I think Adam is lovely. ..As a person, an entertainer and especially as a singer. I truely think Kris is boring in his performances. It is the same ol' same ol'. Adam is a surprise, an anxious moment of what will he do next, and most importantly – a superb voice. Thanks to Adam for making it a competition worth watching.

The judges looked shocked as HECK that Kris was in instead of Danny. Simon looked pissed.

I think in many of our hearts we wanted Adam and Kris. I'm thrilled that America voted with their hearts. Reminds me of Obama's victory!

Kris deserves to be in the finale. These are the two most original contestants this season who have proven themselves to make the songs original and their own! I hope that Kris triumphs, but believe Adam is very talented and just using Idol as his concert stage.

The BEST finale would have been Allison vs. Adam, but this is a good second choice. Kris is obviously attracking all the screaming lil boppers....Adam is head and shoulders above Chris in raw talent. I call Adam the winner next week!

A Kris-Adam finale is way better than a finale involving Gokey. It was his time to go. I think it was the judges who underestimated Kris's appeal, talent, and fan base. I supported Kris, Adam, and Allison through the season, so with the exception of Allison going last week, I'm thrilled with the outcome. Next week will be AWESOME!

Gokey should have been gone weeks back. Kris and Adam will be a better finally. I want Adam to win but there's a good chance Danny's fans will vote for Kris.

I think the right two made the finals if you are going by vocals only. I think they are the best singers (but i also think Allison was up there with Kris).

If Danny had sung with that heart last night that he did tonight, he'd be in the finals. Kris second song last night was fantastic.

I think all 3 Adam, Danny & Kris have their own unique strength and weaknesses that brought the BEST to American Idol so far. I "wish" there was another "twist" where they can all be allowed to compete in the finale, because I really think all 3 are somewhat equally good. I knew more or less Adam will "secure" a spot at the finale, so it was either Danny or Kris... both I have come to enjoy their own unique brand and style of music.

It should have been Adam and Allison; but since that's not possible, Adam and Kris is the next best. Frankly, Kareoke Gokey should have gone home a long time ago.

Paula acts like she is on some crazy stuff sometimes but it is the vote that really counts. I dont know how much of that tongu hanging screaming I could take of Adam. He is so animated. Chris – who is he still? Gokey was to churchie – may like another Ruben but he was my favorite nd I am a litle older than most AI fans.

I am shocked, but elated that Kris is in the finals. It does make for a more interesting final because most had Danny and Adam in the finals weeks ago. Kris will absolutely give Adam a run for his money!

I always knew that Adam would make it to the finals, but Chris got very lucky. It would appear that all the teenie-boppers voted him into the finals. Danny Gokey is a far superior singer than Chris. this finale will be a farce simply because Chris just does not have what it takes to beat Adam. America has gotten it wrong with Chris.

It is about time. If it had been Gokey in the finale, I doubt I would have watched. Adam is most likely going to win, but I think Kris has a much better shot than Danny would have. I am 100% rooting for the dark horse. I like Adam, but I would buy Kris' music.

I'm really glad that Kris is in the Finals. I think he has performed great all season and did fantastic on Tuesday. This should be a great Finale and I hope that Kris pulls off the great upset and wins it all.

America definitely chose wrong. Danny deserved to be one of the final 2. This was his first time in the bottom three, and has alot more talent than Adam...The finale will not be as surprising as it could have been. Keep rocking Danny!! Milwaukee is proud of you and still loves you!

Kris' voice is not strong. Machines will help but why vote for that? we have too many Auto-tune performers...I would appreciate a really really good singer. No argument, it's Adam.

I am glad that Kris and Adam are in the final. I was a little shocked, after all the people against Adam last night I thought he would be going home. I am glad he is not because it is going to be a much better final. Danny just got a little boring...always the same ole every week, at least Kris and Adam change things up!

Wow, Kris over Danny? I dont see it. Danny's performances are much more soulful, have greater range and interpretation. Kris is good, but he should have been voted off before Alison. I dont think people are voting based upon singing ability anymore. There will be no competition next week – Adam will win surehandedly.

I wanted it to be Kris and Danny just to show the judges they could not manipulate the American people into voting for who they want to win. Adam is a screamer that screams the same note over and over. If anyone else did that Simon would have already called them on it, but for him they call it wonderful because he is edgy.

It stinks. Danny has an incredible voice and should be in the final. Kris' second song last night was terrible – it makes you wonder if it's fixed just because he's the one who also got the "save" a few weeks ago. If the voting next week truly goes to the best singer, Adam is going to slaughter Kris in the final.

I got tired of Adam's drag queen act a long time ago. For the first time ever, I really don't care who wins. We've learned from past seasons, the true talent shines through regardless of the winner so then we shall see who survives.

sadly...Adam WILL NOT win...he should win...he's well above the rest in talent and creativity...but think about it...all of Danny's voters now have to pick someone, and they will clearly pick the similar, safe, boring, monotonous sounding guy...Chris. oh well. I honestly believe we (America/ the world) have been entertained by some of the best young singers there are. Many of the people feel bad when their favorite is voted out. This has to be the best year of Idol yet, and I wish the best to the one who takes the winning votes. Kudos to all the contestants.

I'm really glad to see that Kris made it into the final. I was hoping for a Kris/Danny, but Kris was my favorite one left ( the best left last week). I hope that next week Kris continues to sing well and that the Mabeline/screecher disappears from our view. Even if adam wins I seriously doubt his ability to reach most of America...he appeal will be to a very narrow field. Good luck to Kris next week!

I completely agree with Allie B, Kris has been underestimated the whole season, and finally he is getting his due. This will be an excellent finale, with both Kris and Adam deserving to be there–this is the first Idol in some time where we had current, exciting contestants for weeks, ending up with a unique and cool duo for the finale! Congratulations to you both, Adam and Kris!

Sooo glad Gokey is gone. He is not nearly as talented as Adam and Kris. I think this final is going to be one of the closest and most anticipated ever.

Sorry to see Danny get voted off, but I know he will make it as an artist. He's very soulful.

I could not believe the AMAZING turnouts for Danny and Kris' homecomings for several events each. I heard that Adam's turnout was poor, but I saw it on the show tonight, very insignificant and sad in comparison!!
I think Adam moving on had to be rigged. What makes me very sad is that the show is rigged at all, whoever wins. I just can't believe that it is not rigged after that. I don't remember as poor a turnout for anyone ever as Adam's was on the video of his homecoming run on the AI show tonight. Just can't believe anything other than something has to be rigged about the voting. AI wants Adam to win.

When listening to the "judges" or looking at the embroidered "Adam Lambert" advertisement on the back of an Elvis Cape during tonight's show, one has to wonder if Simon or Fox executives are interested in American opinion.

I think it was incredibly self indulgent to use Simon's terms to allow the plea by Simon to make sure people voted or to allow Adam's name to be embroidered onto Katy Perry's cape. The hype around Adam has reached a fevered pitch "scream" that I would hope some are becoming tired of.

I'd like to suggest that when voting occurs next week that America considers sending a message to Simon and Fox that the deliberate bias needs to stop. There were two other contestants to consider who worked just as hard and deserve their respect as well. The cowtowing just to avoid being labeled as "phobic" is silly. As Randy has said over and over.... "This is a singing contest."

Kris! Kris! Kris! I was so hoping for this outcome! Kris has been wonderful all season. He is unpredictable and great at changing the arrangements of the songs he chooses and making them his own. Danny should have gone home weeks ago! I still think Adam is going to win this season but I can't wait to hear what Kris sings next!

I am really suprised that Kris made it through, I am a BIG Danny fan and am disappointed in the fact that his journey ended tonight when clearly it should of been DANNY and ADAM!!!!! so since Danny is not able to win the title, I will be voting for ADAM!!!!!

Adam has the rocker appeal and ther has never been and AI rocker to win the competition. Kris may win but it will be a carbon copy of the year Rueben and Clay were the finalist. Ruben won but Cay sold more music. Im just not sure America got it right .

I'm one to believe a more entertaining finale would have been Gokey and Adam. On first thought with Adam vs. Kris I pictured blowout for Adam.... now I'm not so sure. I'd have to think MANY Gokey fans are rowing their boat with Kris going into next week and not Adam. However, this top 3 has been amazing and I'm certain we'll see all of them again. I do want Adam to win though, he's such a delegate as can be seen by his sincerity and compassion, which I'm convinced is genuine. And there's no doubt the dude can sing. He might be better off not winning in fact like Daughtry... he's more suited to the big band as a frontman.

Kris is in the right place at the right time. Danny finally got boring to the majority of voters. He's a pretty good singer but has no star potential. He could be a good back up singer. Adam has been a locked in winner from day one, but america loves their underdogs, so he's not goint to win it. Somehow Allison got voted out so that leaves, even though i think should have won the whole thing. So that leaves us with Kris with a YOUTUBE acoustic perfomance of a Hip-Hop song. One lucky guy that was in the right place at the right time.....

Adam and Kris (and Allison) are the most original artists in this competition. Danny Gokey simply sings the arrangement and adds his vocal runs/screams, which are the same week after week after week. Gokey's low register is actually not good.

I guess I am going to skip the finale since Danny is out. Kris was good but Danny was great, so it's not worth waisting my time watching Adam beat Kris.

America knows the most consistent one of the bunch should be in the finals and you all know who that is....Adam, by far, will be an international star whereas Kris will have his ten to thirteen year old following....

Danny was "alright" but he never changed it up, never gave that extra mile that is expected of the contestants and the sympathy factor with was getting old. Technically, he should have been gone last week with that horrible rendition of "Dream On" ...

Agree that Idol is fixed... it is every year in order to get the ratings. I'd have rather seen ANYBODY other than him in the finals.

Call me biased, but Danny deserved a spot in the final two. His rendition of You are So Beautiful was amazing.

Remember folks this IS TV. The hype is TV, the rumours are TV, the hype is hype. What you read on a forum or on a board, is not what 80,000,000 people are thinking nor feeling. And why aren't the votes ever revealed, do we have any real proof of who got what votes, are they accountable to anyone? Is there an accounting firm holding all of the counted votes. This contest from day one, was never fair because it's all about how fast one person can vote and text and dial, if every person were allowed ONE vote, then every year's contest would have ended up a LOT different. I just wish there was some real and true way to find out who actually wins these contests and if the results were ever posted and we had some way of verifying their legitimacy. Bo and Carrie's contest was apparently the closest in Idol history and last year's was a slaughter. Adam will win. He may not win the crown but Adam already had an arsenal of people begging for him to be signed, offeres coming out the top of his head and wazoo and he's going to be filling stadiums. Chris does not have staying power. He's cute and he can sing, but he's NOT the next superstar. He'll make a record, he'll go on tour and the teeny bopper girls will scream for him and he'll be an overnight sensation and then go the way of the DO DO bird. Adam has made front page news across the world and his face is plastered on magazine across the Universe. Adam will win regardless of what the verdict is next week. Like him or hate him, he's a talent, the like we haven't seen in about...32 years!!!

The top 2 are just right...but it doesn't really matter much: they'll all 3 record, but Adam's the only one that has possible stay-power. Time will tell! Gonna be a great season finale' tho!

I totally agree with T345. Adam is the whole package. Kris is cute but most certainly not in the same league with Adam. He is like watching a young Elvis in the early 50's. Not only can Adam sing but he has personality plus and he's easy on the eyes as well.

ALL ABOUT ADAM. It's Adam's world, we just live in it. Kris always looks shocked because he knows he is not as talented as the other two. I think he has that boy band charm about him and seems like a nice guy and America does tend to prefer moderately talented over talented ones. Exhibit A – Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers. Disney never really promotes artistically strong artists and truth is most people don't want that in music anymore. I was tired of Gokey though but he still deserved to be there more than Kris. Anyway, all three will probably have good careers so good luck to all of them but Adam has my votes. Yes, I am 30 years old and I actually text in to vote for Adam...never did that before in any other AI season. LOL.

The phone lines were jammed in Milwaukee, hanging up for almost two hours, post Idol. I wonder how that affected his vote. Kris shouldn't have made it this far. Only Gokey and Lambert deserved to be at the top

Kris is sooooooo forgettable. He's boring and just another teenybopper singer. David Cassidy ring a bell? There is nothing about him to make him stand out from other singers that sound just like him. Based on last night's performances, the right person went home tonight. Honestly, I never thought i'd see Kris in the finals. It took me forever to even remember his name. He did very well with his two songs last night. However, I still feel that Adam will win, he's far more talented than Kris. Adam is fantastic! I enjoy his performances greatly.

I think there are a lot of split vote between Kris and Danny. And Adam got a lot of Allison's vote. So next week, Adam may be in trouble.

At the beginning of the season I thought it was going to be an Adam/Danny final. But the past month I changed to and Adam/Kris final. I still think Adam will win but will not be upset if Kris wins it all. Any of the top 4 would make a great American Idol winner.

Perfect results! I'm so glad Kris beat out Gokey! I still can't get over the fact that people think Adam can't sing. I may not be a Pavorati fan, but it would be plain ignorant for me to say he can't sing. (No, I'm not comparing Adam to Povarati, but you get the point). It's a shame that teenagers control this show. Danny is clearly better than Kris and yet he is not in the finals. I voted so many times last night for Danny and I'm 54. It's hard to fight send/end and all those teen cell phone. It was the first time I've voted in the years I've been watching. Oh well, I'll see all ten of them in Charlotte on August 1.

Whether a Gokey or Allen fan, the judges manipulation to ensure Adam Lambert's trip to the finals was a new low for the show. The scores allow Adam to continue (see DialIdol) - but not a landslide for sure. The judges, especially Simon, did the same disgusting plug for Archuleta– especially the negativity for David Cook at the finale. Yet, David Cook was OUR choice– back at you Kara, Paula and Simon.

Danny may be going home– but having never been a fanatic phone voter in past seasons– you can bet I and all those here who watch American Idol in my area will call continually for the all-time major upset to the JUDGES- may Kris Allen take down the judges wishes!

What amazes me most is that Hokey-Gokey was on so long. You can only ride the coattails of your dead spouse so long. I see Gokey already fading into oblivion. Next year, Jamal will get his chance and prove that he should have been on this year and Gokey stayed home and mourned.

For the first time in 8 seasons of watching AI, I truly won't mind seeing either of the top two contestants win. They are both deserving of the title and regardless of the decision, both will have successful music careers.

Yea Kris!! Based upon first and even second impressions, Adam seemed to be the most talented, but when you take the series as a whole Kris emerges as THE most talented of the contestants this season. His original and tasteful arrangements, cool voice, and instrumental talents make him the most interesting performer, while Danny was the same each week and even Adam began to become a little predictable and isn't as talented of an arranger (One started out well but his melodic changes toward the were not musical). Adam is an A+ bang-you-over-the-head entertainer, but Kris is the quiet guy with all the substance.

Kris is the most original of the three. He is the only one that I would want to listen to on a CD or the radio. Listen to how he made each song "his own" all season long. The teeny boppers are not the ones voting him in, the voters for Kris are music lovers who appreciate him as a musician, a vocalist, and as an artist making awesome music.

Kris Allen WILL be the next American Idol. Mark my words..........

I'm sorry, but what is unique about Danny? The fact that he was the only contestant to have a deceased spouse who he mentioned (or alluded to) nonstop in order to get pity votes? The fact that he has a bunch of ugly glasses? Sorry to be mean, but his singing, his charisma, his overall stage presence is nothing compared to Adam. Kris isn't much better, but at least he draws you in artistically as opposed to Danny. Good riddance to a karaoke singer who thinks making a song his own means to say, "C'mon" a whole bunch of times. Now that he is gone, I'm really fine with whoever wins. And shame on all of you who are bashing Adam b/c he is gay. As the judges say, "It's a SINGING competition" (which is why Mr. Smug-y Gokey is now gone).

I am so elated that Kris is in but so sad than Danny was sent home. Come on parents, do you really want your children idolizing someone like Adam? He needs to be invited to Danny's church to get some education on Christianity! Now lets hope that Danny's fans migrate to Kris. Danny Fans should be voting for Adam now. It was always Gokey vs. Kris. Unfortunately Gokey is gone ( love you DG), the votes should be against Kris.

Why do some of you folks insist that the only people voting for Kris are tweens and teens? You are way off the mark. Not only am I over 30, I vote for Kris and Adam (and Allison). It is possible to appreciate the differences in each one and enjoy a variety of musical styles. You should see my CD and downloads collections – incredibly eclectic. I wish that those of us who support Kris or Adam (or both as I do) would not resort to the nasty, trashtalking, personal attacks that some on this board resort too. It's obvious that there is genuine affection/friendship between Adam and Kris, and they are thrilled to be in the finals together. We can support our favorite (or both) without being low class.

My vote will go to Kris. Always liked him. Adam is talented but I see him playing hard rock, head banging music; which is not for me. GO Kris!!!!

I agree DogTracker, the show was blantantly obvious this year. They seemed to have total lack of regard to the other two contestants who were there all along as well. Didn’t they work just as hard and try just as much to win? Somehow Fox and the judges have forgotten about them. I wonder if Kris wins if they skip over him, and just interview Adam. Sad, how pathetic it became this year. Doubt I’ll follow it next year.

If Allison couldn't make it, these two are surely the most deserving. Best final 4 in the history of AI.

I am shocked and saddened. I loved Danny and wanted him to be in the finals. I like both Kris and Adam but now I don't really care about the finals. Danny is amazing and will go on to have a wonderful singing career. He has really been through a lot this year and deserves to be happy. He is a nice, kind person and that is what will carry him through his life.

Kris is very talented...He plays piano and gitar and sings and is so cute, BUT Adam is soooooooooo handsome when he enters the stage that he takes your breath with his looks and tallness...He has such star attraction...........Adam, Please sing one of your songs this time that shows off your real, great voice, no screaming too loud.....One like Danny did, " You Are So Beautiful" sing a soft romantic ballad with lots of control....Try and get some of Dannys voters or else Kris will get them...........GO ADAM TO THE Finish Line , and get Married up with Kelly Clarkson......The two best American Idols ever...............

I have been a Danny supporter since day 1 and tonight was a heartbreaker to see him go home after coming so far. And now...as a Danny supporter next week I will vote for KRIS, over and over until I can't vote anymore. To see those judges coddle and praise Adam over and over again, to see the special effects, smoke machines, special lighting and the fact that he sang LAST on the past 3 song and then to see Katy Perry walk out the "Adam Lambert" on her cape tonight...that was the last straw.

