us have lost or never had.

It's interesting...this man needs to "make a living" and keep making large amounts of money - WHY? Why does he need to make any more money? He already has enough to live better than most people get to who work in deadly jobs (miners, our soldiers, etc). He is NOT a role model for anyone, but yet, he "deserves" to keep getting high paying sponsorship deals. I dare say, with that mentality, serial killers and war criminals are ALSO famous...should THEY be making advertisements also? Just because someone is good at something does not mean they should have unending sympathy from the bleeding hearts who are not considering what this teaches people. Which is that there is NO PENALTY for immorality. Amazingly enough, if it's the President, it's a horrible thing...but if it's someone who makes money for the advertisers...hey, we can let it slip, right??? Sad state of affairs in this world these days...

Separate the flaws of the man from his genius. I love Miles Davis's music, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend any time with him. He was a drug addict and reportedly a jerk. Charles Lindbergh supported Nazism, for heaven's sake. Should his record be stricken from history books?

If you are incapable of negotiating contradictory ideas about people, then you need to conduct background checks on all artists, musicians, athletes, politicians, etc. Start sorting and pitching your books and music.

While Tiger's personal actions are repugnant, they do not diminish his mastery of golf. (And, boy, do I hate golf.) If he loses his sponsorships, so be it. Don't buy his shoes or sports drink. I hope the love of the game and not ad revenue remain his impetus for playing. Otherwise, he is an even more reprehensible whore, because he will have screwed us all.

    Let him play.

Tiger Woods is loved because of his golf playing and his knowledge of the sport, that's why he is dubbed a role model, not because of who he sleeps with! You can't show me one person who will set their life's morals and values based on a celebrities sexual explorations....people either want to become famous or become a star athlete because of skill or talent, not how many notches you have on your bedpost!

I could care less about his endorsement. It's the same with celebrities "endorsing" a politician. Buy the shoes because the fit right and you like them not because Tiger says anything. People put too much into celebrity and go nuts when they see these people. It's crazy!

The most despicable thing about his whole thing is how the media and a lot of you "juror's" constantly put down Tiger, and give the whores and porn stars of that come out of the woodwork to advertise themselves as victims a free pass.
Case in point is Giraldo on Fox News has let that segment degenerate into a national inquire type sleazy program that promotes these women that can't keep their mouths shut, and makes it more difficult for Tiger and his wife to work on their relationship. Give them a chance to work things out.
How many of you believe a Porn Star does't know how keep from getting pregnant? After all that's their livelihood.

From 1995 through 1997, the then-President of the United States of America repeatedly had ‘sexual relations’ with a 22-year old White House intern, in various places in the White House to include the Oval Office. He then lied to Congress and the American public, on national TV, and absolutely nothing happened to him (I know, I know…the scathing impeachment by the House of Representatives). Now, an entertainer admits to extra-marital affairs and, apropos for Easter Week, the collective opinion is that he should be crucified. HHHHhhhhhmmmmmmmmm…….Me thinks something is amiss. Unless it’s Tiger in ’12, let the kid try to reconcile with his wife and get back on the fairway.

I love to watch Tiger play golf, but I think he is a repugnant human being. I wonder what his wife and (god forbid) his kids will think when a few years down the road he or they turn up HIV positive because of his terrible behavior. It is obvious that he wasn't particularly choosy when it came to the women he slept with. By many reporls, he didn't have "save sex" with the women he was with. Now, Nike is rewarding his behavior. I wonder what add they'll run if it turns out he has some STD. Just a thought.

Tiger Woods is the Michael Jackson of golf...he wants to control every aspect of his life, but he isn't able to deal with any public scrutiny. When will these control freaks realize everyone has needs? I have no issues with him wanting to be a player. But if that is what he wants, don't get married and have children. For the rest of their lives, Elin and their children will be exposed to all of the details of his immoral behavior. What was he thinking? Doesn't he have any feelings for those two beautiful children? All of his apologies, etc., are so phony. I don't think he's capable of change, and the real sorrow is his children will pay the price for his duplicity. Dude...MAN UP...right now you are such an incredible joke, that it doesn't matter if you win 200 championships. You will only be remembered in the Hall of Shame.

I love how all of these holier-than-thou folks are saying, "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone." Implying, that none of us should "judge" Tiger for his actions. Well, I ask: where do you draw the line about judging? I mean, we can't judge anyone for their actions? Because I've driven over the speed limit in my life, I can't judge someone for stealing, raping, or murdering? And to all those people who say he "made a mistake": when does it stop being a mistake and become a continued pattern of reckless, self-indulging behavior that hurts other people? A mistake is usually an isolated lapse, Tiger's shenanigans were ongoing, repetitive, deceitful activities.

