Celebrity reaction to Jackson's death pours in

Celebrities are speaking out and sharing their grief over the loss of Michael Jackson tonight.

Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life!! He made me believe in magic. I will miss him!” – Sean “P.Diddy” Combs

"I don't know what to say. I loved him. Not just his music but "him" his idealism and openness and humanitarian heart, his understanding of the human family as one, the high spiritual nature of him and to juxtapose THAT, with a great worldy impact and success,..... He was TRULY a special soul. As a person in the music industry, I've seen a glimpse of how rewarding but also how hurtful it can be , especially for sensitive souls.  I actually think he was too special and fragile for the world he was in.  My heart goes out to every member of his family." With love- India Arie

"I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"  – Britney Spears

"I can't stop crying over the sad news... I have always admired michael jackson..The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!.. My heart goes out to his 3 children and other members of his family... God bless"- Madonna

"Michael Jackson will live forever through the thing that he put all of his life energy into: his music. I will do my part to keep the melody alive, to keep the energy forever changing form, but never ever dying!! Long live Michael Jackson." – Ne-Yo

"Michael Jackson was easily as influential as James Brown, and that's saying a lot.  He was the Fred Astaire of his time.  We had Vincent Price in common - I used him first on "Welcome To My Nightmare" in 1975, and he later used him on "Thriller."  Nobody moved like Michael, he was truly the King of Pop." – Alice Cooper

"I am full of grief."- Whitney Houston

“Michael Jackson will always be remembered as one of the greatest performers in the history of popular music.  As a child of the 80's, I feel as though his music and his videos have been an inseparable part of my life and that of an entire generation.  And the powerful thing about great music is that it will always live on.  He was and always will be an icon.  My heart goes out to his family, friends and countless fans for their tragic loss.”- John Legend

“I am heart broken. My prayers go out to the Jackson family, and my heart goes out to his children. Let us remember him for his unparalleled contribution to the world of music, his generosity of spirit in his quest to heal the world, and the joy he brought to his millions of devoted fans throughout the world. I feel blessed to have performed with him several times and to call him my friend. No artist will ever take his place.  His star will shine forever.”- Mariah Carey

“I can’t find the words right now to express how deeply sadden I am by Michael’s passing.   We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music, but of all music.  He has been an inspiration to multiple generations and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together.  My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.” – Justin Timberlake

I feel like a part of our childhood is gone...a part of my mother's
with Michael's days in the Jackson 5, and a part of my own with
days of Thriller & Bad. We have lost a true icon and one of the
best entertainers of all time. There will never be another like
Michael Jackson. His talented gifts will live on forever. We love
    you Michael!

I love MJ. He was one of the most important artists. A multi talented person, a showman, a dancer, a songwriter, a singer....

    RIP.... No more words

The music item my sister and I bought with our allowance was a Jackson 5 eight track cassette. We split the cost so we would each still have some money left.

Michael Jackson is one of the few artist that I can play and my kids not say 'what is this?, can you put something else in?'

I will always love MJJ. Not only his music but the person that he was. Although I never had the opportunity to meet him or see him in concert he has been a part of my life since I was born in 1982. May you Rest In Peace and see the enormous amount of love being shown to you at this time. I pray that the media will stop trying to dissect your life and talk about the tragedies in your life. You will live forever. In my heart and in my home MJJ lives.
