Carrie Prejean responds!

This just in to the Showbiz Tonight news desk: Carrie Prejean’s attorney, Charles S. Limandri, tells us:

“This is all kind of a big shock.  We’ve been working with Mr. Trump’s office; she’s been doing all the speaking engagements she’s been asked to do.   It is not true that she has not been cooperating.   Something is going on; the truth is not being told.    I don’t understand where this is coming from, or why.  For people to say that she breached her contract, that she is not doing speaking engagements is false.  She did one last Sunday in Las Vegas and it went really well. I spoke to her for about a minute earlier today, and then she got a call from Trump’s office, and that was the first word.   No one said to her, Carrie, you are not doing what we want you to do."

Looks like the gauntlet has been thrown down!

What do you think? Should Carrie Prejean have lost her crown?

Be sure to watch Showbiz Tonight at 11pm Eastern and Pacific on HLN for all of the latest developments.

When are people gonna wake up and realize that being Christian does not mean "tolerant of every little thing that society comes up with?" The simple-minded general public seems to think that any objection to a lifestyle is the same as bigotry. These are the same morons that coined the phrase "homophobia", as if there were any fear involved (they would like to believe that). Christianity says that homosexuality is wrong, same as pedophilia, period. Carrie stood up against that, unlike the majority of sheep out there who would cave to public opinion. Obviously, some people do not like the fact that she has a mind (and backbone) of her own. Then there are the Perez Hilton idiots of the world, that react to not getting their way like a spoiled 3rd grader on the playground. To the person who claims to know what a TRUE CHRISTIAN is (Sharon; she used all caps), it is quite obviously you who is ignorant. In a world where the church is slowly becoming more accepting of homosexuality (in spite of the fact that it says it is a grievous sin in black and white, but It just shows how selectively illiterate some people can be), that is saying something.

I think its funny how 'anti-Christians' expect Christians to behave so perfectly and call them hypocrits if they make mistakes or make immoral choices. Being Christian doesnt mean you are perfect or incapable of making mistakes or poor choices, it means you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and accepted what He did on the cross for you. You are not a robot, but a free-willed, imperfect being who is capable of error.
Also funny that while they hold Christians to this perfect standard, they justify the worst behavior for themselves. Well that's between you and God, but she does have a right to her opinion. How come those who cry for tolerance are the LEAST tolerant of all??

They had it in for her the moment she responded to the "same sex marriage" question. I seriously doubt that she hasn't been fulfilling her contractual obligations. Obviously, Donald Trump regretted his decision to allow Carrie to retain her crown and caved in to pressure to fire her. Carrie will move forward and make laughing stocks of all of them.

I think Carrie has a right to speak her own convictions in response to the question that she was asked. I also believe that she should honor her contract to the USA organization. It is a he said/she said situation at this point so we really don't know the truth of whether she didn't honor the contract. The reality is that she is a beautiful, talented and smart girl so she will inevitably land on her feet.. I applaud her for her honesty... and wish her all the best.

No – But she's better off for it. They were out to get her because of her personal opinion. Too bad freedom of speech isn't. Political questions have NO place in a beauty contest. Why isn't the president being called a bigot? He doesn't support gay marriage either.

Carry on Carrie?? You mean "carry on your discrimination and hate" don't you!
This so called "moral Christian" who promotes discrimination and then lies to everyone about topless pictures, what a joke! Christian my behind!
Despite that stupid Idiot Perez and his hate filled comments, this so called fine upstanding moral christian girl should have been slapped and dethroned weeks ago. I wonder if she has to give back the scholorship (sp) money, the car and oh yea, the breast the pageant paid for???
    What a joke!
Go away Carrie..no-one cares anymre what you think..find a nice little hole and crawl in it! Your 15 minutes are up.

Carrie isn't the only person who believes in traditional marriage. The majority of people do. The president of the United States' opinion lines up with Carrie's on the topic of gay marriage as do most cultures and religions. These jabs at Christianity are nonsense and seem to be coming from very bitter, tainted, and conflicted minds. Further, they are made in an angry or sarcastic tone. Why is that? Why do these critics revel in seeing someone lose what they have earned or "be taken down a notch?" Perhaps because they want everyone who disagrees with them to suffer? Is that healthy? Carrie bravely defended what is right at an enormous cost. And if she's a "real Christian" she knows that through Jesus' sacrifice she will have forgiveness, guidance, and blessings from her Creator.

If she lost her crown because she broke her cotractual obligations then it is acceptable. However is she was fired to to pleaze big name good for nothing utterly stupid celebrity judges then she has been wronged.

