....so my mother is 92, and we were watching Miss Universe. Am I the only one who was horrified to see 80 women who are considered to be among their COUNTRY's most educated, talented and beautiful, gyrating on stage to the repeated (and repeated, repeated, repeated) lyric of, "When I say jump, you say How High?"
Is this country so nuts that we have polls on Michelle Obama wearing shorts, and allow such incredible insensitivity (okay, I'll admit the forum doesn't exactly scream women's lib) in a pageant that is supposed to represent what is finest about the young women of the world?
How could this have escaped pageant officials, directors and the women themselves as being INCREDIBLY sexist and insensitive.