Danny lovers and supporters.....join me and others in giving our support to Kris next week to prove to the American Idol producers and judges that they can NOT make the contestant win that they pick to take it all. I'm disgusted with this season and can't believe that a talent as wonderful as Danny has been sent home. I never have posted on this subject before. I think all three are deserving and all three are going to have great careers. What I do think is TERRIBLY irreesponsible and sets a bad artistic and bad television precedent is when FOX knowingly or unknowingly allowed on of their performers (in this case Katy Perry) wear a costume that effectively lobbied for one of the three remaining contestants. That is just wrong.
She is supposed to be a contract professional performer and not there to express an opinion one way or another about the contestants. FOX should apologize and make a statement about their error.

The judges are pushing their agenda. Did you hear Simon begging America to vote for Adam. That was really in bad taste for the wrong reasons.

Absolutely shocked me that Kris is in the finales with Adam. I agree this seasons AI has been one of the best. Many great talents. I truly hope people will vote with common sense next week and vote for Adam. He truly has proven week after week that he is an artist. He has taken this competition very seriously each and every week and should be chosen for his talent and artistry. He has earned it.

It has been along time since we have seen a true gift, lets do the right thing and make sure Adam wins.

I have always suspected that American Idol is rigged, but tonight confirms it without a doubt in my mind. There is no competition against Danny and, of course, we will never know the truth, but Adam is being set up to win because he will sell more records to those who still buy music, such as the teen crowd, or whatever could possibly find his repetitious, pimply style popular. I have always watched American Idol, but after tonight, Danny, a lot of America will not devote their valuable time watching such a piece of set up gumbo, and I am being nice.... I love Adam Lambert. I have been a fan since day one! I am not one bit worried about Adam having to face Kris. I feel very confident that he will be beat him with no problem. I am surprised to see Kris go through. I hope I am not underestimating America when I say I think Adam WILL WI!N

Dannys fans let him down. Chris's fans knew they were going to have to work hard for two hours last night on the phones to get him in the finals. Even Simon reminded Adams fans that he needed their votes. Dannys fans cost him the finals....

Kris should win it. Kris won tonight partially due to Allison's fans who knew Danny should have gone home last week after her brilliant performance of Cry Baby and duet with Adam, while Danny butchered Aerosmith. With Danny gone, his fans are much more likely to vote for Kris than Adam. It still may depend on performances, and if either has a bad night, the other may win. My money is still on Kris. I see him as the more commercially viable. Adam is a brilliant singer at times, but he often comes across as playing the role of a rocker, rather than being a rocker, and tries too hard, often grating on the with his over the top screaming. Sometimes with his tongue out, I think he is chanelling Gene Simmons of Kiss. He is much better suited to the theater. Kris on the other hand, always comes off as himself, not playing any roles and is very likeable as well.

Yes, this is the right choice. Kris is much more talented than Danny. Let the 2 best of the 3 of them battle it out. I would not be surprised if Kris wins the whole thing.

I think Chris is a better singer than Gokey,but Simon Down played Chris by saying that he did not think Chris will go ahead but changed his mind yesterday.Lets see what happens today.

Oh, I'm so happy Kris is in the finals. I really like him. He's my favorite because I would actually listen to his songs. He's got a cool style and a great voice. And Kris is one creative dude. "Heartless"? Never saw that coming, and it was fantastic!

Plus, let's face it, he is really dreamy. There, I said it. But that's not why I'm voting for him. I just enjoy listening to him every week. I think he is very good.

Unreal! There must be a lot of Clay Aiken Idol viewers watching again this year. This Adam guy/girl/gay/whatever will probably do well in a musical, but he will never be a "mainstream" singer/entertainer. Let me say it one more time "Clay Aiken". Clay Aiken hasen't done really anything, and nobody wants to pick up a gay snger with marginal talent. Stage singer/dancer, sure but no Idol. i have not seen the show yet, west coast has not aired. however, based on what was said here, it seems that adam came in second and danny was very clse behind. based on the fact that simon basically begged people to vote for adam, and he still barely made it, clearly he is the underdog, because khris and adam sound so different, it would be shocking, if the lionshare of danny votes do not go to Kris.

Danny is one of the best third-place finishers in AI history... only behind Melinda Doolittle and perhaps Elliot Yamin. And my gut says Adam will be the next American Idol next week.

Perhaps the reason that Kris has looked "surprised" at being "safe" these last few weeks is that he's been regularly crapped on by the judges even when he gives a terrific performance, while others (Danny and Adam) have had their butts kissed and egos stroked week after week. Did you see his face last night when Paula called him out on a "bum note that was really loud?" I'm sure Kris was thinking this chick is calling me for one bum note (which by the way I lreplayed and didn't hear) yet she let Gokey's "scream on" debacle go without mention? His "Heartless" performance was a big "FU" to the judges last night. Hopefully his visit to Arkansas and the fact that he made the Top 2 will boost Kris's confidence in the finale. I'm so happy that he and Adam will compete for the top spot. This is the first time in eight seasons that I would be happy if either one wins.

The truth - Because Kris hit that note ..miserably. You would not have purchased that version and that's the TRUTH. and on that note: Kris is badddddd.

I am so disappointed in America. Kris has no chance of ever making a dime in the music industry. He cannot sing. He has no stage presence. He is just a pretty baby face that the teeny-bopper Hannah Montana crowd must have voted for the most.

Danny is one quality singer with an incredible voice, a great personality and a ton of fun to watch sing. He is leagues above the lame Kris. Danny will be a big success. No one will remember who Kris is within 3 months. He will be another Idol flop who no one will pay to listen to or to go see.

Adam is the Idol and he does deserve it. He is the best singer and performer they have had on Idol ever. He will be a superstar.

Next week's show will be a huge BORE. Adam will blow it out and Kris will limp through with marginal singing as usual.

I may not even watch – Adam is going to win- and Kris is going to bore us to death. Fox will have the lowest ratings for viewers next week than for the whole season.

Simon said it all. Kris doesn't belong there and next week's show will be pointless and a waste of time. Kris will embarrass himself with his inability to do anything memorable. Adam will be brilliant as always.

I must say I was shocked by the results – I really wanted it to be Danny and Kris but knew that that was never to be – Am I the only one sick of hearing the praises of Adam – all he seems to do is scream and shriek his songs, trying to out do himself everytime he sings. I was hoping for it to be Danny and Adam – not to take anything away from Kris but all of America knew Adam was going to the finals – he can sing but the dream final would have been Danny and Kris. Here is hoping America can pull an upset and Kris from Arkansas wins the whole thing and becomes the next American Idol.

everybody says adam is TOO theatrical...what does that mean? it means he puts on a show...isn't that hte making of a good entertainer...i mean what about mick jagger– a good showman. elton john, a good showman. so since when is it wrong to be a good showman.

A little history lesson to the younger and a reminder to the older. It was a young, wild eyed, hip swaying singer who enraged many by his stage antics, and unconventional way of performing. His wild look, and non traditional delivery caused people to protest his concerts and burn his records... time passed and many of those same people cried when they heard the news of his passing. Time keeps moving on, and how we percieve someone now is sure to change. You may not like him now, but the truth is in time, you will be telling your grandchildren about remembering the first time you saw Adam.

This is a singing competion, not a mouseketeer contest. Kris should have been gone 6 weeks ago. He can't carry all the notes and the ones he can, only half as long as Danny could. Adam is talented, but his screaming has become part of every thing he does. Tired of it. I'm through with American Idol.

Chris and Danny are my favorites and, in my opinion, the more marketable of the three. With Danny gone, it should be a very interesting night with Chris and Adam, next week.. Remember that there were only 1 million votes separating the two, so that indicates that anything can happen. They are so vastly different, so it should be an exciting finale.

I am very diaapointed in the results, I like them all but no way should Danny should have left, I would have perferred Adam to go.

B has it right. The teen girls will hit redial for 2 hours for Kris. I have things to do. Been a great season, but no use watching the finale now. Watch out Adam, Chris is going to steal Danny's votes! Adam isn't for real he acts on and off stage. Does anyone else see this? The winner of AI should win based on talent. Not because someone is sad that their favorite received less votes and went home and their votes go to someone less talented.

I agree with others that our vote should only count for one. There has to be people out there rigging thousands of entries just to throw things off, most likely people who truly do not care, they just want to mess up a career.

I think if anyone reviews the last 8 weeks of shows this season you'll see lots of support and pushing Danny on to voters by the judges. Heck, last week they were giving the guy A++ for effort for a song he brutalized. He's never been unique, creative, listened to the mentors, humble, or even current in his song choices. And he comes off as smug and arrogant and can't even accept criticism when it's justified! Personally, I'm glad he's off, he should have been booted a few weeks ago. Now we've got some real talent to watch. Congrats to Adam and Kris.

I am ecstatic about Adam making the finals. Contrary to popular belief, I didn't think it was a forgone conclusion. There was backlash over the EW cover and Simon's comments. His fans came through for him and we'll be there next week voting every minute. I'm even changing my cell phone plan to unlimited texting tomorrow so that I can call on the house phone and text on the cell. Heck, I may even get my daughter a phone so I can use hers also.

I don't think I can put into words the feeling that Adam gives me when he sings. There is something special about this young man and I'm supporting him with everything I've got.

Adam is truly talented and should be the American Idol. He has been on a different level than the others throughout the entire season. I was sorry to see Danny Gokey voted off. He had my heart! He could have been the boy next door. I loved his humble attitude and his great singing voice. It was a really tough choice because all three of the last contestants were very talented and very different. I guess because I am a retired teacher, I wanted Danny to win and be an example to his students that dreams DO come true. I think he will be a good example anyway, so it's really okay. Many of the finalists in the past American Idol shows have made it in the entertainment field, so maybe Danny will too. It was a good run and whoever wins, it was a great bunch of talent this year.

And please, stop likening Adam to Elvis. That is downright preposterous. Not to mention ridiculous and silly.

I loved watching American Idol until Alison was eliminated. It's then that I knew that this years Idol voting was dominated by "teenie-boppers" who just lovvvve the way Chris looks...has nothing to do with talent. That's why I refuse to watch it anymore...bottom line....I would pay a good nickel to go see Adam or Alison perform, but you couldn't even give me free tickets to go see Chris Or Danny....10-4 out for good from American Idol....

One contributing factor to Danny's departure might be people's dislike of him doing a Lenscrafters commercial at the end of each song. I, for one, found it quite offensive. However, I don't believe Kris is a better singer.

I believe that American Idol needs a serious improvemnet in the communction area between the staff and hosts. This Adam character clearly says "That rocks" when the streaker ran out across the stage. Is this the type of influnce when need to be sending to America? FOX is a very well respected network but if this guy Adam makes it all the way, we are in need of some serious counseling. Many young children watch this show and seeing and hearing what occured has really offended me. Simmon himself said, "next week will be a ding dong." That can only mean they, the judges, knew they made a mistake voting off Danny because of what Adam said. Danny you did great! And for Kris, as small as our state is and as big as your fan base is over what Adam's appeared, all of us from Arkansas are here supporting you.

I called Kris for the finale 2 after hearing his name was second most searched, next to Adam on google. I think they released that about 3 or 4 weeks ago. He's adorable, especially for teen girls. He did out-sing both Adam & Danny last night with his Heartless song. I honestly do not know who will win next week, and I think I've called it every year since Clay and Ruben.

As a mother, I would be proud to have a son like Adam. He's talented, works hard, obviously has compassion and empathy – look how much he's assisted his colleagues, and always has given credit where it's due. Unlike Karaoke Gokey who couldn't accept advice from his mentors, had to see he'd review the tape again after he sang the worst notes sung/screamed in the the history of AI's top 10 singers, and is smug and arrogant.

now that it is kris and adam, i am not as excited to watch. some may say kris is original, but he is quite boring. he and adam are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as entertainment. at least with danny, it was a closer match.

I believe Danny had the best voice, Adam is the theatrical entertainer, and Kris (when he's at his best) can interpret music in a light, fresh way. (Adam interprets too but it's usually heavy-handed, as opposed to a lighter touch by Kris.) Because music is art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It should be an interesting final. For me, disappointing as I was a BIG Danny fan. I'll follow his path and buy his music. It's the rich, timbre of his voice that was spectacular for me.

Kris and Adam deserve this. They are the two best at making this original. Danny always sounded like a lounge singer to me. ALL MY VOTES ARE GONNA BE WITH KRIS!! I'm tired of the screaming instead of singing. and i definitely wouldn't buy any of Adams albums. KRIS IS MY WINNER!!

So the screamer and the weenie are in the finals whoopie. What a mess, only Gokey had a chance to beat Screamin Mimi, the one note wonder. i admit he has some talent but who wants to listen to screaming. I want singing. and he was so damn cocky through the whole thing and he is already a semi professional who shouldn't even me in the action. Sad Gokey fan, I like people who sing from the heart. Kris is like the beat boxer guy Mr Mellow he wont win.

The season is over for me. I don't begrudge the other two - they're talented - but I can't vote analyze who to vote for now. The heart's not there. The same thing happened last year when Michael was voted off. I'll pick another fave next year and pull for him or her.

Look at last year. David the screamer and David the soft spoken singer. All American Idol! YET! The screaming David wins! I just don't get it. The same thing is happening again this year. Adam shouls have been the one to go home tonight! He was a performer before Idol. All he does is SCREAM. Oh he has a great voice! BUT! Danny and Kria should be the ones in the finale. This is incredibly ridiculous. Adam screams instead of singing, Kris is a nice guy with an adequate voice, and Danny, who has the best voice by a long shot, is gone.... amazing!

Think maybe the judges had some to do with this? How about the fact that Adam performed last 90% of the time and that Paula, who from the beginning made it known that Adam was her pick, chose the song she did for Danny. She is smart enough to know that that was not the right choice for him.

And Simon should be ashamed of himself – how could you be more unprofessional than to announce on Oprah that Adam was going to win and then to tell America to vote for Adam!! Unbelievable!

Very disappointed. Have been a Danny fan since the beginning and think he was the only real competition Adam had. Liked Chris but he was never the consistent performer that Adam and Danny were this season. Think it will be an easy win for Adam and that thought takes the excitement out of the final for me. Maybe I will be proven wrong.

Some of you act as if an injustice was done. Let's keep it in perspective, the final four were all exceptional singers and someone had to go. In my book, this is the right result. It's not because Kris has a better voice than Danny, it's because Kris has a level of originality that Danny lacks. Although Adam was the strongest at this all season long, Kris had several songs this year in which he really stepped up with an original arrangement and performance. He has the ability to take a song you know, make it his own, and make you like it better than the original. Adam did it every week, Kris did it several times and Danny never did it at all. So I think the right two are through to the finals. In the end, Adam is far and away the best performer this year and he deserves to win. That said, I'm more likely to buy songs from Kris after the competition because I like his style of music more than Adam's.

Kris over Danny? Really? Why?!

The sad thing is that I am on a forum on facebook and only ONE person knew what Kris' last name was and that was within a conversation of 92 people. WE all knew Danny and Adam's last names but all we knew was his name is Kris. I'm writing this right now and I still don't know his last name, he had made ZERO impact.

It's a complete bewildering puzzle why Kris is there and not Danny. Maybe Danny got signed, maybe he's been picked up, maybe he's bene offered a deal.

Adam will win and wil be one of the biggest freaking superstars in musical history. Whether he's rocking out Stadiums or filling Carnegie Hall of the Palace, he will continue making oodles of money and go on to acting in movies and win awards and be the talk of the industry. The industry giants LOVE this guy. He musicians LOVE this guy. The singers LOVE this guy. The public just has to get past the whole "he's weird" thing.

Don't count out Kris. Simon knows it too! His ding dong comment proved that. Kris is a natural and doesn't need to dress up like Holloween to show he is unique. His talent is all he needs.

I think it has been obvious for weeks that the best two are Adam and Kris. Adam has been a favorite of mine since the beginning and Kris has snuck up on me during the last few weeks. It should be good next week.

I have been pulling for Kris all the way. He is by far the most talented all-around original singer-performer. I disagree that Kris is appealing to the "teeny boppers" as some have said. He has a more mature, mellow, groovy style that I think appeals to adults more. If anyone is attracting the younger crowd it's Adam. Speaking of Adam, it finally came to me who he sounds like when he sings his strong falsetto...Axel Rose. (shrug) I always felt like Axel Rose was the worst part of Guns and Roses and now when I hear Adam sing all I can hear is Axel Rose. I will say that Adam has great ability...but he's a novelty...gimmicky. Kris is a more rounded artist. Not the best "entertainer" but artist. This is a singing competition not a drama contest. Kris should win, but alas, Adam has the momentum and is a clear favorite of the judges. My only hope is that all the people who voted for Danny (a more traditional singer) will vote for Kris. They did say only 1 million votes out of 88 million separated Adam and Kris.

One thing I will say about this years top 3 (or 5 for that matter), they are all like-able from a personality standpoint. There have been some contestants that really seemed cocky and arrogant at times. All three of these men seem genuinely nice.

This year it's extremely apparent that the producers are forcing the judges to make glowing comments about Adam Lambert's performances in an effort to move votes in his direction. I was not impressed by either of his performances last night.

I've been watching this show since the beginning and by now, like many other faithful viewers, I know pretty well how Simon thinks. How many times has Simon accused other singers in the past of screaming songs? Countless times! Too many to mention and yet curiously, not once has he accused Adam of of screaming while singing! When I listen to Adam sing, he actually sounds pretty good until he starts screaming! His high notes sound screechy, painful and just plain bad. And unfortunately for us, Adam loves to hear himself scream! One thing is clear, one of the major players over at Idol is very much in love with Adam! Also, I have to say I can't stand Cara D. I really hope that they don't ask her back next year. Her comments are stupid, very long winded and she's so full of herself! Even though Paula has had some issues, I find her to be very genuine and warm. I cannot say the same about cold and clueless Cara D!

It turned out just like I hoped it would. I can't wait until next week's show!

I think it's funny that everyone feels like it is the teens that are voting in Kris. My wife and I are in our 50's and really like his style. I really felt that Allison should be in the finals, but with Kris I have more of a connection to his sound. Adam is nothing but fingernails on a chalkboard.

I agree with most of the comments related to talents if we will base it on that no second thought it would be Adam from medley to rock he can performed. it is one word ADAMAZING!

