Who will be 'Idol's' first cut?I know who should be sent home Wednesday night on Idol, but it’s probably not going to happen.
I think Tim Urban’s time should have been up awhile ago, but that dude has more lives than a cat. Instead I think Didi Benami and Katie Stevens might end up on the bottom two. Both have had weak showings in the weeks leading up the Top 12, and both of their performances on Tuesday night came across as rather dull. Who will be the first one cut from the “Idol” Top 12? Find out on tonight’s show which will include performances by season seven "American Idol" winner David Cook, Orianthi and Ke$ha (yeah, I don’t get the dollar sign thing either). Join CNN tonight and throughout the "American Idol" season as Lisa Respers France blogs live during the performance and result shows. |

I tried and tried to vote for Lacey but kept getting a porn line answer instead. Finally got tired of trying and gave up. I wonder if anyone else had this problem.
Im voting for Mel Torme
Siobhan... each and every time I see her sign I think: over rated. She can surely sing but pushing those boundaries aren't always a good thing. The judges pump up her ego by praising each performance so that the next is even further out there in the wackosphere. George above commented that Siobhan was "...interesting, intriguing person, and have such a seductive voice." Hand check! Seriously, she looks to be mildly retarded.
This is, by far, the worst group of contestants that have ever graced the American Idol stages. Fortunately we delay watching on our DVR and skim past all the bad and mediocre performances and judging. We can get an hour long show condensed into 15 minutes. That's a new low record! All thanks to Simon, Kara and Randy!
Alex Lambert and Kee sha for that matter are great examples of no talent individuals being able to make it in the music industry. It's a self serving industry just like the media and if there's interest in a particular "artist" you gonna get a dose! Adam Lambert... I'll pass.
I do not like any of them. Send them all home. After Carrie anything is disappointing.
They got it right tonight. And the bottom 3 will contain the same two plus Katie or Andrew next week.
Bowersox, to me, sounds the same each time, a bit boring, just like the hundreds of musicians at the underground stations. And Siobhan ruined a good performance with that unnecessarily over the top screech at the end, it was just too much. Strange that she gets praised for this, I remember black contestants get to be critisized for such OTT sreeching.
Siobhan!!!
Tim should go home. Although not likely, I am still rooting for Andrew to win. Love the smooth vibe he has in his voice regardless of the song. The judges said it was pitchy, please, Sioban high note was what was pitchy.
Other than the last big note by Siobhan, what was good about it? It was one time where Randy would not have been wrong to use "pitchy".
Can 4 go home tonight?
.... PLEASE
Ha! VHS Unplugged. Let's try this again, slowly: V.....H.....1.
What's Adam Lambert doing now? Um, I think he's riding the wave of a best-selling album (gold, I believe), just had his Rolling Stone cover named one of the year's best, performed for VHS Unplugged, and is currently on tour in Asia. I know, not so great for an also-ran on American Idol.
Michele, I know in prior years they could read things on the internet, I don't know if that's no longer permitted but I can remember Sanjaya and ohh help me with her name, the odd girl with the tattoos who butchered Rockin' Robin, anyhow they both made comments during their fifteen seconds of fame each night alluding to being on VFTW.
I don't think Tim will be sent home, sadly, though he is the most deserving of the bus ticket back to wherever he came from. I have a feeling Katie may be the one sent packing.
Eponine, I look at it but it can be hit or miss, I mean Lacey has been in the low end each week but one thus far and yet she is still here. They have her on the low end again tonight so we'll see.
The last second of Siobhan's gutsy 15 minute note while the camera looped around her ten times was unfortunate. That girl has balls. She is just finding out how far to push her ability. You ladies need to recognize. Siobhan rules.
I think the show will trudge on for one more year with Kara 'Stay away from me, Ellen' Dioguardi, Randy 'Dope' Jackson and Ellen squiring in vermin like Howard Stern or somesuch....as for the talent I think Seacreast has become a bit of a liability after so many years of being Dick Clark II.
Bowersox is a seasoned performer who can't win cuz she's so seasoned. Personally I really like Siobhan but there's no Amy Winehouse or Lady Gaga in the wings, to be sure.
I'm rooting hard for Andrew. He has such a smoothness to his voice–I love it. I think Paige had a great night last night but don't think she'll last. I think Aaron and Katie are toward the bottom, too. Does anyone put faith in the predictions on Dialidol.com anymore?
Based on singing it should be Lacey and Tim going home
got a question...are the constants allowed to go on the net and read what is being said...or are they banned til its over???
Siobhan is such an interesting, intriguing person, and have such a seductive voice. she is the one this year
I am saying Tim or Andrew.
I feel real bad for Tim, they beat him up all the time and I felt like he could never really recover. Sorry dude.
And Andrew, one amazing rendition of "Straight Up" does not make a talented man. Gotta find a new "thang".
Who cares?!?! This show has jumped the shark and needs to be cancelled.
I AM PRETTY SURE IT WILL BE TIM. KATIE WAS GOOD LAST NIGHT SO WILL BE AROUND FOR ANOTHER WEEK OR SO. I THOUGHT DIDI WAS GOOD. ALSO LIKED MICHAEL AND LEE LAST NIGHT. BUT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ON THE IDOL!!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR TONIGHT.
HOPEFULLY KARA.........AND CRYSTAL
Tim Urban's gotta go. I like the guy but please... he's shocked himself that he's still around. He looks like a fish out of water.
Siobhan is kinda cool in a funky sorta way but how far did that get Adam Lambert? Sure, he got second place but what's he doing now? It's not always a good thing to be 'the very latest.' Maybe Adam and Siobhan can join forces and create some whacked out album.
Andrew Garcia is dying on the vine. I liked his first audition song but not much after that. He's got a good heart.
Aaron Kelly sounded good last night. The kid has a voice. Will it be enough to carry him all the way through? I doubt it.
Casey James looked like he had fun but we all need to be impressed not entertained.
Lee let us all down but he did give us enough to make it through to next week.
Bowersox sounds the same every week – great. But she does sound the same. She needs to change it up or risk losing ground.
Paige Paige Paige... I like Paige but she certainly hasn't been firing on all eight cylinders lately.
The rest were mediocre at best.
Tim or Katee should go
