Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson was laid to rest Tuesday in a private funeral in New Jersey.
The service was attended by close friends and family, including New York Jets owner Robert “Woody” Johnson, Casey’s mother Sale and her sisters Jaime and Daisy.
Johnson, 30, was found dead in Los Angeles on January 4. Her family arranged for her body to be flown back to the east coast for a private funeral.
She struggled with diabetes her entire life, but a cause of death has still not been determined.
"Casey struggled throughout her life fighting this disease, and she would want to see all of us continue that fight on her behalf," said family spokesman Jesse Derris. Donations can be made to the Casey Johnson Memorial at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Johnson had recently been romantically linked to reality television star Tila Tequila, who claimed that the two women were engaged. Tequila was not in attendance at the funeral service.