I was sooooo glad to see Kris make it to the finals! I voted at least 100 times Tuesday night. I resent the fact that someone made the comment about the teeny boppers and their cell phones. I'm a 48 year old female and have never, ever missed a single episode of Idol. I predicted Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood would win and have had a heated debate with my 71 year old mother over Adam Lambert. I have said from day one that he wouldn't win this season. He screams and screeches in almost all of his songs. I have, for the first time, had to turn my TV down when he sings. I feel bad for Danny. I really thought the bottom two would come down to Kris and Danny. America, I hope will prevail, and I'm really sorry Mom, but I hope its' all about KRIS next week!!!

Kris and Adam!!! I love them both. Adam is the most talented singer, but Kris was my jazz singer. In all fairness, Adam should be the one to win, but if Kris wins that will be okay.

I was disgusted with Katie Perry–she ain't that good a singer, she thinks she's a majorette in some porn movie–and she was just plain cheesy with favoring Adam with wearing a cape with his name. They must have had some kind of contractual obligation to bring such a loser on.

America got it right! Yes, Danny has a better voice than Kris, but he didn't use his voice better. Both Adam and Kris will have great careers no matter what the results next week. Adam will have a bigger career, he's more interesting, but Kris has a lot of appeal. Danny will not end up like Daughtry or other runners up with a decent career. He's forgettable.

For goodness sake, some of you need to get over yourselves, the whole world wasn't conspiring against Danny to keep him from winning. No was yelling the show was rigged or crooked when the judges and the show pimped for Danny. I might have been wrong, but the judges wanted Danny and Adam. Why would they conspire to prevent Danny from being in the finals? They wouldn't, and they looked shocked at tonight's results. Yes, I will be truthful and say some of Adam's fans also voted for Danny, simply because we like Kris a whole lot more than Danny.

What amazes me is we are 1 week from the final, and people still don't realize his name is "Kris", not "Chris"... Other than that, I do strongly believe that looks have carried Kris this far. That's not to say he doesn't have talent, but when it was really close towards the top 4, what do you think the tie breaker really was? Probably the tweens blasting away the text votes and phone votes for Kris. Like I've said, Adam, Danny, Kris, or Allison could have won if they weren't all in the same season. Seperate them and put them in another season and all 4 could have won. (Exception being Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson's seasons) Another thing, because "Gokey" rhymes with "karaoke", does that mean people have to insult Danny and attach the two? He was anything but karaoke all season long, so anybody insulting him like that obviously has no clue...

I am so damn surprised reading this thread today. Yesterday, it was all praises of Kris and now that he got into the Finals, it is like hearing America regrets the result.
That is what happened to humble people like Kris, they get blessed with more. Anyway, even if he does not win next week, America has already spoken this week.

Are you all deaf and blind?? Adam is the most talented person on this show and probably ever. The kid obviously has natural talent and basically grew up in a performing arts center. get over yourselves, gokey isn't even close to be as talented as him. also, do you all not see Kris play the piano and guitar. he is not getting by on his "awe shucks" persona or good looks. kid actually had crooked, meth mouth early on and I guarantee AI worked with him on it as it has minimized as of late, but the point is, he is more talented than the gospel singer gokey. it should have finished Adam, Allison, Kris, then someone else in top 10.

Sad, very sad...I think America got it wrong. The finals should be Chris and Danny. Adam does not have the right voice to sell records/CDs to the majority of America and his singing makes me uncomfortable...too much screaming. I will NEVER buy a CD with Adam on it nor will i play anything from him in my house.

If you go to any college town where the schools have strong music programs, you can find a million Krises playing acoustic guitar with decent voices and Dannys with the husky tones, but Adams??? His voice is simply amazing, he can´t be touched and deserves the win.

It's about time that Danny left the stage. i was getting sick and tired of the judges saying how wonderful Danny was all the time when he wouldn't change anything up or take chances. Unlike Adam and Kris who were totally "Artistic" as the judges put it so many times. I can honestly say that there was only one song Danny ever sang that I could listen too again. Unlike Adam and Kris where I found myself rewinding and listening to again and again and again. I wish Danny friends would have made the show instead of Danny. I've liked Adam, Kris, and Allison from the the beginning. I have to say I hope Kris wins just because: a) he has a lot of musical talent with the singing, instrumentals, arranging etc. that he does HIMSELF b) he has never claimed to be or tried to be anything but himself c) and what a truly nice person he seems to be – confidence and assurance don't have to be on constant display in your face (that would make it arrogance.) Oh yeah, and PS I'm from Arkansas so what a great thing to see!

Sadly, I think Paula Abdul's poor, unknown song choice affected the vote. What was she thinking? I, for one, will not be watching the finale. Kris is cute, but way out of his league. Disappointing.

Danny will be successful regardless of the loss. He has handled himself w/dignity and strength through a very difficult personal tragedy. I will be the first in liine to buy his debut album!

Gay or not gay. Adam has true talent as a great singer and performer and he will be a star. In addition, he is a very good person. How do I know? Just looking at Allison and Anoop's reactions to cheer for Adam. It speaks volumn when the admiration comes from his fellow competitors.
I am a Christian and I believe that a marriage belongs to a man and a woman. However, I would not judge a person and his or her talents by his or her race, gender, age, physical appearance or sexual preference.
I am also glad that a good old southern boy like Kris had made it to the final. His second song "heartless" was the best last night and he deserves to be in the final.
As to Danny, he will have a good career as a Christian gospel singer.

Kris, if he can write lyrics, COULD have a career as a singer/songwriter, but unless he can write great lyrics his best chance is to don a cowboy hat and go country. Otherwise, he's got a short career coming.
Gokey was hokey, an above-average wedding singer, but just above average.
To those saying the judges fixed this for Adam, personally I thought they always praised both Kris and Gokey more than they ever deserved to be praised. Matt was better than either, and Allison was better than Matt, and both may have gone farther if Kris and Gokey were judged as they should have been.
Adam shows more creativity and talent than anyone ever on Idol. Maybe it won't last, but maybe it will. For the self-righteous who want to fight culture wars: THIS IS A SINGING (PERFORMANCE) COMPETITION! Get over it.
Oh, and to whoever pointed out that Adam's crowd was small: He comes from San Diego. If he came from New York the crowd would have been even smaller, and that would mean... absolutely nothing.

Danny deserved to be in the finals. It'll be a real upset if Adam doesn't win Idol. I have a feeling that Kris is going to win coz of all the teen votes.

So far, Idol only produced 3 real winners who survived the music industry in a big way (Kelly, Carrie and Jordin). The rest aren't even known outside the U.S. So this tells you that the public really doesn't know how to choose the best.

Last night I said I would prefer to see an Adam/Kris final so I'm glad America was with me on this. I'm a huge Adam fan but at this point it doesnt' matter if he wins.

Kris is boring and totally forgettable. One of the worst finalists ever. Adam will be the most successful Idol by far no matter what happens next week.

Adam can do vocal gymnastics; Kris has demonstrated a subtle understanding of musical artistry. While Danny has a beautiful tone to his voice, his range is significantly inferior to Adam's range and his artistry is significantly inferior to Kris's artistry. In short, America got it right.

I now think this "contest" is rigged...I think Chris is great and he is my favorite but I think Danny would have beaten Adam since he appeals to more people across the U.S. The producers are totally controlling the show by putting Chris next to Adam so Adam wins! I want a singer not a screamer...whatever...

I think Kris appeals to more than just the teenies!! I am 29, and I voted on AI for the first time last night...and I voted for Kris (I've been watching AI for the past few season, I like it...but not obsessed with it).

My co-workers & bosses who are all older than me (there are 8 of us - ages range from 33 to 56) all like Kris the best out of the top 3 contestants (with exception to one co-worker who likes Adam better). I didn't pay much attention to Kris in the beginning, but Kris has a way of creeping up on ya.

Ok, I'm going to try to make this short. I think that Adam and Kris have amazing vocals. Danny should have gone sooner...but oh well. I am voting for Kris because I like his style better (I am NOT bashing Adam at all!!! His high notes are crazy awesome!). But I believe that Kris should win because he has more variety and originality. To me, it seemed like we never got to see Adam's true vocal range. He just sang his high notes. It would be nice to see more of a variety as far as the range. Kris did AWESOME with heartless!!! I do have to say...I am soooo freakin tired of all this Adam stuff. What was up with Katy Perry wearing a cape with Adam's name on it?!? That was waaay too much and made me furious!!! Fox should NOT have allowed her to wear that! It's too biased! If anyone thinks Adam is going to be a rock star, they have a hole in their head! He is a poser. The people of American Idol want to push out a rock star this year and he is all they got. In all the years I have watched the show I have never seen the judges pump a contestant like they have this year. It's a singing contest not a screaming contest! After people listen to a whole cd of Adam Lambert scream American Idol written songs, people will want find the tallest building and throw themselves off of it! Looks like another Idol bust!

Karaoke Gokey is through. I was worried the reincarnation of Taylor Hicks would make resurface but America for once got it right. It proves that being humble says something about a artist and Kris deserves the win over Gokey. Adam is still the better vocalist and risk taker I mean the dude did Walk the Line like no other.

I am not at all surprised that Kris is in the finale rather than Danny, and frankly, I'm thrilled to pieces. I haven't been a big fan of Kris' or Adam's throughout the season...I consistently rooted for Allison...but having said that, Adam is clearly the best performer and Kris is clearly the most marketable...so them in the finale makes sense. Having said that, I STILL don't understand America's fascination with Adam. He can obviously sing...anyone with ears can recognize his talent. But popular music and Adam are like oil and water...unless I missed the time machine journey back to 1982. Until he learns how to turn down the theatrics and screeching...to sing in a lower register...to not do those ridiculous runs and vocal acrobatic tricks the audience eats up...he will NEVER have a hit song or album...aside from the cheesy single he releases if he wins. And for all the Adam groupies...I am NOT taking anything away from his obvious vocal ability...and clearly that's what we tune in to see every week. BUT American Idol's ultimate goal is to give someone a chance at success in the music biz...and although I think Adam will find success through the show, it won't be on the radio. Bottom line...I hope Kris wins, if for no other reason than the fact that his win will translate to a massively successful music career...which is the WHOLE POINT of American Idol. Anything else takes away from the show's credibility (i.e. Taylor Hicks), and will be the reason why American Idol is off the air within the next couple of years.

To say the judges were "shocked" is disingenuous at best. So many people who have even the slightest observation skills named the two finalists (at least the judges picks) weeks ago.

All season the judges lavished praise on Adam with a rare (irrelevant) criticism thrown in to suggest possible objectivity (that outfit...wow, that was brave...unusual).

Having watched over the last four seasons, I am done with "American Idol."

I hope only the best for the contestants, but wish much less for the producers, FOX, and the self-indulgent faces (judges and host).

Since we already know who won, there is no need to watch FOX's cash-cow get fatter.

This is a singing contest and about star power. On that basis alone, Adam trumps Kris by a long shot. I just pray, pray, pray that people are voting for Adam's opponent because they sincerely think that person is best and NOT as a vote against Adam because they think he's gay. That's been my fear this whole season - that homophobia would cause the bible-belt to crank it up to try to oust Adam and that would be very wrong and unAmerican.

Let the best SINGER win regardless of sexual orientation. God would play fair and not judge. Let's be the same way. If Obama can win despite being "different", so can Adam!

I don't like the way that IMO they have marketed Adam to be the winner all along..and personally I feel like they have been TOO obvious when it comes to their fondness for him.
And Katy Perry coming out with the Adam cape? Come on! I like Adam fine but have been pretty well OVER him for almost as long as he's been all the talk of the show! He's good, but PLEASE!!

Oh well..who knows? If Kris can surprise half the country by beating out Danny this week, maybe he could do the same thing next week with Adam!
Doubtful sure..but obviously a possibility! After all I remember them saying Kris could be the "dark horse" of the competition....

Danny has a great voice but he is boring. There is no originally and very karaoke. Adam is the man...he has the "IT" factor. I like Kris too because he has his own style. The ultimate finale. But Adam deserves to win because he is unique, is the best and most talented.

I have yet to hear the judges utter one criticism of Adam. Not one! I, too, was wowed by his natural talent as an entertainer – there's no denying he knows how to perform (HELLLLO...musical theater trained!). But I quickly tired of his singing. He's got great pipes, but I'm already hearing his CD in my head...and all the songs hit the same high note!

Kris doesn't have the same vocal range or power that Adam does, but he's talented and more interesting in an understated (i.e. not over the top, black nail polish, "glam-rock"-to-draw-attention-to-himself) kind of way. I agree with a lot of people on here who are tired of seeing Adam preordained to win by everyone from Simon, to Entertainment Weekly to Katy Perry! I thought WE were supposed to decide! It's moments like these when I kick myself for getting so caught up in what I thought was the 'real thing"...only to be reminded that it's all about the money folks and my vote(s) nor yours will make one bit of difference in the end.

I said it last night Kris is the dark horse. THANK GOD Danny is GONE!!!!! I think that Kris will step it up. I love how all the ticked off Danny fans are making up there mind ahead of time to vote for Kris cause they hate Adam. I am just happy Danny is gone. Lets see what happens next week and by the way "lori" how can you possibly put hoaky Gokey in the same sentence with Chris Daughtry. Danny is OVER he is a one hit wonder and a couple of years from now he will get a mention on a "where are they now" show.

I am looking forward to Adam and Kris.......Adam fans vote and vote hard cause all the disgrunteled Danny fans will be voting for Kris regardless of the show next week.

Adam Lambert may be the biggest American Idol contestant ever. He has everything they ever wanted: great voice, great looks, original, and makes every song his own.

I love Simon cause he can speak from the heart and he can just say it right front but the only thing I hate about him it's that when he goes on the TV and say that Adam it's gonna win at all.....that's mess up, cause what ever Simon say people listen and take it...... yea of course Adam has a grate voice and I;m sure people knows that and I just wish Simon never open up his mouth in every TV talk show he goes to........... come on it's a final 3 if he know Adam is gonna take it all then keep it to himself it's not fare with the others............it's all wrong............

Okay, well, I think we all know that Kris has quite a legion of young female fans and Adam is clearly the front-runner. Really, Kris should have been out of this competition much earlier, but he is a very marketable singer. Danny and Adam would have been a much more interesting and competitive contest, but instead, we'll have to watch Adam decimate Kris. However, I truly believe Danny has quite a career ahead of him.

Kris and Adam are both FORGETTABLE! Their careers will both be short lived. One is a guitar playing folk singer and the other is a screaming whatever! There are no words to describe him.

The results were somewhat of a shock – but not surprising. Kris has always been labeled as the "Dark Horse" of the competition, but I felt that Danny was a much stronger performer than Kris. But now since it is Kris vs. Adam in the finale – Adam has had the stronger stage performance all season and I strongly believe he will go all the way.

Besides, we know how Katy Perry will vote – so more than likely her fans will vote for Adam as well.

Adam Lambert is a HUGE amazing incredible talent!!!! We are watching history in the making. He is a million times more talented than any other singer on the show this year, and probably the most talented singer the show has ever had. He can sing anything – classical, jazz, rock, pop, ballads, musicals, etc etc etc. His is a multi-faceted genuinely gifted musician. He doesn't have to sing the high high high notes when he sings rock. But, he can and he can hold them for 10 minutes if he wants to. Nobody else even comes close to him. He's just a ton of fun to listen to.
His voice is phenomenally rich when he needs it to be for the song choice. His phrasing and control is breathtaking. He has incredible musicianship, nuanced interpretation, zillions of different tone qualities, impeccable rhythm, an infinite variety of showmanship presentations. He is a natural performer, and will bring down the house wherever he performs. I, for one, will come to his concerts and buy his CD's – and I've never even considered listening to a recording by the other Idol winners.
So, Adam, I hope you win what you deserve. My family sends their best wishes. We already know you will be successful. Maintain your professional dignity, keep growing as an artist, write some of your own tunes, and HAVE A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!

Kris, Adam, and Allison have been my favorites for a while. Now that it's down to Kris and Adam, I don't think I can choose. I'll be ecstatic with whoever wins. Good luck to both of them!

Kris doesn't need all the sequins and hair mousse to prove he is a real artist. I get tired of the screeching and it is nice to see a real songwriter/musician have a real chance for a change.

I'm brokenhearted over Danny leaving. I love him. Adam is over the top, tongue action, and Kris is a cute guy with a limited range.

My rant against Adam Lambert:

Admittedly, I am annoyed that more and more people who are already established in show business are competing on American Idol. Adam auditioned for the show because he spent years trying to make it in musical theater and didn't get roles that were big enough for his ego. I much prefer contestants who don't have such opportunities, because they live in a smaller city, or have a family, etc. It makes for a much better story...and those of you who say this is purely a singing competition and has nothing to do with the contestants' life stories, how they style themselves, etc., are somewhat deluded.

That being said, I hate Adam's style. How a 27-year-old man decides to style himself like a 14-year-old boy (with caked-on make-up, to make himself look younger, I suppose) is beyond me. And he comes across as incredibly smug and self-centered.

He can sing high notes and has a good range, but his voice has no substance to it. So while I'm impressed that he can hit the notes he does, his singing leaves me completely apathetic. He doesn't emote. His voice sounds processed.

All of this probably means he'll be a success as a pop singer. But I'll never care about the meaning of a single word he sings.

I became an absolute Kris fan the first time we were introduced to him... with his performance of "Man in the Mirror" during the three weeks of the top 36. I remember looking at my husband and saying, "Wow! Who is this guy?" Unlike many of the other contestants, Kris was never profiled during the Hollywood week shows. In fact, from the very beginning, the judges have not given him the credit that he deserves. I think I am correct in saying that he was in a "sing-off" just to make the final cut in Hollywood.
For the record, I am a 47 year old who loves music, who listens intently to every performance, and who can critique fairly harshly when it is merited.
Actually, Kris CAN sing, he has such great artistry, and his ability as a musician is amazing - and very much overlooked. The fact that his performances are different than Adam's or Danny's does not negate his talent - I believe it was Jamie Foxx who made some comment about Kris not singing "in the throat olympics," but he was impressed enough with Kris to say he would like to do something with him.
While I, too, wish that somehow the voting could be limited to one vote per computer/land line/cell phone/etc., that is not the way the AI rules work, so as long as the rules are as they are, I will play by the rules and hit redial as many times as I can in the two-hour period. As I said, I am 47, and I have voted more this year than ever before - not 5 times per night, but more like 1200 times per night (my 23-year-old son jokingly calls me an "American Idol loser").
I think both Kris and Adam will have very successful music careers, but as it has been since before the final 13 were ever chosen, my vote is with Kris.
P.S. I petition the Danny fanss not to take out your anger on Kris. He didn't do anything wrong... he is in the same boat as the other contestants - at the mercy of the (biased - I'm sorry) judges and the voting public.

