North Korea Pardons Lisa Ling's sister!Lisa Ling’s sister Laura and her fellow journalist Euna Lee have been pardoned and will soon be heading home from North Korea. Lee and Ling had been sentenced to 12 years of hard labor after crossing the North Korean border while on assignment for Current TV. Their families just released the following statement: “The families of Laura Ling and Euna Lee are overjoyed by the news of their pardon. We are so grateful to our government: President Obama, Secretary Clinton and the U.S. State Department for their dedication to and hard work on behalf of American citizens. We especially want to thank President Bill Clinton for taking on such an arduous mission and Vice President Al Gore for his tireless efforts to bring Laura and Euna home. We must also thank all the people who have supported our families through this ordeal; it has meant the world to us. We are counting the seconds to hold Laura and Euna in our arms.” |

Former President Clinton must have been very persuasive. Makes you wonder what is the deeper story beneath the story we are hearing. I much prefer diplomacy over violence.
I want to thank Former President Clinton for his aid and all that was done to release these journalists I have prayed for the families and the journalist. And you have now been blessed.
People should be more educated on the laws of other countries. We are so lucky to live here in america. It is great that they are free. It is so so so wonderful.
Yeah thank god they're free