The truth and justice finally wins. ALWAYS!!!! I am sure Ms. Prejean is not going to drop dead because she lost her crown. She is a beautiful and talented woman and she will go on to bigger things. It has already been proven that the judges at teh peagent thought she was the best. What ever that follows later on hardly ever matters. She did win the title and that cannot be taken away from her.

I commend her for speaking from her heart...even if I didn't agree with what she said. I think pageants are a waste of time and resources.

PS. How do you fire someone for their beliefs...but keep a drug addict. Please.

If I'd had any respect for the pageant or Donald, I would have lost it. But seeing as it was non-existent to begin with...nothing's lost.

    ONWARD.

Carrie's remark may not reflect what America wants to hear but it does not mean she is not correct. Majority may not always be correct but God always is now and forever.

finally she lost her crown. i am so sick of hearing "i didn't win because of my views on gay marriage" that was not why she didn't win miss usa and she should have lost her miss cali crown when the first photos of her nude first appeared. i want to know how she is meeting her requirements when she is out talking about her views and how she was wronged. she needs to shut up and admit to what she did.

I dont believe she should have been fired for her statement on gay marriage. They asked her opinion,,she gave it..But what I believe bought her down was the hypocrasy (sp) of Christian "ethics" and then semi nude or nude photos..Cant have it both ways...I do not believe in gay marriage nor do I believe in posing semi nude for photos..The whole "beauty pageant" thing has become a travesty anyway..and should be eliminated

If you say something I don't like – It's Freedom of Speech????!!!!

Whoever gives Miss Former California a stigma for saying her mind

Ick. She's an idiot. Anyone who thinks they'll get into a VS catalogue by doing some cheesy test shoot is a moron.
As for her homophobia, I hope she rots.
After all the help and attention she undoubtedly got from The Gays while she was in pageants I think she's a total B for stabbing them all in the back like that.
The sooner her 15 mins are up, the better.

God Bless Carrie!!! It's about time someone answers one of those questions honestly and refuses to sell out when put on the spot. Although lying about the pictures really didn't help. People, don't hate her for her opinions, not everyone agree's with yours.

Yes she should have lost her crown. She should have lost it a long time ago. She lied on her application, she was not impartial at all, the way I believe someone in her position should be. I am glad she lost her crown. Maybe this experience will give other young ladies something to think about before they lie on their applications and to leave your opinions to yourself, especially when you are held on such a high standard.

She deserved to be fired. If she was not living up to her contract then Mr. Trump did the right thing. She was a embarrassment and for her to judge gay couples, well thanks to karma her judgement finally came.

Hey American Pie...obviously you are not a TRUE CHRISTIAN because if you were, you would read your bible and realize that relations between a man/man or woman/woman is an abomination in His sight. Speak it Carrie. All the TRUE CHRISTIANS are behind you. And I, for one, am sick to death of hearing about gay rights. Seems the gays are allowed to speak up for their cause but when a Christian speaks up for their cause, they have committed some crime. I ain't buying it. If you want to be gay, do it on your own time and stop trying to force your sin on the rest of us.

Hilton needs to be taken down a notch. People have a right to there opinion. He asked a question and got an answer and since it wasn't the answer he wanted he has determined that she shouldn't have the crown. I don't agree with her opinion but she has every right to make it. I would rather hire her then people with hidden agenda's. At least I know what I'm getting.

No one can judge by the color. If she is a real Christian, she will tell the truth. She suffered already for doing what is right.

Absolutely she should have the crown taken away!
She answered honestly to get her in trouble, then felt lying was the right means to get out of the other issues. Shes a walking hypocracy. Her brother is a known homophobe (theres videos of him ranting), and its hard for me to believe she thinks much differently..especially when asked about why she didnt reveal the pictures to the pageant her response was this BS, "its not that i didnt reveal them, i just didnt think a professional would release them"..so, she lied, and thought it would all just go away.
Saddest part is shes probably happier than a clam right now, as she can now devote her time to her homophobiic behavior and getting paid for it. LOL, should she write a book, well i doubt that will hit the NY Times best seller list.

Carrie Prejean should have lost her crown a LONG time ago. She promotes discrimination, not something a TRUE AMERICAN OR CHRISTIAN condones. Then a semi nude picture of her comes out, and she says that picture is the only one in existance. Why was a christian posing in provacative ways? Then a ton of more nude pictures surface. Totally topless nude pictures. SHE LIED. Again not the way a TRUE CHRISTIAN is supppose to act. SHe proved she is a liar, hate monger, bigot, and all around NOT what California or America needs as a representative in ANY form!!

At this point, who cares? Donald Trump has already let everyone know that it's okay to lie on your application and break the rules because anyone can be forgiven and given a second chance. Thanks to people like him it's no wonder no one seems to worry about the consequences of their actions anymore.