Towards the final weeks, American Idol tends to veer off from being a talent show to a popularity show. I think it's largely driven by the 10-to-16 year old crowd who are more interested in the measure of "cuteness" than how talented a contestant is. Danny Gokey is far more talented than Kris Allen, but he doesn't register high on the "cuteness" meter that creates teeny bopper crushes. I think that is where American Idol starts to loose its credibility as an avenue for finding unique talent and declines into the halls of Junior High popularity. So sad.

I can't wait for Kris to RIGHTFULLY kick Adam's showboat-y butt. By using talent. Instead of screaming. Yeah, I said it.

All three guys seem like good guys and have "mad talent." But I think Danny is best. Adam is just too theatrical (I see him on Broadway projecting for the back row), but I have to admit he knows what he wants to sing and sings it. Chris has the R&B thing down and held up well when everyone was writing him off. But Danny sounds like he's in touch with the lyrics and feels the music. I'd buy his albums.

it is a little disappointing the show has gone to such lengths to promote Adam. He had the last spot more than anyone, was pushed by the judges, is on the cover of a magazine on the stands right now (which wouldn't happen without the show's ok), and had Simon actually telling people to vote for him Tuesday night. Even tonight's "star" Katie Perry was pushing him with his name on her wardrobe. Kinda hard for the others to compete with that.

Both Adam and Kris have talent. It is a matter of personal taste and opinion as to who you would like to win. BUT, next week, whoever has the fastest fingers will have their winner!

All three are worthy contestants. I feel Adam is not in this for a rock star career. I believe he will use American Idol for name recognition to star on Broadway. Theater is his strong suit. I also feel Kris will have the longest recording career out of this group of talented singers.

Adam Lambert is an exceptional talent, has a phenomenal voice, is an electrifying entertainer. He is the real deal. He has perfect intonation, incredible rhythm, nuanced phrasing and varied tone qualities. It is truly inspiring to hear whatever he sings. He has such diversity. I can't wait to go to his concerts and buy his CD's. He'll be right up there with the best of them.

My husband and I started watching AI for the first time ever during country week. I said then, "I hope it's Adam and Kris." We are totally addicted now; and I love Adam, but hope Kris takes the title. I'm not a teeny bopper (I'm 47) but I voted for Kris over 20 times last night.

I've watched the blogs and commentaries and now I'll add my 2 cents worth: Adam is a fabulous performer with a killer good voice, but I suspect that won't translate to a stellar recording career – he needs to be viewed live or perhaps as the frontman for a really good band.

Danny does have a Joe Cocker thing going on, but with less than consistent results, plus he's not particularly relevant musically. Also, he reminds me of Michael Bolton (without the vocal range) and his stuff all sounds the same. I was so turned off by his cockiness and over-confidence – he's not good enough to warrant it.

Kris gets slammed alot for the "boy band" appeal thing, but think about that for a minute. Boy bands have been wildly successful in every decade since the 50's. Kris is talented musically and vocally and puts an understated (and underrated) stamp on virtually all of his performances. His humility is also attractive and doesn't appear to be feigned. The winner doesn't have to be an egomaniacal jerk.

Anyway, I would be very happy to see Kris take the title but it'll be close – anyone else notice the 1,000,000 votes separating Kris and Adam this week? It looks like Allison's fans might have voted a bunch for Kris. Wonder what Danny's will do?......

The finally would have been more interesting if they where Adam and Alison.

You may like Kris, but he is just not exciting and his voice is not unique; whereas both Alison and Adam have distictive voices and they are the real top two.

I am rather amused at everyone who claims that Danny would have stood a better chance of beating Adam in the finale – if that were true, then he would have garnered the necessary votes NOW and he would not have been sent home. The simple fact is that Kris received more votes. I think that it doesn't matter who stood against Adam – Adam will likely win – with Katy Perry's unfair endorsement, with the cover of Entertainment Weekly and with Simon's plea for votes for Adam and even iTunes claim of being fair (listing – the cards have been stacked in his favor. I have had my fill of the drag queen screamer – perhaps if he had the ability to sing ONE song without that awful screech, I might have found something beautiful in his performances – but he ruined every one with that awful off-key yell.

Hi i am a filipino. It would be disappointing to see Adam not to win in this competition. And it would also a shame if America will not vote for him. He deserves to win because he has everything an artist should have.

I believe all the four judges, especially Simon, like Adam in his performances and they show their desire for Adam to be the American Idol winner.

To Simon, you are the greatest. Indeed, you are the king of common sense. Without you, American Idol is not that great. I really like your honesty and frankness to the contestants. And i hope America will carefully listen to what you are saying about the performance of the contestants. You should never leave American Idol for you are the life of the show.

To the other judges, i like your sincerity and kindness to the contestants. But sometimes, you have to be honest as to the way the contestants are performing.

From the judges hinting at who should get the votes to a cape flashing a name I'm disappointed.

In the end this is not a reflection of what America truly wants, rather a reflection of how many people can obsessively hit redial dozens of times. 88 million votes but from how many actual viewers? And how many from a certain demographic? I would love to see how this show would play out if there was only one vote per phone line allowed.

Oh well, in the end Danny will be another Daughtry and will outsell both of them anyway.

If it were a cute guy at the open mic night contest I'd vote for Kris. But it is a singing competition and in all fairness Adam has won it. His voice is pitch perfect from a whisper to a scream.

apple and orange...this is not just a competition of singing talent, but rather who is most appealing to the audiences (age, sexual preference,gender, ethnicity..etc)who watch this program, if it was all about singing talent, Adam should win....however, the top four are all very talented ...therefore the winner is the most popular..not the most talented.

I am a 71 year old great-grandma and I am hooked on Idol. The final two turned out exactly as I would have picked...altho, I never did vote; tried once or twice but could never get through (all season). I'm positive Adam will win, although I probably will never buy one of his recordings (not my style). He is however VERY, very talented. Now Chris, I just might buy, depends on what genreTHEY pick for him.

I'm so sorry that Danny isn't going to be in the finals. He is an exciting performer and while I'm rooting for Adam Lambert, I think Danny is a much more exciting entertainer than Kris Allen - Kris is nice but doesn't "knock it out of the park for me". The phone lines were quite busy for Danny & Adam last night–I was only able to call in about 5-6 times for each. While you never know the blessings that come from not being in the two frontrunners, I think the final showdown would have been palpable and lot more interesting with Danny & Adam. I wish Adam and Danny only the best!

If it hadn't been for Adam, I wouldn't even be watching this season's shows. He's the only performer in the bunch! I'll buy his albums, but I wouldn't give a dime for any of the others'.

I've never seen or voted on AI before these last few weeks and it's only because of Adam, he's a stellar performer. That said, only a million votes separated him and Gokey and I think it's obvious where Gokey's vote is going to go. I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure Kris is going to win. Despite that, Kris is a novelty whose shininess will soon wear. Adam has stay power and a more supportive base, though smaller. It'll be Aiken-like (the situation, not musically...a-duh).

I'm still going to vote for Adam though every five seconds until the line closes next Tuesday.

I have been watching American idol since day one ....never have I seen anyone as talented or with the vocal abilities as Adam. Each & every week I can't wait to see what he will bring to the stage.Entertainment, looks & killer vocals..... this guy has it all. To future Idol contestants......it better be game on if you ever want to top this master of music!!

Am so dissapointed with the results. I know Kris can sing but Danny is way better than him. Dannny should have been in the finale. He is soulfull and he possesed a masterclass kind of voice just like Simon said yesterday. Regret, Paula chose him a wrong song!

America got it wrong!!! Danny was the best vocals on the show. American Idol is not picking the best singer, that's for sure.

I predicted Kris as the winner about 6 weeks ago. He fits the bill of the American Idol winner: cute, harmless, fairly talented, nice versions of popular songs, but all else he is probably the most interesting solo performer. Adam is either a front man for a hard rock band, or even better, a star on Broadway. Between the two of them, who really wants the career of being pursued by screaming 12 year old girls? Adam is a gay, drama geek. I'm not saying that in a negative way, but thats what he is. just that it feels that he is putting on a closeted act for the sake of winning the show. After watching his homecoming to San Diego, the only time he seemed comfortable was when he was visiting his old theater company. Does he really want to keep this charade up permanently? Very doubtful. Kris, on the hand, has probably always had the attention of little girls, and could be the sensitive rocker type that they adore.

For the record.... I am 50 years of age ..... I like Kris over Adam! Yes, Danny voters, go for Kris. Just because Adam has the Elvis thing going, doesn't make him Elvis.

Can't even remember one forgettable performance from Kris..He's simply not that good..they should change the name of the show to " tenny bopper's most cutest on the show"...noone votes on talent anymore its become a joke..

An Adam vs Allison finale would be so much more exciting. Ever since she went home, don't really care who ends up as the other finalist. The fight put up by either Kris or Danny would be dull anyway. And Adam's gonna win!

Wednesday night was terrible.Chris no way should of beat Danny.My husband think`s the show is rigged.Lastnight was terrible.

I did want to see Danny in the finals...I started with him because he was from Milwaukee (the hometime fav:) ) and he proved himself week after week...but so did Kris and Adam. Honestly, these were my top picks weeks ago so to have it come down to the same three....it's very hard to cast a vote! All three have major talent that is unique enough to set them apart from each other. I don't doubt for any minute that Danny will be a "loser" here....he will succeed just like the final two will just not as an "American Idol" champion!

Was it just me, or does anyone else wish Danny sang the way he did last night - on Tuesday night? I didn't feel the emotion of the song on Tuesday the way that I did last night. It was an amazing goodbye performance. Well done, Danny, and best wishes on your career!

Adam should be on broadway and not an idol. He is talented but not for what idol is. The good thing is they will all get record deals. Out of the final two, Kris is the one who could go farther as a singing star.

Actually the one that does not win idol is probably better off because he is not tied to the idol contract and can negotiate his own contracts.

Well, the 2 better signings are going to the finals, just as it should be. It is a little unfortunate because at this stage it doesn't really matter if the better singers win. Adam and Kris will both have recording deals immediately. Part of me was hoping Danny would win because he had the most to gain by having a 1 year deal with Idol, while the other 2 won't need it. I am guessing Idol really wants Adam to win so they can cash in big time $$$.

Anyone who thinks Adam should not be in the finals is delusional!! He is by far the best this whole season and he has consistently been the best. Every week he has shown his strength and has been the best consistently without waiver. Unless Adam messes up big time next week, next weeks competition will just be a formality – Adam will be AI's 2009 winner!!

I cannot believe that America has gone GAH GAH over the screaming mimi talents of Adam over Danny's soulful style... Adam is a good singer if only he would not work that nerve racking scream into EVERY song that he sings!

I so hoped that it would come down to Danny and Kris, two equally deserving talents. But the writing was on the wall, from as far back as a month or so ago, with all the media hype, guest artist high jinxs and magazine covers, for Adam to be the clear winner way before this thing was over.

The very best of luck to Kris next week but I probably will not be watching... All the allowed and apparent "grooming" of a certain contestant has left a bad taste in my mouth when it come to Amercian Idol this year.

Kris will probably win, because all of the Danny voters will vote for him. If there really were only 1 million votes between the two, Danny's base will make that up easily and give Kris the win.

Kris got to the finals based on his looks and pop appeal, not for his singing ability being better than Danny's. Kris is too boring and forgettable! Adam all the way!

I was very disappointed to see Danny go. Amercian idol is about performance, stage presence, personality and great voice. Dannyhas all of that. Adam is good but he belongs with Rock star supeerstar...And Kris? He should have been the one going home or he too belongs in the Country show..Danny is #1 and will always be. I really hope Adam wins but I don't know. Gokey fans might go with safe and boring Danny, so I agree with John above. It will be sad if Adam doesn't win but either way, he will be a huge success. I'm old so Adam will probably make music that I would not even listen to, however; there is no denying, he has the best vocals by far. Great things are coming his way and I wish him all the best.

I think Kris will win next week because the Danny supporters like myself will not vote for screaming Adam. Thank God for Idol though so people like Danny and Kris can make it big. I have always like Adam the best and feel that he is the best overall within the competition. I think the last three were the strongest too.

Now, I feel that the last two guys are truly the "artists" of the entire group of contestants and deserve to be in the final. Both Kris and Adam are very good, but for me ADAM is extraordinary!!! -Right now we have a huge ROCK N ROLLER paired up against a folk singer. They are completely different genres.....

From early on this is what I thought and hoped would be the outcome! I would buy either artist's album in a heart beat and am happy either way, although I will be over the top if Adam wins and Kris takes 2nd. Best season of American Idol yet in terms of talent, the competition and the entertainment of the overall show!

Adam is the total package and that is what sells music. I am a senior citizen with an IPOD. I never downloaded a song to it. My kids loaded it for me. Well, I learned fast and downloaded all of Adam's songs. Does that tell you something? Now for Kris vs Danny. Danny has appeal however the package is not as good and that is what gets votes. Kris has eye appeal but does not have the range. Frankly as a senior he bores me so the kids must be voting for eye appeal. If that is so, COME ON SENIORS, help me. America got it wrong, I've not cared for Kris since the start, and would buy albums from Danny in a heartbeat..but not Kris. Adam had better win and he is exuding talent.

I believe that the correct final 3 were in the running this week. I agree with the results from tonights show. Sorry Danny, but you have to go home.

As for the final next week, my prediction is Adam will be our next American Idol winner. I predicted this, along with some of my friends, early on this season. Not only is Adam a very talented singer, but he has a comfort level on stage that is second to none this season.

In the end I also predict that we will be hearing Chris and Danny also on the radio in the near future.

To all of you that say Kris only appears to the teens/tweens, my husban dand I are both huge Kris fans. In fact this is the first season that I have ver voted for anyone on Idol, and all my votes went to Kris.

Adam was born in the wrong decade for the music he sings. He is very talented but completely not relevant to the music industry today. And he is NOT the second coming of Elvis – there will never be another Elvis so get over yourselves.

Danny's voice was completely shot. His scream singing is a big part of what kept him out of the finale. Had he toned down the screaming he would have sounded better and I do think more casual fans of the show would have voted for him.

I think next week will be interesting. Kris and Adam are very different. I don't think those that say Adam will "blow Kris out of the water" are right. How many of us expected Heartless out of Kris? Adam is a little bit more predictable IMHO so who knows what these 2 will bring to the Nokia theater next week. Whatever it is should ve fun.

Adam is the "entertainer" but Kris is the "musician." Which one will win – the "entertainer" or the "musician?" It will be a great finale – probably the best ever. I'm pulling for the "musician!"

Interesting result. Considering that Danny and Kris have similar singing styles (compared to Adam), the final could be a surprise. If the Gokey fans decide they want to stick with that style, Adam could be in trouble.

All three are talented, there is no doubt about that. I believed Danny & Adam should have been the finalist.........but I am one, and in Canada, so no vote for me! hate him, like him, or love him, Adam Lambert is one of the most talented individuals to walk that stage. Personally I LOVE him!

I am REALLY shocked that Danny was voted off last night. He's never been in the bottom list and now he's out.

Chris Allen is a singers but I thought Danny had a stronger vocal but I guess he chose the wrong song, it was a horrible song choice. I can see why he was voted off for his mistake in choosing it.

Chris probably got the votes because of his cute looks.

But I would have perfer Danny to stay.

Adam will crash and burn....mark my words!!! He will be just like Fantasia and Taylor Hicks!!! He will not be like Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson....not by a mile!!!

I was hoping for the ultimate shocker....Kris and Danny in the finale...Would have loved that one.

I was surprised with the outcome alst nite show. Danny deserved to be in the final!!!! Kris is ok as well as Adam. Adam has his rock star type, Kris is good with ballad. Danny is good rock or ballad he is sounds like between Joe Cocker and Neil Diamond. But who knows in the future. He turned out to be like Chris Daugherty become popular than the winner of the that season. So i say Go DANNY you sing my kind of music the best vocal of all.

They’ve done everything they could to ensure Adam wins. More power to them. I guess when Simon gets a crush, he goes all out!

My question is – if Adam is so great, then why is he having to rely on a “popularity” contest to get noticed? None of the greats had these contests to help them.

Is AI hoping to bring back Glam-rock? Well, I’ve got news for them. This kid is no Bowie, Bolan, Elton or Freddie. Gary Glitter is more like it.

i have to say it was a disappointment to see danny go instead of kris. lets face it they used that (safe) spot for kris when it should have been used for allison. Danny is good and so is Adam. I would have like to see the end of the season be between Adam and Danny, or Allison and Adam. Kris is to bland, basic and boring. and whatever they have cut in the budget the musical guest have really wasted time. Hopefully they will get back to originality of the show go back to the 3 judges. and get musical guest that can sing. not someone that can put you to sleep. the only reason it was worth watching was because of Adam , Danny and Allison. now with Danny and Allison eliminated. all eyes are on Adam. hopefully he comes out on top. Kris is a lounge singer, always was and will be.

What really blew us away was when Katie Perry came out and was allowed to wear a costume with a cape EMBROIDERED with Adam Lambert's name on the back. A bit "political" and biased, don' t you think?

And anyone with any musical talent at all can see that, while all three young men are talented, Danny Gokey's gonna' take center stage after all is said and done.

Poor Kris - he's a scapegoat - a stool pigeon - and he's got a great future ahead of him, but first he has to bear the shame of "pretending" to be in competition with Adam Lambert.

I like Adam but I do not think his voice will translate well onto radio. I always felt like Kris was the most commercial/marketable although Danny was my favorite. Im sure he will get a record deal anyway. Chris Daughtry proved that not being in the finals doesnt break your career.....Taylor Hicks proved that winning AI doesnt guarantee huge success either.

I just don't get it, I just don't get it. Danny's talent far outweighs Kris's I believe. In addition, he has ten times the charisma and stage presence.

A good representation of most of America with the outcome. How whitebread would a Kris/Danny face off be. Talk about boring, not to mention a ratings plummet. We have 2 great talents with totally different styles. Love it. It will be very close and probably have 2 really good numbers. Looking forward to it. They both have solid fan base who will vote like crazy. Why have "hate" words for any contestant? They all respect eachother and will work together on the tour to give great shows to their admiring public. After all, it's entertainment not politics. In the end, they will each wind up with some kind of contracts and their fans will be able to load up on the style of music they like. Viva America where we can think about this stuff instead of if we are going to eat today.