Golf is a recreational thing. It can be played by young and old, weak and strong. So ... a great young player (Tiger) comes along and blows everyone out of the water. Big deal. There'll be another, and another, just like everything else. Sport ... bah .. Commentators speak of how "brutal" the conditions are, the "endurance" of the players. The issue here is not whether he should come back to golf or not, because that clearly is his business as is his personal life. However, it would be nice to have a role model that is either an admitted playboy, like Hugh Hefner for example, or a devout family man. This instead wreaks of what appears to be another session of building a new Amercian 'idol' again... comes back from the ashes of banging women while his wife and 9 month old are at home. It's the transparent short time off at the therapist, televised rehearsed confession and apology, with him 'not knowing when he was coming back', then announcing two weeks later he's 'coming back!'... and now making commercials again? It's more orchestrated image building that is rewarded with more big money by Nike... it only shows just how shallow and superficial the US continues to become.

Time for Tiger to put things behind and move forward and change his attitude and work thru the marriage problem and enjoy together with his wife and their two lovely children.
Media should put all what he did behind and shouldn't bring this past up any more and please let Tiger Wood to move forward and beginning to focus to play golf like before. No one can compares to his golf skill and it doesn't matter how many pros are out there, if you look at the way he played previously and no one can catch on Tiger at all probably until he retires from his golf career. With him playing and people has to put some effort in to win. Otherwise nothing for them to completing with others and anyone can be very easy to win the tournament without Tiger around because no competitions are out there.

I am in agreement with Joel, even those that are judgeing, we don't know what kind of freaky stuff they could be doing behind closed doors. Just cause the world don't see, don't mean God don't see.
And there are some weird people in the world today. I say we forgive him and let him get on with life, whatever it might be. You cannot get forgiveness, if you cannot give it. Praying for him, could help> we could all try that instead of trying to dog him out every breath. Can you believe all the mean things that comes out of peoples hearts today. And what about the women,. I would be furious if my daughter got on T.V. and told the world what a hot tail she had been and brag about it. I would pull her hair out. I mean, lets call it like it is, he was wrong, but they were uh? what do we call women like that? Home wreckers, they all knew he was married and had no regard for the homelife of his little children. What about all that? They couldn't wait to drop thier drawers. Oh I know now, they call them dogs in heat, right. I am an old woman, and have seen it all, god forgives everything, but they first have to ask, and then refrain from that sin again. Tlll they do that, they are what they announced to the world they were., its rock bottom reality, so I say behind every man who is doing sorry things, is usually a sorry woman. Who can cast the first stone?

Good for him. I hope he wins 14 more majors, and finds 14 more hot, willing women.

I think its funny that people expected the worlds richest, most famous, and successful athlete, to be a monogomous man.

    Ridiculous.

And ladies, in his shoes, your husbands would all do the same thing.

Let the man do what he does best. Play golf, and make money.

Tiger gave an apology to his wife. Its up to those two to work it out. The man's still got to make a living to support his family. So can everyone else please get off this man's back.

this guy is as big a phoney as i have ever seen. certainly lost my respect, i could care less if he plays golf or plays with himself.

he first of all tried putting himself out there as the greatest family man and daddy of all time, every interview "family comes first" yeah right, unless you have a family of hookers and porn stars.

some half-asssed apology will not win over the american people, it will only win over those desparate losers who STILL look up to this clown, or are somehow making a living off him.

In biblical times, people were stoned for their sins. Nowadays, the media persecutes someone that they feel is guilty.

I wonder how many of the paparazzi that continue to perpetuate this stoning are free of any wrongdoing?

My guess is most of them have nothing to talk about.

It's time to let go of what Tiger did and what he and his wife are doing. Who really cares... Don't we all have enough problems/things going on in our own lives to really care about this? If he's going to do a commercial, then go for it...Infidelity happens in half of marriages, and to those people, they deal with it. Stay together or divorce, it's their choice. Just like Tiger and his wife will deal with it. Frankly I'm sick of seeing this in the news... is this really news??? Health care, the ecomony, the war in Iraq, that's news...

His sins may be disgusting, but they are between him, his family, and his God. There isn't a person in this world who hasn't fallen short, who hasn't needed forgiveness. Stop focusing on the private faults of one famous person and put a little effort into fixing our own private failings. The world will be a lot better off if we all did this.

Why is everyone so angry and pissed at Tiger? All he did was get some @$$.... and yes his wife is absolutely gorgeous, but maybe she wasn't putting out. Either way, that's his business to deal with... not everyone out there that judges him. There are plenty of celebrities that have cheated on their spouses, but of course you all still love them the same.

Let he without sin cast the first stone. He made a mistake, get over it!
If his wife is able to forgive him, than that is all that matters, not his so called fans!

Good for you Tiger. Get back to life and show all those blue noses that you have a personal life and don't owe anybody any explanations. And kudos to Nike for standing by their man. Oh and "freddy", therapy is spelled therapy, not theropy.

how is someone suppose to really learn from mistakes if they are constantly rewarded in return. I think some time and theropy long theropy is in order here for anyone in this situation to completley heal.
