Get ready for a couple of fresh faces - and one familiar one - in the spring and summer lineup of television dramas.
HBO’s vampire series “True Blood” continues to attract new blood. “Southland" co-star Kevin Alejandro will be appearing on the series as an orderly who gets involved with line cook Lafayette. Because Lafayette's plotline isn't included in the Charlaine Harris series of books on which the show is based, we're all excited to see how their romance pans out.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alejandro will continue to appear on “Southland,” which will air on TNT starting January 12 after moving from its previous home at NBC.
Julian Morris, who played Dr. Andrew Wade during the final season of medical drama “ER,” will be joining the cast of “24” as a CTU agent.
And Kim Raver, best known for turns on “Lipstick Jungle” and “24,” will become a regular on the ABC drama “Grey’s Anatomy.” After enjoying a role as recurring character Dr. Teddy Altman, Raver is expected to appear in all but one of the show’s remaining episodes this season.
I am so looking forward to the new season of True Blood. I'm a devoted fan, who makes sure she's home on Sunday nights to catch the episode when it airs. I never miss an episode. And it's going to be cool to see LaFayette get involved with someone. I'm glad they kind of deviated from the books and kept him alive. Nelsan Ellis has been fun to watch, especially last season when he was hallucinating and seeing Eric's face everywhere. Of course I'm also interested in seeing what happens to Bill and Sookie and the rest of the cast. This is my fav show on HBO, followed by Big Love and Hung. Well done HBO and Alan Ball.
I just watched the first season of True Blood (we had started with the second) and can't wait to see the next season. I love "Southland" and he will be a great addition to the cast!
I like the True Blood Series but I look forward to 24. Now, that's my show. Watching Jack blow people up and shoot up the enemy. Plus, noone is safe on 24. Noone, including Jack. Now, that's realism at it's best. Plus, it reminds you of what we as Americans face with terroism. It may not be the real thing, but it does grab your attention and have you look into the lives of those who are trying to stop conspirators from killing the American Dream.