For those crying over the Katy Perry cape – get over it. Was it unfair that Smokey gave Adam a standing ovation? Was it unfair that Slash commented on Adam's vocal range? Was it unfair that Led Zepplin or U2 gave permission for Adam to sing their songs, but never before? It is not surprising that others in the entertainment business recognize talent in Adam.

It's about damn time Gokey got the boot. Excellent job America, I'm proud of you.

Remember when an insider let it out that the fix was on .... last night proved it. Adam will win no matter the vote count. It's a shame the judges can't be more open about thier love of him .... gag.

Finally, that raspy voiced karoke singer is gone! I never liked Danny even back in the auditions stage, and I thought his friend Jamar, who many were swooning over, was even worse. Danny's voice is a carbon copy of the rough, nasty sounding male voices that have become popular lately, just like females have become carbon copy belters. You can't tell one from the other. Both Kris and Adam have distinctive sounds; different genres and styles for sure, but they'll never sound like a dozen other guys on the radio. I've been hoping for months for a Kris/Adam finale–mad originality versus mad performance. Danny had neither. And both of them have better voices than he did. And, folks, if this show is fixed, Danny would be in the finals. The judges have been pushing for him since the beginning.

Its been obvious from the start of Hollywood week that Adam was the Judges little darling. And during the whole of the competition with a very few good spots he's been a one trick pony, despite a screaching high note in every single song he's song... nothing impressive. Flashy he is, entertaining perhaps... but that high note gets real tiring after a bit. He'll get a album... and he'll start to fade.

Danny will do fine, he's been consistent all along, same with Allison.

Kris will last a good while, he's competently sang from all genres and he's been consistently popular with the core group of his fans. He has a laid back style and is not a Rocker. He's a crooner and he'll do well.

And just like the democractic primaries, America votes for the "cool" guy instead of the "more qualified" candidate. Should've been Hillary...Should've been Gokey.

I for one am very disappointed, I have been a Danny fan from the very beginning... and I too believe that he should be in the finals...
I was SHOCKED to say the least that Kris was safe...as soon as I heard it, I turned my T.V off.. didn't really matter much after that...
I've been an Idol fan for years, and this year I don't even care to watch the finals...
We all kinda know that Adam should take it, but would have really great if Danny was number 2....I have no doubt that Danny will soar and we will hear from again !

The public finally got it right! Danny should have gone last week and I was not impressed with his over confidence. Chris is very talented as a muscian and a singer. Adam is very good at entertaining and can reach notes that I haven't seen since Steven Tyler.

Adam should win the whole thing but I will not under estimate Chris and his instruments.
Let's not forget that these two have also enchanted many Female fans combined.

I honestly don't care who wins this year, since I was a big Allison fan. I am glad Kris made it through, if only to show the judges and producers they can't shove singers down our throats. At the beginning they all said it would Lil, Adam and Danny in the Top 3 and Danny and Adam in the final. Well, Lil left long ago and Kris continued to gain support to overtake and pass Danny. I think Adam is the right one in the final, but I really wanted Allison, and I think the judges really did her wrong.

I think it is terrible how the people from American Idol are trying to manipulate the public. It is more than obvious that they want Adam to win. That is ok, but this is AMERICAN IDOL, not judges and entertainer idol. I could not believe it when Katy Perry had Adam's name on her cape, what an unfair advantage for him. In all the years I have been watching it and loving it this is the first time I have no desire to watch it next season. They might as well just give it to Adam, because for the fist time ever I don't trust the vote.

I tried to vote for 2 hours Tuesday night for Danny and could not get through on any of his lines. So were they having extra hours for the other two so that there could be more votes for the others. All I have to say is that I will not be voting next week since there is no one left to vote for. I hope Adam does not win since FOX and AI are trying to win as many votes as possible for him.

I think Adam & Kris are a better match-up than Danny & anyone, really. They both have their own unique style & have clearly made songs their own WAY more than Danny Gokey ever did. He's got a great church choir voice, but that's really it. I'm very happy with the choice for our season finale this year.

I'm stunned. Danny's Tuesday performances were both better than either of Adam's. I love all three but I thought Danny had the most distinctive voice and just the nicest guy! Danny, we'll miss you. Love you, Dude. We know you'll go far.

This stinks, Danny was clearly the best vocally than the other two. Adam is simply a screamer. His singing career will be short lived, and is viable to only a very narrow group of fans. Chris is good, and would have made a Danny/ Kris final interesting. It was very clear that the show has predetermined a win for Adam. I do not even have to watch the finals to know.

I am glad Kris made it to the finals. I was hoping for an upset finale which would have been Danny and Kris. Adam is a good singer until he goes up high then the screaming becomes annoying. I think Kris is the most marketable of the three and will be a major star. Hopefully Danny's fans will pitch their support behind Kris next week.
I think that the judges blatant pushing about Adam has turned some people off of him.

I haven't voted for AI in about 3 seasons, but I had to vote for Kris. He's awesome! I like Adam, but he's too theatrical for me. Kris all the way!!!

I love Danny. I was hoping he would make the finals. I am just not into Kris. I don't like his nasally tone and he makes ugly faces when he sings.

I wonder how many parents will be calling their cellular companies next month when they see the mysterious $5 charge on their bill since their porch rats texted "909999" when Idol was promoting their campaign.

Adam keeps you on the edge of you seat anticipating his next move. He's a clear winner.

It's the outcome I've been hoping for all season! Adam and Kris are, by far, the 2 most talented and impressive contestants of the season. Gokey was OK but would have been another Taylor Hicks-type...and one Taylor Hicks is quite enough, thank you.

Danny is a great singer, but he has not been a favorite of mine. Adam has always been my favorite and I have always liked Kris. I am so glad they are in the finale next week. Can't wait!

Definitely was Paula's song choice that did Danny in. It was just stupid to pick a song no one knows. Paula's intellect seems to be deteriorating every year. The judges get way too much attention during the show. Randy and Simon are the only ones that people really care what they say and Simon is sometimes out of line with his remarks (but hey, that's what gets the ratings since the beginning). He has enough credibility to get a way with it.

Danny was my favorite, definitely one of the best voices ever on Idol. I have no doubt that he'll have a great career even though he didn't win. Adam is an amazing talent and Kris has undoubtedly performed well even though he doesn't measure up to the singing talent of the other two.

Overall, it was a good season, maybe the best.

America finally got it right! It's about time Danny got the boot. He is always so boring. He's going back to Snoozeville where he belongs!

I am glad these 2 are in the finals. I like Kris much more than Adam. I never liked the screaming of Adam. Kris is a true musician and artist. He is way better than Adam for me. Each one is different. I could never buy a CD of Adam's. I see him as only part of a rock band. Kris will CREATE and sing songs, not just scream them as Adam does. Adam is entertaining but not as much for me as Kris. GO KRIS.

This is one of the many flaws in Idol. They are going to get one of the least talented singers and entertainers to become champion.

All because Gokey and Allen basically split votes.

Adam is by far the most creative, and vocally talented person we have seen on AI in a long time. Both Danny and Kris have "been there, hear that" sounds. It's not that they are bad singers; the are really good, but they are nothing new. Adam is something new. Too much of the Adam hating has to do with his clothing/hair/appearance than his singing. Too bad people are that shallow.

Danny was only kept in because of his sad story about his wife. If it wasn't for that he would have been gone a long time ago. Adam is a rocker but Kris is the best of the three. Allison was the BEST of the 4.

Until they have the vote results audited by an impartial auditing firm – America wastes their time and money voting. PUHLEASE! AI has been selling Adam since very very early on.

All three deserved to be in the finals. I hated to see Danny go but if I were Adam I would watch my back because Kris is coming. Adam is a good entertainer but for listening pleasure I would choose Kris.

kris has been much more unpredictable than danny in his artistic interpretations and is deserving of the finals.

Danny was my horse all along and when his album comes out I will buy it. Danny should have been in the finals but I am interested to see what happens next week. I think its exactly like last year. I really thought David Archuleta was going to win and was so happy when he didn't. If Kris takes it home I think it will be a great ending to a great season.

I was surprised and happy to see Kris get into the finale. He totally deserved it! I was hoping for Danny, Kris and Adam to be the top 3! It was sad to see Danny go, but I'm sure he will be signed for a record deal. Adam is a talented singer and performer, but I can do without the screams. I text-voted for Kris and I'm old as dirt!

I think Kris could win Idol. I like Adam's singing but when he screams, it turns me off – big time.

I loss respect for Danny after he trashed the American Idol house. He was so cavalier about the damage he had done, and after seeing the mock clean up bill for $6000, he said he was surprised to get the bill because he thought American Idol had a lot of money. Very immature. I think he took a lot of things for granted and was banking on sympathy votes. Which worked for awhile. I also think he was BORING AS HELL! Nothing special about him. He'd never be marketable.

There are 2 schools of thought as to why Kris will win.
1. If the voting is indeed real, he most definitely has the teeny bopper vote.

2. If not one single vote is counted, Kris needs the guaranteed record deal WAY more than Adam. Same reason Daughtry, Clay, Tamyra and any other lock didn't win.

Last year was an anomaly. I thougth Arch had the boppers and more need of the deal, but Cook still won (deservedly). I guess the show is doing its job; keep America guessing and watching!

I'm torn.... I don't know if I want Adam to be tied down to the AI contract. So I think Kris should win, and Adam will get his freedom and creativity to do whatever he wants!

Just seeing that cape with "AL's" name on it makes me want to vote for KRIS. Kris is forgettable -very cute!- but forgettable and I would have like to have seen Danny or Allison in the finals. Just shows you how far Kris' looks have gotten him. I think Adam is a circus act.

All three finalists have improved so much since the first week. I'm shocked that Danny was voted out for I think Chris is the weakest link. My votes are for for Andy .. he is so far above anyone on that stage.

NEXT WEEK WIL REVEAL:

Kris is CUTE and CUTE gets the 13 year old girls to vote, before they realize he is MARRIED.

Adam is HOT and HOT gets the gay men, 17 and up women and devotees of great singing to vote and they vote sparingly because they have less time.

SADLY, even though I think Adam will have a great career and I will pay to see HIM instead, Kris will win it. He appeals to more of the people who vote stupidly, without thinking of the song or the competition, instead thinking with the heat between their legs.

Kris looks like one of them, a kid. He will always look like a little kid, and he will always sell records. But I want to go see a performer, and Adam is the man I will PAY to see.

Kris sucks, couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. The finale should have been Adam and Allison anyway. So I won't be watching the final show. Adam will do fine when he releases his album. Kris will be the next Taylor Hicks, won't be able to sell a record to his friends. Simon was shocked, he didn't want Kris in the final either, everybody I know who watches the show could really care less now and has not even watched since Allison was voted out. We all saw how it was going to end. Have to say very disappointing. Way to go America!!

From the beginning I picked Danny, Adam and Kris as my favorites so I was thriled to see them as the last 3 standing, but my friends and I are total, total Adam freaks – he is such a breath of freshness for the show, and he's eye candy. Honestly, I would have loved to have seen Danny and Adam as the final two – it would have been another David vs. David situation, because both of them were stand-outs all year (no offense to Kris, he's wonderful too, but Danny and Adam, well.....)
Obviously it's not over for Danny, but if I don't want to have to buy a new TV, Adam sure as heck better be the last man standing!

Danny might not have been as flamboyant as Adam but he has longevity as a singer. Adam is a fad and will burn out fast. Only 2 people to win AI have actually done anything and that is Carrie underwood and Kelly Clarkson. Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry and Katherine Mcphee did better in sales than the winner of their season.

Danny is the American Idol. He got robbed last night. He had my vote since day one. American definately got it wrong. I was shocked that he was voted off. He was never in the bottom 3 how could he have been voted off. I don' even want to watch the finale.

It saddens me that so many of you deny Adam's obvious talent. And Kris deserves his place as well. Both have consistently presented surprising song choices, outstanding vocals and unique arrangements. Danny has a superb voice and seems to be a nice guy, but his song selections have been so safe and predictable, and his range is finite. Kris should win because he's the closest to pop– not to mention I can't bear Adam having to record the annually lame "Idol song". He'll be an incredible star on his own, and I can't wait to see how far he soars.

Kris and Adam. America got it right. Next week – I'll vote for Kris. Or Adam. Really looking forward to hearing them both sing again. It's going to be really close I think.

Kris developed during the competition and he is someone that can become a true artist. With Adam you get what you see as I do not think he can deliver more than he showed already. For me the true Idol is Kris. And he will have success! Performing acousticallly without backup singers is a big challange. That last song from Kris was the best one of all the season.

Just a little observation: Have you noticed how many people on here spell "Kris" incorrectly? I think that he is a great singer, but I don't think people are paying too much attention to him. He's cute and sweet and has a nice singing voice, but is he memorable? I'm not too sure, but having people learn how to spell his name would be a good start for him. I'm an Adam fan all the way! Go Adam for the win!!

Wow I haven't been called a teenie bopper in years. I'm 46 years old and I voted for Kris. I think he is awesome! Reminds me of a John Mayer or Jason Mraz.

I wsan't real happy with the results. I was hoping for Chris and Danny in the finals. Adam with his screeching and his tongue are really starting to get lame. I thought he was third best on Tuesday. I also think the judges have America talked into voting for him.

Cmon......if you haven't gotten past that, you have way bigger problems than who to vote for on a reality TV show! Adam is terrifically talented.....and gave us a show-stopper performance every week. Kris is cute and talented but you have to admit he was inconsistent....hence his many trips to the "silver stools" during the season. America got it wrong again,it should be Adam and Danny, Chis sounds good for one song and that puts him in the final,Adam and Danny have been consistently good, if Adam looses, which he shouldn't,he will still sell more cd's than Chris, but thats not the point,my vote goes to Adam

What a bunch of crap. Kris should not be in the Finale. I would not pay to see him jam on a acoustic guitar like he did Tuesday night. If I wanted to hear that, I would go and listen to my cousin play. The only reason he got through is because he's eye candy for the ladies. There is no way that Kris can sing better than Danny. This reminds me of Blake Lewis...The girls loved him and that's why he got through. Might as well hand the title to Adam now cause Kris has a snowballs chance of winning. Adam can't sing either (but he can sure crack your glasses from his screaching) but everyone already knows who is going to win. I probably won't even watch it now. Even if Danny had made it, Adam was still going to win but I think it would have been a much better competiton. Now we are stuck with Kris and Adam. I still see Allison and Danny selling a lot of records even though they are not going to win...I see them having success just like Chris Daughtry did.

FYI to Unreal:

Clay Aiken, yes, I said it, has sold over 5 million CDs, 4 tours, his own Christmas special & numerous guest starring on top shows since he left Idol in 2003. He has sold more CDs than all the winners. That makes him "marketable". Daughtry recently tied himin CD sales & he was fourth.

Kris should win this season, Simon already hinted that there will be an upset. ( Hello everybody) Ryan has even called Kris the Dark Horse.

Even at my age (62), I learn something new everyday and can see why what I consider mediocre or average musicianship, is another man's (or woman"s) delight and taste. There's no way I'd EVER buy Kris' music, but wouldn't hesitate to do so if Danny was singing it. There is no question as to who has the most talent in this contest (Adam), but when you consider someone like Taylor Hicks gets voted as "American Idol", well then I can readily understand why someone like Kris gets as far as he has. Either way, its a sure bet that all three (Danny, Kris and Adam) have big time futures ahead and should make a mint no matter what!

I think that the whole American Idol thing is rigged!!! Adam can not sing to save his life, all he does when he gets on stage is screech!! The finale should be Danny and Kris there the ones who can sing and won't end up addicted to drugs.

They are both great singers. Adam would be good behind a band. But Kris is great just solo. I would buy Kris's CD, probably not Adam. Kris is relevant right now, Adam would have been great in an 80's rock band.

Personally I will never watch American Idol again. The gay screetcher was annointed from the beginning and everyone knew he was the one the judges wanted to win – why I don't know. All he knows how to do is move around and screetch. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard. Danny is MUCH better off without having to worry with American Idol – he can do his own thing and WILL be successful. The "screetcher", on the otherhand – will be lucky if anyone remembers his real name within a year. If it was a "true" talent contest, it would have been Allison and Danny in the finals. Gokey should have gone home before Allison, if not way sooner. He is not marketable and would have gone the way of Ruben, Fantasia, and Taylor Hicks. Im happy this season for Adam and Kris. They are both very current and I could see them both with big hits on the radio. Adam winning is expected but I think Kris will pull an upset.

Kris has clearly demonstrated his quiet artistry and, while I'm surprised Danny didn't make it to the final, I think the contest between Adam and Kris will be much more compelling. Adam's theatrical training and vocal acrobatics have been utterly captivating. Kris, on the other hand, delivers a consistent elegance that remains sublimely smooth and romantic. Next week's final will be like seeing Matisse vs. Van Gogh.

I am saddened by America once again. American Idol is a singing competition looking for the best singer, not how cute someone is, or that your heart melts. Give me a break. Chris did very well but anyone who knows vocals and has any lick of sense knows that Adam is the best overall singer, and Danny is better than Chris. Personally I think it has become more of who is your favorite, and which style you like better, not who is the best vocalist. Allison should not have gone home when she did, Chris should have. If Chris wins I will be even more saddened by America and know they are not interested in the best vocalist. I personally think the voting should be changed to 50% American and 50% judges or some formula where the judges also vote. Sad, Sad, Sad, I only hope America gets it right this time. Come on America, choose the best vocalist.

Adam is far more talented and polished as a performer. Kris would put you to sleep in concert. This guy is great for 3rd graders but for those of us who like talent, vocals, and a top performer - it's Adam by a mile.

No Adam Lambert....no show....can you imagine how boring AI would have been had there been no Adam to perform....America got it right and I will bet he had more votes than Kris....the only person who could have given Adam a run for the money was Allison....with Adam still winning the competition...She should have been there instead of Kris...that would have been a great show....Adam is the bomb and he will have a memorable career contrary to what some of the naysayers here are implying.....this guy has already made the cover of numerous mags and is by far the most popular artist on the show....best performer in AI history.....

I am totally disgusted in America. Although I like Kris, so no offense to him whatsoever here, this is a singing competetion and Danny is far better, never been in bottom 3, I voted for 2 hours on my home phone and feel I have the right to say this. I really wanted Adam and Danny going head to head leaving Adam the winner. I have watched every season and this has been the most exciting. If Adam does not win this, America needs to stop voting and let the judges rule it.

