The confetti has flown, and I am floored.

Kris Allen just pulled the biggest upset I have ever seen!

Can you believe it? I loved the ending with him in the emotional clinch with his wife. I am still trying to wrap my brain around it.

I can't take it!!!

Now this is a show!!!

Adam and Kris singing "We Are the Champions" with Brian May from Queen playing is classic!

I need Queen to sign Adam on as their lead singer ASAP.

And it ain't "American Idol" without a choir, so I was not at all surprised to see one appear on the stage. I am beside myself!

Lord, they are really trotting them all out tonight, aren't they?

As soon as I heard the guys singing "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy," I knew Rod Stewart was somewhere close. His "Maggie" has everyone grooving, and we flash to Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice feeling it. Nicole Richie is even there. And was that her baby daddy with his hair dyed blond?

They have really pulled out all the stops tonight.

The last "Golden Idol" thingie is being awarded, and I could not care less - except that I had almost forgotten about Tatiana! She can sing, and despite there being a whole lot of crazy stuffed into one little girl, I wouldn't have minded seeing her make the final 13.

Steve Martin and his banjo. Megan Joy and Michael Sarver singing. What more can I say?

No, seriously. I kid because I love. Steve's song "Pretty Flowers" is a lovely banjo piece, and I think  I am going to just leave it at that.

I will say his surprise appearance is one of the things I love about this show. You just never know who's going to pop up.

I was wondering where Matt Giraud was tonight.

He joins the great Carlos Santana on "Black Magic Woman" before  the rest of the guys come out to sing "Smooth." They must have told everyone to bring the sexy, because they are really trying to work it.

Oh, look at Heather Locklear. Does that chick ever age? Seriously, it should be against the law to look that hot. And then there is Janice Dickinson - enough said.

Kris and Adam both get free cars? Sweet!

What in the world?!?!?

Adam is singing "Beth" dressed like a cross between Edward Scissorhands and David Bowie during the Ziggy Stardust era. I am about to welcome him to the Thunderdome when it is all made clear with the appearance of Kiss!

Finally someone who wears more makeup than Adam!!

Their medley of "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock 'n' Roll All Night" with all types of pyrotechnics going off on stage is pure perfection.

OMG, it does not get much better than this!!!

Whenever I hear that Lionel Richie song "Hello," I can't help but remember the music video where he was stalking that blind girl.

Danny Gokey sings "Hello" before Lionel comes out to sing his new single, "Just Go," with Gokey, which I actually like. Lionel may want to consider kicking Akon to the curb and re-cutting that song with Gokey.

What I love about Lionel is he knows what the fans really want, and he and Danny launch into "All Night Long." That song will always be the jam, and Paula is up and dancing, of course.

Danny sounds really good, and his dancing has improved. Go-Go-Gokey!

The little rocker chick is back to do a duet with Cyndi Lauper.

I've missed Allison Iraheta, and she more than holds her own with Cyndi on "Time After Time."  I like the arrangement and their singing in a round. Such a pretty song, even when they start what sounds like a loony chant.

We get to hear from the Allens and the Lamberts, and they are so proud.  Side note: Kris Allen's mama has on a red dress that is really something - and I won't say what!
