My heart is broken, I can't believe that Michael Jackson is dead. I grew up listening to his music , I remember listening and watching him singing and dancing to "ABC" . I fell in love with music and with Michael and his brothers the first time I heard them sing . One thing that surprised me about Michael is he was very young when he started singing with his brothers but when you listen to him and the words that he is singing you would think he was mush older.
Michael you will always be in my heart and I will miss you , rest in peace Michael.

Maybe you should go back and listen to the interview where Michael explains how "Blanket" got his nickname. It was an endearing term that Michael used so he gave it to Blanket when he was born.

I agree MJ loved his kids so very much & those babies love him beyond belief. I believe they all felt safe with one another. He will be missed by family as well as fans, it's just a shame he couldn't be happier in his day to day life here. His happiness was focused around his children as well as music.

Bev Monte - I understand your sentiments, but 'Blanket' is Prince Michael II's nickname or pet name given to him by his own father, MJ. There is nothing wrong with giving a child a pet name as it is usually a term of endearment. Indeed, there is significant evidence that MJ loved his children dearly and would not have done anything to hurt them, including calling them inappropriate names. Little Prince Michael has been called the name since he was a baby (based on interviews with MJ) either because he used to be covered in a blanket or that he used a blanket for comfort, which many children around the world do. However, it may be that your umbrage relates to the media using the pet name in a derogatory manner (I have not come across this myself). In any case, the media's fascination with MJ will not cease for many years to come and although I, as a staunch MJ fan, do not like any of the malevolent things I read about him, I have learned to distil what is the truth, what is exaggerated and what is a complete fabrication. Perhaps one day, history and the media will treat MJ with more respect and fairness. I recall that our very own Princess Diana was ridiculed and unappreciated by the media (mainly the tabloid press and related TV stations) before she died and yet she became ‘loved and respected’ once she passed away.

I am just as sorry for Michael's children - especially little one, Prince Michael, 2nd.. I am deeply distressed that some members of the news media call him "Blanket." This is demeaning to a child. Prince 2nd should not be saddled with a "label" based on the action of his father. Little Prince should be allowed to move on; and he should be called by his proper name. This goes for everyone - not just the media.

I think that a lot of people are responsible for the early demise of Michael Jackson, especially the media, i.e. Diane Dimond, Martin Bashir, Diane Sawyer to name a few. I don't know why Jackson's plastic surgery, the color of his skin or the biology of his children and molestation of children was the main topic of conversation when it came to Michael Jackson. How come we almost NEVER hear about his donations to charities and the countless ways that he helped children and their families?

Because the truth rarely sells papers or brings in ratings. How sad of a world that we live in. Just like Jesus, a meek and caring soul that was crucified for his goodness, so was Michael Jackson. It is always the good ones that society rips apart. Is is that human nature is more evil than good and that we don't understand true goodness when we see it, or do we just reject it out of greed and intolerance? You decide.

It's ridiculous how the media is just totally disrespecting MJ's wishes!! Everyone in the world knows that the 1 thing MJ DID NOT want was for his private life and his kids to be on public display....this is just total disregard for ones wishes and a total lack of respect for ones privacy... as soon as the man died, people were scrambling and rushing to get his personal belongings, videos, photos, etc... Everyone who bought 1 magazine w his personal photos or watched 1 video clip of his home life should be ASHAMED!!! We should all be ashamed for allowing it to happen..just bc a man is dead doesn't mean it's open house on his life!! Everyone's tryin to find a way to profit from his personal life which he PURPOSELY kept private.. it makes me sick! this whole thing is almost as bad as the whole Terri Shibel incident... this countrys' society n media has NO RESPECT for anything but $