Sorry...but I think Adam can do his own thing elsewhere. Danny and Kris should have been the two finals. No matter what, I am sure that Danny will pick up something big in the future... look at Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry at how well they are doing for themselves and they didn't win Idol!

For a show run like a well oiled machine, the voting system is terribly flawed. There should be one vote allowed per number to be an accurate accounting of favored performers.

I don't think Kris should have beaten out Danny. Danny and Adam are the best. Kris' Kanye West song was excellent, however, just listening to Danny last night singing You Are So Beautiful, he is CLEARLY better than Kris. Kris strains to hit even the slightest high note – he mostly yodles through the song. I just started liking Kris these past couple of weeks, but the fact that his range is so limited is a strike against him. It's painful to watch him sing – his face distortions are unbelievable!

Neither Kris or Gokey are anywhere close to Adam in singing ability. The judges lack credibility and are pretending they are so people will not abandon the final shows. Kris and Gokey are so pitchy, it hurts to listen to them. Alyson was the best competition for Adam. I am sure he is breathing easy now.

Yes!! With just over a million votes separating these two who knows. I think most of Danny's votes will go to Kris so unless a lot of people that have never voted before decide to vote Kris could be the man. I would love to see Kris win not just because I feel he deserves it but so we can see Simon and all the others judges eat some crow!!!

I think in many of our hearts we wanted Adam and Kris. I’m thrilled that America voted with their hearts. Reminds me of Obama’s victory!

I think Paula should have been voted off for the crappy song choice that I really think did Danny in. He is a far better singer than Kris. Kris is so boring and any high notes he goes for seem to break up and become excrutiating to endure.

This is all moot though.................Adam has the talent and will be the one who goes the farthest in his career.

I think its funny that people who do not agree with the outcome think that the show is rigged. Face your boy lost, that simple. There are a lot of people saying that they are disgusted because Adam is through, I am disgusted that I live in a society that can be so petty and hateful. I want Adam to win, but I am a big enough person to wish the others all the best, too bad I am one of few.

I was pretty sure Gokey would go home. I thought he'd leave before Allison. He sings very well and I like his music but overall most of his songs sound the same. I can't imagine who could suggest that Adam can't sing. If you don't like his "screaming" listen to some of his ballads on youtube. He definitely has the best voice on the show. I think legendary rock star vocalists are a rare breed and he truly has the voice for it or any other type of music he wants to produce.

I always felt Kris would be in the finals. He's been my favorite from about midseason (I originally was an Adam fan). He may not have the strongest voice but this competition is about more than just technical qualities of voice. And Kris shines in artistry...the ability to tweak a tune and present it in a way you haven't heard it before. I loved his "Heartless" like Randy did. I think Kris has a good chance to win it all and I don't think his looks are the reason.

Very happy with outcome.. Danny had to go, surprised he lasted so long. Very unoriginal, sounded like Michael Bolton whom I cant listen to for more than 30 seconds. Kris is now the winner as I think Danny's fans will vote for him.

Adam has very controlled vocals. I can recall only an incidence or two where he might have been off pitch, and then we all watched him rip out the ears pieces, so he knew. Kris is talented, but he has some technique issues he needs to work out. He reminds me of Jack Johsnon....

I still like to listen to Adam better (and watch as well)...I'll be voting for Adam.

I'm ecstatic that Kris is in the finale!!! Adam and Kris are the duo I was praying for. Can't wait til next Tues. KRIS FTW! BUT, I will be happy if Adam wins. Both are amazing!

Go Adam go! The amazing talent of Adam should win Idol now. Kris is a neat guy and he does have talent too but not like Adam! Adam all the way! Adam's truly a neat guy with a great personality and so very talented.

I was looking at all three of them last night when they were standing center stage and I thought how all of them worked so hard and deserved to be there. I hated to see any of them leave, but there can only be one winner.

I am a Lambert fan (GO Lambert!), however, I think they all did well. Kris put himself ahead of Gokey because of the one song he sang that was actually the best of the night.

Kind of wierd though because Gokey is consistantly good (except the scream) and I can't believe one or two great songs sent Kris ahead of him. Strange.

For me, Adam is exciting to watch singing. But I can't bear the tongue he flashes when singing. Why, is this a "norm" now in America? Is this normal? People just don't do that in public. What's if all children will follow such action and then we'd really degrade humanity to animal kingdom.

I am not exactly fond of Adams's style of singing but he has always shown an attitude that he is eager for a future in the music business. Kris and Danny were great and will go far in their careers but all in all I really believe Adam is the Idol winner that will go far.

Comparing Clay Aiken to Daughtry is silly. Daughtry has nearly the same sales (more than 4 million) with only two albums, while Aiken has had 5 albums. That doesn't make Aching (for what he does to your ears) a superstar or idol by any stretch of the imagination. Carrie Underwood is the only one to come from the show to have any decent album sales (2 albums and close to 10 million sales).

I've yet to sample an album from an Idol-ster that I would spend 50 cents downloading. I appreciate that Carrie is doing well, but Country isn't my thing.

I predict that none of the idols this year will do much. And Allison? Sorry, but rocker chics don't sell like pop chics. Haven't since Pat Benatar and Joan Jett. Look at Vixen, Lita Ford, Courtney Love, etc. Gwen Stefani is the closest I can think of to a "rocker" chic to make it.

What drives AI is not record sales anyway, but Nielson ratings and advertising (like Ford paying huge money for a singing commercial every week).

I don't know how I got sucked into watching this season (and muting the TV every time Paula opens her mouth for her non-opinion).

This year's show was a blatant push for one contestant. Adam is okay as a singer with his strength being an all around "entertainer". Our family watched and really got tired of Adam being showcased, closing the show the most often and just being touted as the winner over the past 4-5 weeks. I think voting next week won't matter as they will just announce that Adam is the winner.

Can't wait for Danny Gokey's first album. Also like Kris's creativity and will buy his first album as well.

I personally think that Kris should have been kicked off way before A-Noop Dog. This just shows you that this show is rigged. It should have Danny and Adam in the finals. I now no longer like Arkansas. Thanks Kris.

I really did hate to see Danny go last night. He has got a real talent for singing and a wonderful personality. I can't understand why some of the viewers thought he was so bad. I hope he still gets a recording contract, and I wish him the best of luck.
I will be pulling for Kris now he is from my home state, although Adam is good too.

You can find singers like Kris any day of the week. This is a quest to find something NEW! Danny has a unique powerful beautiful voice. Adam is weird and can only scream. oh please. Any Adam supporters are such suckers.

Gokey will be glad he does not have to submit to such antics as "Idol on Ice" as the winner will. Many AI runner ups have had better careers than some of the winners. At least he did not succumb to man polish – that right there makes him a winner.

Kris will win it all. He is the most talented, by far. Go Kris! I'm 63 years old and I'll be watching, and supporting, Kris next week.

i'm from kris hometown and i have been a adam fan since the beginning but he will be a star anyways – but i think kris and danny would have made a better finale – and if i would have had my way the finale would have been allison and danny – kris is very artistic and talented however, he said it best himself that his voice doesn't match up to everyone else – but he is musically inclined and has the total package so i'm happy if he wins as well

Kris is a "true American Idol". Adam on the other hand is a want -a-be rocker who I don't feel can carry a tune. I can't understand a word he sings. Go Kris!!!

I am very disappointed. I will be the first to say I have voted for Danny AND Kris all season. But when I had to choose Monday night one or the other, I had to vote for Danny. He is an all around better, more developed entertainer. Taking the whole season into consideration, he deserved to be in the finals. Paula's song choice doomed him for those who vote based on one performance. They gave Kris a well known song that has been a chart topper..and U2 is a sort of religion..so that's a giveaway... then they give Danny a song no one has ever heard!? It almost seems like a setup to sway the competition and votes. Anyway.. Danny would have given Adam a run for his money, it would have made for a tight competition. But...I will still come out and vote for Kris next week hoping that Simon's predictions for the winner are wrong!

I'm not real sure what makes some of you think that the only people that vote for Kris are teeny boppers. I'm 40 years old and work in a office where everyone is over 30. Every Tuesday night we all watch and vote. Kris is our pick and has been since the beginning. Adam does not appeal to some people just like Kris does not appeal to some. I prefer Adams singing in the Ford commercials (no in tune screaming involved).

The excitement of watching Danny every week on AI is gone. There will be no flutter in my heart with the anticipation of Danny singing next week. I cannot wait until Danny's CD comes out because I will be the first to buy one. I will watch AI next week but the excitement will not be there.

I read it was Kris, feeling sad for Kris, I started doing my happy dance and yelling, "I told you so, I told you so, did I tell you the last 2 standing would be Danny and Adam, I have been saying this for month's now"!...

Are you kidding me? Did anyone notice that Adam Lambert closed almost every single show? His face was plastered on Entertainment Weekly, Katy Perry Had his name embroidered on her cape.... duh? Do you think American Idol wants him to win? Lambert is someone that would be great to see on Broadway as far as selling real rock albums? I don't think so.... I think if American Idol had their winner chosen so long ago they shouldn't patronize the American public and keep other contestants on the show. They should just call it then and there. What a joke!

I am SO glad that Kris is in the top two and hope that he wins it all. I think Adam is great – but I think he should focus his efforts in the drama field.

Kris is the winner in our home. Three of the four of us in our household pick Kris over Adam. Two of the voters are ages 17 and 21–so that is a young crowd prospective on Adam. While Adam does have talent it is not someone we'd pay to see or buy his music. Kris Rocks! Gokey was on a downhill slide, it was time for him to go.

All Adam is doing now is Show-boating... he's got talent, but would any of you actually listen through a whole version of either song he sang tuesday night if it were on the radio. I would much rather listen to the performances of Danny and Kris on the radio that that of Adam. Danny should have made it through. but that's ok, he'll have better recording options and freedom to do what he wants as an artist. Now, I am pulling for Kris.

There seems to be a lot of poltics on this show. The fact that Simon got to pick Adam Lambert's song, the fact that Adam got to perform after the other guys, among other things, makes it obvious that the AI people want Adam to win – there's a lot of $$ involved in this show.

With that said, I think Adam does deserve to win and would be the most successful artist, but I don't think the show should be run in a way to influence the voters this way.

I voted for Kris and I am not a Teen or Tween....why does everyone say it was the teen/tween vote that supports him...I know grown men that think he is great and vote for him....I think everyone has underestimated his broad appeal. A tween/teen vote will only take you so far - he would have been long gone if they were the only ones voting for him. Gokey had a soulful voice, but did not appeal to me..he reminded me of one trick pony Taylor Hicks whom I also did not care for. He could sing but so can Kris and one song choice won't change that....whether good or bad...it was just Danny's time to go.

I was so shocked that Kris stayed instead of Danny! I really wanted Danny and Adam to be the last two standing, but that's what happens when you let America decide. At this point, I'm not sure who I want to win, I'm still getting over the fact that Danny is no longer in the competition!! What were ppl thinking? He is sooo talented, and his farewell song last night proved that. I was never really that impressed by Kris, yes he's talented but I was never really a huge fan. I think Adam is very talented, and he seems to be the public's favorite. May the best performer next week win!

If America is smart, Adam will win easily. He's clearly more talented than Kris. There's nothing at all about Kris that makes him stand out. Hopefully, the teeny boppers won't decide this. That would be a travesty.

I am angry at Idol and Ryan. Every special performer gets to be announced before and after they perform. Ryan did not do this on Jordan Sparks when she was finished her song. Big Insult as she was the best performer of the night. I also found it very insulting to Danny and Kris for Idol to allow that chick singer to ware that cape with Adams name on it.

I hope that Kris wins. He seems the best shot at giving America a true artist with Christian values that young America can role model after. I could truly see him as a Christian rock singer!

Being in the music industry, Adam has had this competition won since day 1. Cute doesn't count. Adam is an entertainer, and to have any staying power, you must be able to entertain. For example, Kate can't sing, but she has a gimmick. It works.

All of the last four are incredibly talented. All have had nights where they were not good...for all you adam fans...Ring of Fire was horrendous! i think that Kris is the most musically gifted and Danny had the most emotional vocal capabilities. Adam has the biggest personality (some equate this to stage presence, I am not in that camp). I do want to say that over the last four weeks the least varied performer has been Adam, and the judges have let him get away with it. If any of the other performers "did the cat in a blender screech" four weeks in a row Simon would be offering to pay for their plane fare home with each critique. For those of you that slam Kris for his lack of star power you should re-watch both his versions of Ain't no Sunshine and Come Together, soulful in instance one...funkalicious in instance two and all from a white guy from OK, who would have thunk it? You do not have to screech to command a stage! Adam needs to take it down a notch (ie Tracks of my Tears) and show he's not a one trick pony. Finally, the judges and producers need to back off, embroidered capes and getting to sing last every show and impassioned pleas for votes by Simon strikes me as overly biased, step back folks and let the guys sing!

Adam will lose because Kris and Danny fans will both vote for Kris. Adam is an either you-like-'em or you-don't-like-'em kind of performer, and frankly, I don't like him. Adam will not win and when he doesn't, that will provide the needed credibiility to the show.

I get a kick out of everyone saying that “Adam will lose” – Adam will “win” whether he “wins” American Idol or not. In fact, it is probably better if he does not win – let Kris have it and disappear in about a year or so. Adam’s talent will probably be better utilized as runner up. In fact, seems that in a lot of cases, the runner ups or “the loser” are in fact, “the winners”.

As for Kris getting all of Danny’s votes – I don’t know about that. My two favs were Danny and Adam. If Adam had gone, my vote would got to Danny and visa versa. People should remember that in giving Kris their “Danny” vote, they must believe he was better than Danny – which he isn’t. I guess it would be like being a Washington Captials fan and now suddenly routing for the Pittsburg Penguins because they beat them out of the playoffs – that is how I see it. If I were a Washington fan, I wouldn’t be lending my support to the one that beat them out. That is how this played out – we all knew Adam would be in the final. So, it was between Danny and Kris. Kris beat Danny out of the competition. As a Danny fan – I wouldn’t be supporting Kris to win.

I never thought Kris would beat out Danny. No doubt they can both sing, but I am in to really strong vocals, so actually after Allison ws voted out, I was done. But Danny boy...you can make people stand upand take notice and I am sad to see you go. I have been a big fan of this show since season 1 and this was by far the BEST season ever. Well, I'm pulling for Kris to win the competition. Compared with Adam, Kris is definitely more talented all-around musically, having the ability to write his own music in addition to being a good instrumentalist. At the very least, I can see him having a successful career as an arranger or composer, as well as being a successful vocalist and instrumentalist.

Adam, on the other hand, is headed to broadway with his buddy Clay Aiken. Adam has a screechy voice, my lawnmower produces a noise far more tolerable than that of Adam's singing. Adam does not have potential to sell records as a pop artist, he'll end up singing show tunes, which is a perfectly fine career, but not one that American Idol is looking to turn out. They want a rock or pop artist, not a broadway singer.

Danny's performances were sub-par at best. He started off weak in both songs (out of pitch, etc.) and recovered toward the middle both times, finishing stronger than he started, but I think he should've been voted off weeks ago.

The singer with the most potential (as far as a pop music career was concerned) was already voted off. Allison was a very talented vocalist and had that true stage voice that rock and pop artists aspire to have. Was disappointing to see her go last week.

I think that adam should have been voted off because i just cant stand the screaming and yelling when he comes on its so annoying and i think that danny should have stayed he was the best one on there and kris too. Danny and Kris should of been the final two

Calling all Danny Gokey fans! Vindicate his going home by voting for Kris in the finals. I'm a Gokey fan and was really upset to see him go. He and Kris should be the ones battling it out for the title next week. What sweet revenge if the annointed Glambert doesn't win the title. His fans have been spreading anti-Gokey blogs for the past weeks because they don't want an Adam-Gokey finals, so they are ecstatic right now as they see Kris as a lesser threat than Danny. So...vote, vote for Kris.

To all you people who say "I'm not going to watch Idol anymore", get over it. The contestant you happen to think is the best may not be the contestant other people like. I believe Adam has been superior throughout this competition and I think Kris has a nice voice but does not compare to Adam's. Like anyone else, this is my own personal opinion. I voted for Adam 1 time, but my brother voted for Kris 200 times. I guess we will just have to wait and see, but I'm sure not going to sulk if it doesn't go my way. I know who's album I would buy, and that's all that matters to me. You know the top 4 will all come out with albums, and who knows, I will probably buy all of them even though Adam is my favorite.

There is NO WAY Kris should have been in there, he sucks! Danny is so much better then him and Adam is 10 times better and Adam better win! I don't even know how Kris made it this far! All the little teens are voting for his looks and NOT his ability!

America decided when Allison was voted off last week. Rockers vs. Pop/R&B. All of Danny's votes now move to Kris. Adam will have a very nice lounge act in Vegas after Idol.

I just don't feel like Kris is great. There is nothing about him that really stands out to me. His voice is good, but I know a lot of good singers. I don't know – Gokey was unique – he was fun. Adam is great too so I hope he wins... I'm so sick of Idols winning and then falling off the face of the earth like I know Kris will do if he wins.

What is this obsession with Adam all about? If his antics, overblown ego and mediocre rock star wannabe voice are what Americans call entertainment, I've lost all faith and feel for the truly talented singers out there.

The good news is that Adam will be a one-album wonder that fades into oblivion after the same people who vote him the winner move on to their next flavor of the day. A Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood he is not!

BTW, I like Chris and think he's a well-grounded guy and all, but he is not an amazing singer. Danny is in the same boat. Both are very talented in their own elements, but they would never have the star and staying power of the former above mentioned Idols.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The judges seemed to be directing America toward a Gokey/Adam finale. I have liked Kris since the beginning. He's low-key, but has a lovely voice and a distinctive style. Not as showy, perhaps, but just as good. I'm sure the producers will see to it that Adam wins, but, at least Kris made it this far. I also hope beyond reason that Kara will not be back for another season. Her presence was not needed. She added nothing to the show..just slowed things to a crawl. Everything has been a little off this season and I believe it's her.

I am super excited about the finale. I knew Adam would be in it and I was really rooting for Kris. Adam is an awesome performer and singer, there is no denying that. Kris has natural, raw talent and I think he has a really good shot at this. I hope he wins it all. He is sleek, sexy, a great singer, mellow, and overall a good person. He TOTALLY deserves to win.

Whoever says that Adam is more talented than Kris is nuts. How many times has Adam picked up an instrument and played. How many times has Adam sang without SCREAMING...zero. How many times has Adam performed without leather and mascara...ONE! Kris is a far more talented musician than Adam although some think Adam can sing better, but I beg to differ. Kris will bring home most of the Danny vote and is a lock to win now that the person who he was splitting the vote with is gone.

I find it interesting that they tried to show during Adam's "going home" to San Diego, that he was really popular. Why in the world they brought him to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar was beyond me! What they didn't tell you was that only about 500 people showed up for that... not the 3,000 that was expected. (And I'm only speaking about his apperance on base... not out in town in San Diego). The last thing most Marines want to be doing is going to see a less than manly person performing on their base. They should have had his "homecoming" in the Hillcrest District of San Diego.

I think the show needs to transform itself into a TOP THREE Idols ending. The top three are usually different from each other. But the winner should be announced AFTER the first year of them out there, with new CD's, etc. Doesn't that make more sense? You find out who the real American Idol is AFTER America has time to fully grasp them and hear them on the radio. Then they could start out the new season with the announcement of who won from last year... and it would keep everyone's interest (maybe) throughout the year. I don't know... but it's getting a little old. We all see Adam is a good singer... but ok. That's it. What else is knew. They need a new twist on the process.

I'm 50 and I think Kris is more marketable than Danny. He has an appeal to the younger crew, who in all honesty buy most of the music. I think Adam will take it though, but I think those two and Allison will have great careers.

Paula's song choice did Danny In,along with the negative comments by the judges. Wake up America. Kris can not sing!. Danny can take any song and give a different tune. I was so Disappointed. I will not watch next week because i could care less who wins. I sure hope Adam does though because he has a better voice.

I liked Gokie but it's been known for awhile that Adam is unbeatable. Adam really is the most talented so he deserves to win.

I think Kris and Adam are two different kind of singers, Kris is a John Mayer type and Adam, an Axel Rose type. I feel Kris has more market ability compared to Adam. Adam is over the top and what you see is what you get, yes is a great performer but that's it. Kris is very talented and those of you talking up Adam clearly have never studied of been involved with music, between the two Kris has more talent and originality than Adam. It is not the "teeny boppers" voting for him. Hopefully there is a huge upset next week!!!

I wasn't surprised that Danny didn't make it, it has been rigged all along, this young man has alot of talent and that's what it's about, Adam also has a great voice and Kris well I feel sorry for him he "CAN'T SING PEOPLE" and you know it, I blame the judges for making him think that he had talent, in case you people don't know what talent means here is the meaning: a person or people with an exceptional ability, still good luck to both Adam and Kris....

And therein lies the rub.

This is supposed to be a show that showcases amateurs, not professionals who have had (and still do have) a healthy career prior to joining the contest.

It's time for this garbage to be taken off the air. I sick to death of this show. It should have be cancelled after it's first Show.

Ok not gonna lie, Im a HUGE Adam fan. Who cares if he screams? I keep saying this and am starting to sound liek a broken record but screaming can be and IS considered musical. I mean: Robert Plant, Maynard James Keenan, Steve Tyler, etc etc are all wonderful musicians and ALL screamers. The only hiccup I have here is it is getting a little old. Lay off the screaming and show us some power ballads, or even some heavier songs w/ no high pitch screaming. It's becoming VERY hackneyed and almost his crutch to stand out. I mean, can we imagine an album of his with every song having the same high pitched scream? I guarantee you it will get old quick. Save it for those few climactic moments in songs that call for it. Or even during a soft spot in a song to develop some contrast or conflict in the song. but please, PLEASE don't do the same squeal in every song, no matter how impressive and artistic it is. My two cents

Kris is nicknamed Blandy McBlanderson in my home. He's consistently boring, not at all distinctive, weak-voiced compared to the others that will be touring, and the pop market is quite full right now of adult contemporary, meek-voiced, jeans & tees crooners. I don't get the appeal. The final should definitely have been between the technique master Adam and timbre champ Danny.

Kris just plain outworked Danny. The finale is as it should be. Can Kris beat Adam? No way, but it's gonna be fun as heck watching it anyway.

I just heard Kris is in the final. Thats exactly why I stopped watching the show after Allison got voted off. If Chris wins, I will never watch Idol again. Its a shame he in the final, when so much better talent was voted off before him. Sorry Chris, but your not all that.

Everyone has their taste. Danny is soulful. Adam is a rocker. Kris, not Chris, is a talented alternative type. They are all great singers. For those out there that express negative feelings toward these guys need to keep their opinions to themselves. I for one am a Gokey fan, and am sorry to see him go. I don't care for Adam's scream. I personally think that has gotten old. Good luck with your future Danny.

If this show was truely about singing and not popularity, then Kris Allen would not still be in this competition. Obviously he has a fan base of teenagers and little girls that are allowed to vote. Adam Lambert has the best voice on this show, but that has never mattered in the past.

Kris' singing is perpetually (that's a big adult word meaning for lots of time, 'k) wavering up and down from where it should be on almost every note he sings. Randy would likely call it pitchy, Dog.

I want to see an after-the-fact competition with Idol competitors that were hyped within their respective shows and went on to be mediocre 'superstars.' Justin Guarini v. Blake Lewis v. Taylor Hicks v. Sanjaya v. Kris Allen would be AWESOME!!

Gokey has a future career doing what he does and is going to benefit massively from this exposure.

I watch Idol each year but this year it seems totally arranged for an Adam win. Cowell stated on Ellen show "I'd have to put my money on Adam." Then he said TO ADAM on Tuesday night, "That's why America is going to vote for YOU tonight." A little subliminal suggestion??? Then he praised Adam's innovativeness in changing his song's arrangement but said Danny shouldn't have tried to touch the arrangement of his song. Only Adam can be innovative? I like Adam but after a while it's all the same bat-like screeching...like one continuous, identical song no matter what the music style. Plus, he's awful goth and dark - not the kind of guy you'd want at your dinner table. Danny was talented and my vote to win – versatile, different, all-American and someone I WOULD want at my dinner table. Poor Kris – what chance does he have going up the against the pre-chosen one? Adam is just going to get tangled up in his hair and trip him up. Danny and Kris will be successful despite it all, though.

Of course Adam will win. America is obviously ready for another Liberace.

Get real...It should have been Allison and Adam in the finals. Jokey Gokey should have been out weeks ago. I can't imaging Kris winning. I guess based on what we have to deal with now it's Adam.

Who cares, Aam is the only real artist on the show this year. Kris making it in reminds me of Katherine McPhee, just a good old American who attracts nice little girls whose parents are watching over who they vote for. If Kris wins, it'll be because of these pathetic overbearing conservative moms.

I think it would have been a better showdown had Danny made it instead of Kris. Though I like Kris, he does not have the same showmanship and strength of voice that Danny does. Danny would have surely stepped up to the challenge. I think the Adam vs Kris scenario will be an all in all blowout.

Are the judges like political "spin" machines? Why are their judges? They don't vote. Why not call them critiquers'? Better yet, why not call them and tell them don't come back next year. Ryan run's the show beautifully and he deserves that credit. The right people are going to the finals. Of course part of this is a popularity contest. That's what the commercial music business is built around. Do people still embrace Britney because she is a good singer? Do people flock to see Madonna because she is a good singer? It is nice when both popularity and talent converge and a star is born. That is what this final is all about. Making a star - someone with popularity from a marketing standpoint and born talent. Adam and Kris are the perfect idol finalists. So, the most popular talent will win. External factors should be kept out of this competition. Sorry your wife died Danny. It is devastating...but don't pimp her memory to pull on America's heartstrings. You're singing is unique, it is not good. With all the stress adults feel in their daily lives, it's good to tune into an entertainment "get lost in it" relaxing show. Danny's unfortunate experience should not be forced on America. Yes there are people who strive on empathy. They can watch soap operas. But AI is entertainment...So a long post..but...get rid of the judges unless a purpose is identified for them and make them be consistant in their critiques...Paula: "except for a bum note Kris, you did a respectable job".....Hey..Paula, Kara, and Mr. King of Pitchiness...what about Danny's famous bum note at the end of his song two weeks ago...let's level the playing field.

Why do people keep saying that Danny Gokey has stage presence and showmanship?

From what I've seen, he looks clumsy when performing.

i didn't read through all of the 500 thoughts here – and to be honest, it really doesn't matter at this point – but here are my thoughts:

1. i thought for sure kris would have gone home before allison, but i do get the last three.

2. i thought for SURE that kris was gone this week. but we've seen this time and time again on AI; i wasn't surprised. disappointed, sort of, but not very surprised.

3. with those thoughts out, history has also proven that most of the final 3-5 contestants are more successful than the actual winners of the show. AI hasn't been about skill for a very long time; it's a popularity, see-who-can-get-the-most-callers game, and that's that. but anyway, i'm settled that danny will have a successful career without the AI title. i know there were more than a few antsy A&R guys watching and waiting to connect with and sign danny. he's going to be fine.

i read someone's comment that danny was "boring". i think people confuse drama and antics with solid skill. dude was consistent – period. the AI watchers – or at least i did – knew that he was going to come correct each week, do his thing, and sit down. when it comes to buying albums and CDs in this day and age, i'd rather purchase a project from someone who has proven the worth of the entire listening experience, not just a song or two or a varied change with each track.

i do wish the last two the best, though. it's anybody's game now (because again, it is just that – a game), but i won't be watching.

Adam has been a far better singer and entertainer than anyone else the entire season. Most of the people who wouldn't vote for him are just homophobes and from the midwest and south (truly racist and bigoted areas). Danny just got by with the sympathy votes since he lost his wife. He is soooooooo boring. Of course Kris is cute and has the whole package but not as good as Adam....

When you have such a highly talented final five it changes the scenario. I don't think it is so shocking that Kris overcame Danny because Kris kept getting better, week after week, song after song, until I found myself appreciating what he had done more than Danny. Danny began slipping a bit in the last few weeks. OK, his performances have been superb but he had moments that were questionable in the end and Kris did not. That is what made the difference. When it came to the final choices....Kris made the winning move. I actually was hoping it would be Allison and Adam in the end...but this works for me. none of the top five lost.

I'm a fan of all three, and I'm OK with the finale being a Kris/Adam showdown, but I was hugely shocked at the outcome. My evaluation:

Adam's arrangement of "One" was innovative and somehow disturbing. What worked for "Ring of Fire" failed abysmally with U2. "Dream On" proved to me that Steven Tyler's pipes are made of solid gold, and that no matter how good you are, no one can sing Aerosmith.

Danny's first song doomed him. It was hokey, dated, not in his wheel house, and it was like Paula tried to drill him so he couldn't win. "You are so beautiful" was touching and traditional Danny, all gospel and soul. You may love him (me) or hate him, but the kid can flat out sing.

Kris' version of "Apologize" bored me, when it didn't make me wince. I love the kid that dared to dream of Don Henley and sang touching, poignant songs. "Apologize" works for One Republic because of amazing vocals and enough angst to drown an army of pre-teens. Kris doesn't have the punch or roundness to carry it off. Song #2 proved to me the kid can sing, and I liked his version WAY better than Kanye's.

So no one had their best night...and much as I wish Danny made the final based on what he's done so far in the show, the truth is that Tuesday he sang one crappy old song and one great old song. He's not particularly contemporary and I think that's why he's going home.

Still gonna buy his record though!

Prediction: Doesn't matter who wins the final, Adam is going to have a tremendous career, sell out shows, and be around forever just because there's no one on the radio with the kind of voice and energy he has. He's unique. That's what this show is all about...

but not anywhere else

Kris should win – he is the only contestant who has gotten consistenly better every episode. Lambert is an over-the-top screechy socialite posing as a "singer". Anyone who knows anything about REAL rock music can see right through him...that being said, I don't think there are many people who watch AI who know anything about real rock anyways.

Adam all the way... he is fresh, he can sing, he can entertain and most of all...... he comes across as a calm, sweet person with a rocker look. He makes me do replay when he sings!
P.S. I am 57 years old and love this kid's talent.

I have been a fan of Danny's since the beginning and I have voted every week. I believe that Danny will have a career in spite of what happened last night. I am not as excited about watching the finale.
I might just watch the last 10 minutes. I am disappointed.

Why are there judges? Because they decide who stays and goes not the votes, specifically Simon. The votes are meaningless. I've known this for years which is why I was knew that the final would be Kris vs. Adam long before the results show aired.

Do you really think they would leave these choices up to the sheeple of America with that much money on the line, think again.

I have never cast a single vote and yet I have always picked the winner weeks before the final.

If you really listen to Simon he practically tells you whats going to happen.

I agree. Paula screwed him with her choice/where did she come up with it-Danny could do nothing else with it. I knew right after it-Only luck would save him. He really had the talent, but Kris is not bad.

1. i am THRILLED that adam and kris are in the finally. they are both very talented, as in they are both creative and great singers, but we also have an idea of what they are going to sing when they do their albums. adam will kinda be like a gerard way from my chem and hopefully put out a rock album and kris is more like a jason mraz if i had to compare them to anyone but they are still very much their own artist. i think this will be the greatest finally to date cause they are both very different but amazing. i'd be happy with either one winning.

2. danny is a good singer but he doesnt have the creativity as the other two do. when he got to choose his own song, something that would showcase the kind of singer he is or will be, he chose something lame. its a pretty song but save it for the wedding singers. i liked him in the beginning but he started to bore me as the weeks went on and i started to realize that he isnt unique and doesnt have that spark about him. he reminds me of a nick lache.

im definitely excited for next week.

I think this will be a good match-up! I'm kind of surprised that everyone was so shocked to see Danny go. Paula's song choice was terrible and ultimately doomed him. I see a lot of people here didn't like Kris's second song choice, but the judges loved it and show reviewers (blogs/articles/etc) did as well. I personally thought it was great. This show is kind of me and my friends' guilty pleasure (we are 25) and we love Adam and Kris. I think people underestimate Kris's fan base. His vocals are not the absolute best, but he has appeal, and the ability to take a song and make it his own. (Heartless was not the same format as the Fray's, it was MUCH better) The thing about Kris that is appealing to more people is that he has been getting better and BETTER throughout the show, more interesting, showing more vocal talent, whereas Danny peaked in the beginning! Danny has become consistently more boring.

And for those who think the show is rigged, Taylor Hicks is proof that it is not. The judges never really liked him, and he was a major failure financially, as they knew he would be. Katy Perry wore "Adam Lambert" on her cape because he did an interview and said they she was his favorite new artist and he wanted to meet her, and she said likewise he was her favorite contestant. Contrary to the conspiracy theories, Simon did not PAY her to wear it.

I'm excited for next week, whoever wins, the top 4 this year were amazing and have great futures! I feel like the top 4 of Season 8 were better than anyone I've seen in the past 2 or 3 seasons.

I liked Kris since Hollywood week, something about his diverse style that attracted me, it may have been "Country" week that sealed it for me, he was able to pull that off while not his real niche. He is just plain easy to listen too and enjoy pretty much everything he does.

America could not have gotten it more wrong with this finale. It clearly should have been Adam against Danny in the finals.This final will be about as anti-climatic than Carrie Underwood over Bo Bice. In the long run, most of the top five will be signed to record deals and have great futures ahead. The finals would have been great to watch like last year. Now its just a week's worth of hype until Adam is crowned American Idol champ.

Whoever wrote this article is smoking crack – America knew from the first show with the Top 10 that Kris & Adam were going to be in the finale...go back and watch the shows and you'll see. Danny is not very multi-faceted. He can sing one type of song and that's it and he just counts on his screaming high notes to carry the song. It has been getting more and more painful to listen to Danny. Kris and Adam are both extremely talented and have been the only ones on the show to be able to take any song and add their own twist. If you look at iTunes, you'll see that Kris, Allison and Adam have by far the most downloads. I think it will be a tight race next week – can they both win?!

I typically dont comment on this kind of stuff but cleary I have to after reading some of these posts.....I am thrilled that Kris made it into the final. Why is it such a shock though? This guy clearly has the most talent out of all the contestants. You ask why, he can play guitar, play the piano and still sing I believe with a terrific voice. Have you ever tried to sing and play an instrument? Plus his remake of "Heartless" I gurantee was the best performance of the season. No, he didnt scream his heart out like Adam, but the re-made version of that song was AWESOME. In my opinion, all Adam can do is sing, screaming at best. Yes he has some pipes but truly what makes him different, his theatrics on stage? Well that is why we have Broadway. He is a great theatrical performer, rock star all I can do is laugh at that. I loved Danny, he did have a awesome voice and quite frankly way better than Adam's. It was sad for me to see him go but I do agree with some previous post about the show being all about "Adam" Simon has his head so far up Adam's you know what it is almost disturbing, and all the other judges except for Randy of course think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread – PLEASE people! I know for a fact that I am not the only one who is constantly cheesed out by every one of Adams performances. I will finish with this......I gurantee you that if Kris does not win American Idol he will still be very successful in the music industry, on the other hand I am sure Adam will win because that is what American Idol wants, but he will be like Taylor Hicks that will really be a nobody come years from now. I truly hope Kris holds nothing back and completely knocks Adam on his butt. I would love to see it. I truly wonder why they never show us the results....you want to know why because it is a lie. It's been a great year for American Idol. My feeling is that recorded music these days has become so constantly available (radio, TV, satellite, MP3's, IPOD's, etc.) that we are no longer impressed with great recordings. However, live performances are now so rare that Idol has become THE event for the entire music industry – see how the stars now flock to this show, both to watch and perform. Good for Idol and for us all.

As such, I don't really get excited about the future careers of the show's contestants. To me, they'll just get lumped in with the rest of the industry's performers, and I may hear a song or two from some of them down the road. The real excitement of Idol is the unifying experience of the live show! I've enjoyed this year and look forward to the next group of no-names that will show us their skills.

At some point, the music industry will realize that the live show format works, is exciting, will sell ads, and should be used not just as a coming-out party for the neophytes, but as a great showcase for established stars. Right now, Idol and the awards shows are the only times we get to see live performances.

I am an Adam fan so I am SO SO happy. I do have a question though. The whole One/Bono/Africa thing. Kinda makes me think they have used Adams popularity to start work on their fundraising with that song because they know it will bring in lots of money. Anybody else think this or am I way off?

I don't know why it's such a surprise that Kris is going to the final. All three guys are equally talented (although Adam is a bitter pill to swallow sometimes), and someone had to go.

Besides, Kris really did bring originality to his performances, which is what the judges kept pushing all the contestants to do throughout the contest.

If only 1 million votes separated Adam and Kris, then seemingly heir apparent, Adam, had better turn it out. Kris will win.

I think it's interesting that everyone is saying that Kris is getting the teeny bopper votes. Hello, so is Adam. I think Kris is very talented and can really take a song and make it his own, which is what the judges are always asking for. I usually agree with Simon completely, but I just don't understand the fascination with Adam. All he does is scream and squeal the songs and it's all very musical theatre, which is what they judges say they don't want. I don't get it. Good luck Kris.

Not a real shock to see kris and adam up there at the end. I do NOT agree with it at all. Danny has much better pitch,range,etc. You all should be glad Danny didn't make it last night, because if he would have, next weeks A I would have been a REAL shocker!!! America is not ready for the likes of Danny, as you can see the moral decay all around us. No, we vote in people who play up to the teens and other half-wits, that don't see real talent when they hear it. We will never see a person who makes it on their talent, just people who kiss-up to America,to get to the top. ( I take that back, I guess there have been one or two that have great talent, and not a set of lips that can fit the back end of what the majority thinks it wants).Maybe Danny can make it next year??

It stinks. Danny has an incredible voice and should be in the final. Kris’ second song last night was terrible – it makes you wonder if it’s fixed just because he’s the one who also got the “save” a few weeks ago. If the voting next week truly goes to the best singer, Adam is going to slaughter Kris in the final.

Kris making it to the final is ludicrous!!! If you want to hear music like his all you have to do is go to any karoake bar. I thought the finale would be Adam and Danny from week 1. Danny was soulful and Adam is just plain awesome. Kris puts me to sleep. Maybe I'll sleep through next weeks show. All of Danny's voters shoud vote for Adam next week!! Kris needs to go back to the teeny boppers at home!

This is the right final two!! Adam is not only extremely talented and versatile, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. He also has an undeniable star quality and charisma. Kris is less attention grabbing, but his subtle style also speaks volumes. He's creative, artistic, and can sing well. Never heard him sing off pitch. I still root for Adam for the win, even though both guys are so talented.

the final 2 results prove that america collectively gets it right when it matters better than the judges just like when they voted for cook over archuleta last year even though simon thought archuleta was much better. gokey simply wasnt good enough on wed to make it to the final. he deserved to go. also adam's theatrics (pretending to be in emotional pain and screaming finish) are beginning to get old, so he finished in the bottom two. kris will likely be american idol due to his solid vocals, musical dexterity and genuine humility, even though the judges will be shocked.

I am on the fence with Adam.. Because if he wins I don't believe he will be able to sing the music he wants to... Bot overall he should.. he is far more entertaining than Kris or Danny. He did not start out as my favorite because I went by his looks.. which I commend him for not changing to please some people... the nail polish still gets me... but he can really really sing.. he is original.. and keeping it real.... he did not scream on all his songs. Remember Motown week..... Adam is just something AI has not really had...he is a true rocker.. he leans more to hard rock than soft rock.. Either you like that genre of music or you don't. We've had winners in all genres: pop, soft rock, R& B and country... Now it's time for hard rock...!!!!

I am disappointed with the results. I don't believe Danny Gokey should have went home. I give credit to Kris, he is a good
singer but, I do not agree that he should have been in the final two.
Although American gets to vote, I still believe the judges should have final input on who moves into the last round. I don't believe that millions of boy crazy teenage girls that have crushes on the contestants should have the final vote.

Kris must have watch the show Taking The Stage on MTV and copied off that girl Mia becuase that girl did the same song by Kanye West heartless and she played it with her guitar also.

Right along Adam has reminded me of Elvis Presley – not so much the bumps and grinds of the Ed Sullivan Show that was so over the top but certainly the bedroom eyes and curled lip. Yes he can sing, but sex appeal gets votes too. That bad boy look is great on camera. Danny is a sweetheart and a great singer but a bit of a geek..
And Kris has the look of a young Brad Pitt. They can all sing but that something extra is what tips the scales.
Allison reminds me of Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz. I really thought she would make the finals. We will see a lot more of Allison and Adam. The other two??? I probably couldn't pick out in a crowd but they will sell records because they can sing.

I believe that the judges were genuinely surprised to see Danny go for several reasons and what we witnessed this season with all the contestants was nothing short of incredible talent.

Danny possesses a wonderful singing voice, he talented and smart. He is technically trained with his music degree so he is able to arrange music and can see the bigger picture in this industry. I believe he has staying power and has a broader appeal to many age brackets. And even though Danny was sent home, I think he is ok with that... You can see he is happy and he will be just fine.

Danny went home but he is definitely not gone...

I gotta agree with Nota_fan. I can't believe Kris won over Danny. I think Kris is good but not that good. He should have been voted off before Allison (she was the better talent). I will not be watching next week b/c I know who is going to win. I am truly disappointed how this season turned out.

Yahoo!! One more week of this year's American Idol. It's been fun, and very entertaining! Awwwwwhhhh, cum on, we could use a Mick Jagger from the U.S. couldn't we? Adam's a lot of fun, and seriously crazy about giving a wild ride! I've been watching to get some new entertainment each week....How about you? I like the screeching, along with his beautiful, melodic vocal abilities, tongue waggleing, nice smile, great outfits, silly looking black fingernail polish, (whatever....).....I don't wear the stuff, (a bit much for me...) Ha!
Adam is a young man who will come into his own the only way he knows how.....Judgement aside, I think he is smarter than some are giving him credit for. Kindness rules!

Judges...I just don't know what to say..... I don't think it is imperitive for you to banter on the way you do... It's annoying to say the least and just might cause viewers to be too exasperated to bother watching. You do have a mature audience watching as well. I guess you personify the potential for self absorbed industry leaders to be a pain in the behind. Yes, I'm a little disapointed. Do you think perhaps the show could be interesting enough without the strange and childish bantering? I think there is a way....

It makes me realize that people are missing what the show is REALLY about when things like Danny getting voted off. It is about the BEST talent not whom you like the best.

I am SOOOO happy that Kris is in the finale!!! From the very beginning, he was my favorite that I thought wouldn't win. Not because he didn't deserve it, but because the Adam-Danny thing was so overstated. I was really afraid that Kris' talent would get overshadowed by them. I am a fan of all three...I think they're all talented, but Danny started slipping a few weeks ago and Kris took that opportunity to surge to the forefront.

Kris is extremely talented (I don't know what some of you are listening to) and humble, but commanding on stage. When it's just him and his guitar, it's magical! And, it's not teeny-boppers voting for him...I'm a 30-year old mother of 2 and I'm dialing my fingers off!!! Besides, I think most Danny fans will vote for Kris. The Adam-Danny rivalry has been so played up, most Danny fans really don't like Adam. I think they're coming our way to keep Adam from winning.

I am so happy for Kris and his family...he really deserves this and if Kris Allen Nation has anything to say about it, he will be the next American Idol! GO KRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see Danny go..unfortunately it was a week late he should have been sent home for his lame duet and complete train wreck performance of Dream On 2 weeks ago...Im still voting for Allison..!

Kris is a nice little fellow with a pleasant voice, not spectacular,
just pleasant, and forgettable.

Adam is a talented/spectacular performer – star quality – an entertainer... he "owns the stage" with his presence, unforgettable.

Audiences want to be entertained, not put to sleep.

Obviously this is a popularity contest. Kris is a good singer and he will have a good career, but the best two are really Danny and Adam and one of them deserve the American Idol title. I think the judges SHOULD have something to say about who gets kicked off ...especially at this point in the contest. They are the professionals...not the little girls who voted for Kris because he's cute. Danny is the best singer AND if I may add he's also very good looking. But he should be the American Idol because of his very unique very beautiful singing voice. Adam is really good too but not unique like Danny. It should not be left up to these teenage girls that obviously voted off the wrong guy! Something like this is too important to be left to up to 10 and 12 year olds to decide!!!!

Viewers are the winners here. Don't get caught up in the actual Idol winner. It is really not that kind of show. This show is a definite springboard to launch a new wave/brand/package of artists and so many this season are very entertaining and will do very well for themselves. This formula for a program is A++.

The suprise look on Kris face is what American Idol is about. The vote lets us know the results are what Americans believe The Idol should be ,a true American Idol. Not a professional just a young guy from Arkansaw

People shouldn't be so shocked about Kris getting more votes than Gokey. I mean, think about it- the vast majority of Idol voters are 'tween girls. They don't vote based on who has the best voice- they vote based on "who's the cutest." Get real.

Not to mention the fact that even if Gokey is a technically "better" singer than Kris Allen, that doesn't erase the fact that Gokey's voice sounds like Michael Bolton, and you can't get any less hip than that! Just what America needs, an idol who's singing style is straight out of circa-80s-soft rock/R&B. Yuck. Go Kris and Adam!

Based solely on the performances this week I believe Adam is lucky to be in the final. Adam is easily the most talented performer in the comitition but he needs to do more than scream out those incredible high notes. Enough Already!!

I am not surprised to see Kris in the A.I. finale. It is a classic David vs.Goliath story. However, I term the finale the Artist vs. the Performer. Adam has trmemndous stage presence, charisma, and amazing vocal control. But honestly, I believe Adam is a facade. He is no musician. Adam is a well trained actor with mad vocals, a front man diva. He is no Artist. If Adam wins...He will be a fad of a musician without someone else writing and guiding him. Adam will end up back in theater acting and singing someone elses music. Now Kris! There is an musician. Props to the man who can be true and allow his genius in making someone else's song something original and genuine. He has a future in music; recall Jaime Fox only offered one person a opportunity to make a recoed together, Kris. Slash said Adam would be the only one he would consider allowing a GnR song to. Because he sounds more like Axel. duh! A.I. advisors had a conspiracy. They need Adam to win to keep the show relevant!
Both can sing, they have different styles, and I am sorry A.I. It is more than a singing competition. It is about musicianship, and Kris is the obvious choice!

Anyone who is upset about Danny's departure need not blame the voters, nor assume the show is fixed. IMHO Adam and Kris sang 2 songs that showcased both thier talent and relevance to the industry. HOWEVER Paula "stuck in the 80's" Abdul doomed him by picking a song NO ONE ever heard of. I understand why she picked a Terrence Trent Darby song but why that b-side track. When he could have sang "Wishing Well" or "Sign Your Name" But of course Paula Abdrool had to pick a sing with Dancing being the subject. I feel for Danny.

As for one going to go farther in their career than the other, you have to remember they are in different genres of music. On A.I. they all have to sing the different theme genres...disco, r&b, etc but when their own careers get started they will choose what they do and will do well.

I love how everyone assumes that when someone gets eliminated that that person's votes will automatically go to someone else. Um, hello? Do you honestly think every Danny fan is going to be motivated enough to vote for either Kris or Adam if Danny was their only favorite to win? I know if Adam had gotten eliminated, I would definitely not be voting anymore. You people have a very skewed sense of logic.

America knew it would be Kris and Adam? Ummmmmm.......Kris was in the bottom 3 for several weeks in a row.

I am thrilled that America stepped up to the plate. Kris Allen is the full package (all around talent, personality and morals) This is what the title of an "American Idol " should be. I am happy his long journey has brought him this far. God Bless America!

Allison and Danny got the best vocals in this season though I think
Allison is ever better. Their voices not only have strong powerful
rock side, also have soft side which can touch your heart.
Their vocal qualities are much better than tthe final 2.

The show backers and judges know who got what votes and they knew if Danny and Adam went up against each other there was a good chance that Danny could have won this year. So they made Kris win so that Adam could win this year. Kris is cute but his singing is flat same notes to every song he sings. Reminds me of Ruben he had the same problem and were did he wind up when he won.

I am 34 years old and voted for Kris over 100 times in the 2 hours. Am I lame? Yes. I just didn't want Danny in the finale. I knew Adam would make it. Kris is the only one that sings the type of music I like and would listen to.

I can't believe people are always claiming that the show is rigged. Adam & Kris are my 2 favorites. It seems perfectly reasonable to me that they are the final 2. I didn't enjoy Danny's performances at all.

And people... it's not "screaming" if it's in-tune. What Danny did at the end of Dream On was a horrible tuneless scream. What Adam does it to hit long, high notes.

It scares me that all of the wholesome, high-buckle shoe-wearing, Sunday-dress-wearing Quakers (you know what you are) that voted for Danny (I liked him too, miles better than Kris) are going to throw their votes behind Kris now out of a myopic, bigoted fear of Adam for some small-minded reason.

I would have preferred to see an Allison / Adam Lambert match up but now just wait for the blockbuster finish. My formula describing the final results is 75% of the votes for Gorky going to Kris ( I doubt if many of the Gorky fans would vote for Adam. This should put Kris over the top and into the win.

Adam's only hope is to put his spin on one of Gorkey's previous songs and to put some emotion into it without the screaming ( I know he can). – Kris has been steady, Adam is a tested performer ... it really doesn't matter to me who wins ... I'll be buying Allison's first CD.

i loved the way they named kris before sending danny home.
all the romantics are sad about danny but at this stage of the competition, they are all top of the crop no doubt about it. my choice is adam as he is polished and refined and ready to step out there. kris is really what i could call a dark horse contestant as nobody would of guessed he'd get this far...but he did and he is very deserving at this stage. my vote will go for adam tho...love, love this man's ability to be unpredictable and gutsy. most of the audience that cannot handle his style are predictable too...

here in this country, there were alot of people who were too scared to vote for obama and for them? they are comfortable with repetition and predictability...i rather embrace change and progression and have no fears with regards to those circumstances.
no matter who wins...i will be buying adam's album.

Danny Gokey has a good voice but he does not have any real music talent. Kris is awesome just like the judges would say he would take a song and put his own twist that is talent. Danny would be a good singer but we would forget about him month after AI season is over. they had compared Danny to Michael McDonald early in the season. when I would listen to Danny sometimes it was like I was Paul Rudd in the 40 year old virgin when they would just play the same song everytime. that might be a little harsh but AI is not just about singing talent you have to be an artist and kris is an artist. his arrangments were so crazy you would remember his performances. aint got no sunshine was awesome and this last week. his preformance of heart less is way better then the orginal. that says alot about kris. Adam that guy is out of this world his range is amazing. he could pull of being the next freddy mercury. he has stage presents he can sing and i know his concerts will be 100 times better then Dannys.

I don't hate Adam. For God sake. Its a singing contest, or its saposta be. Now its a pop Contest.. They give us so little great shows on T.V. now days people get so wraped up in it.! yes even me. Danny and Allison should have been the last two standing. I wonder How many people on here who love Adam so would buy his cd?, or go see him Live and pay 60 to 150.00 for a ticket. Not me he is was to Broadway and show tunes for me. I say, whoever said Adam was going to win this thing was right. Kris is no match for Adam, and neither was Danny. As the judges have said all along, Adam is above and beyond this competition as far as singing and entertaining goes. He could even quit right now, make a record, leave the Idol trophy to Kris and be just fine. What Adam needed was fame, and he's got that now. Still, I wish he would have some mercy on Kris; the poor guy needs this competition more than Adam does. The final was decided long ago: Adam vs. ??? That's what I say. Also, I thought Danny and Kris were pretty evenly matched. Here's the difference: Kris sang better in the semi-finals and Danny more-so earned his spot in the finals, even though he sang poorly in the semi-finals.

I liked Adam, Kris, Allyson, and Matt. At first, I liked Danny as well...but he turned me off in the end.

I am a 71 year old grandmother and I have been watching American Idol since Kelly Clarkson was on. Anyway, I believe that Adam does not have to win American Idol. He has proven to all of us that he is a very talented young man. Also a very handsome one. I believe he has a great future up ahead and will get picked up by a record company. I loved his singing "Mad Mad World". I would buy this song if he recorded it. As far as Kris is concerned he also sings very well – nice and mellow – he reminds me of a young Paul McCartney. I would vote for Adam but he doesn't have to win to be a winner!!

I just read on another blog (a very reliable one) that Danny already knew he was leaving last night, thats why he said "I wish they just get on with it" in the interview with Ryan. They had an offer on the table for him already lined up. For the shows ratings, they threw in a loop by having Kris go up against Adam.

I am thrilled with the final 2......Danny had a decent voice, but in my opinion, has been pumped up and overrated–more of a wedding singer to me. Kris and Adam both deliver creative, heartfelt performances. Can't wait for the finale!

KD in Houston...if you're reading this...sorry to break it to you...Chris' version of "To Make You Feel My Love" is not his original arrangement – it's a copy from Garth Brook's on the movie soundtrack "Hope Floats".

However, I do agree, Chris is is talented and creative...I think he's better off a music arranger that a singer. His executioin often pales Adam or Danny...and he's cute!

As a Christian, I want to say something. God made and loves each of Adam, Danny and Kris - He gave all 3 of them amazing and wonderful gifts. Each have their own individual talents and we have our personal preferences. Why can't we just be uplifting and celebrate what we love about the one prefer without being mean about the others?

I think this will be the worst finale ever! In fact I think this was the worst AI season! Don't think I'll be back for the next season.

I will NEVER....I repeat....NEVER be telling my grandchildren about the first time I saw Adam perform. What I will be telling them is about the first time I ever saw that pictures and videos of him posted on the internet doing things that he shouldn't have been doing!!!!

In every other aspect of life, we have to face up to what we did and so will Adam. Anyone else in the public eye would be forced to "apologize" for those types of things....instead....Idol is just sweeping that under the rug. Poor poor judgement!

All the final 3 were talented but of those Adam is easily the most entertaining and those that have the big hate on for him obviously aren't into that gendre of music that doesn't mean he sucks it just mean he doesn't appeal to you but thats your opinion.

American Idol is a trashy reality show with no redeeming value. Its sole purpose is the glorified bullying of teenagers, and people who watch it should be ashamed of themselves...though they continue to make every justification in the book as to why it's OK. Scary.

Equally matched and close call between Danny and Kris. Either equally deserving to be in the final. Kris has more creativity and versatility and that won the day for him. Can he beat the buzz saw Adam? Don't know, but he's certainly got the likeability quotient.

take away the smoke and lights, and lets imagine yourselves listening to either Adam or Kris on the radio on a regular day...dont even think about the Idol competition. I truly doubt most of the so-called Adam followers will stay tuned a long time to the endless screaming. Yes, its impressive, but overdone. Adam might be more talented, but Kris style is the most enyoable in the end to most people. Sorry, i dont believe Adam Lambert is the "chosen one" to bring back glam-rock back from the 80's...
