Definitely has to be Adam. He's far and away the star this year. The most consistent, the one everyone talks about, the one everyone is excited for, etc. It's always a question of "What is he going to do this week?"

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Kris in the finals with Gokey. There is always an upset, I don’t think it has happened yet this year. Besides that, I am not going to vote because I can’t make up my mind. I want all three to win and that isn’t going to happen. Kris is brilliant, I love Gokey’s smokey voice and Adam is already a star.
Tonight I liked Kris and Gokey better than Adam, not that I think Adam was bad. I like the other two with the arrangements better.

Folks, 52 yr old rocker here. I’ve loved Adam this whole trip, followed by Danny…..Chris who? I’ll tell what…..game on!!!! Chris brought it tonight with his thang doing West! No one, I mean, no one is given save! Best year so far…….this thing is totally open! Game on folks!!!!

I really don't want Adam in the finale, cause then you'll know who's gonna win & there's no reason to watch it.

As for tonight, I am pretty sure that, although Danny deserves to go home, Kris will be the one to go. Hopefully his "Heartless" performance will get him the votes for second place and prove me wrong.

What competition....there isn't any for Adam....as Simon says....he deserves to be there next week.....and if he isn't, I guarantee the ratings will be way down......I for one won't tune in....what for?

I'd venture to say that Kris and Adam will be in the final two.

As far as I'm concerned, this is no competition. Every time Adam sings, I sit with my mouth open. His perfect pitch at both the high and low notes is unequaled. He's like a rock n' roll Pavarotti. Hey, I love Adam and he sure deserves to be in the finals based on all his oiutstanding performances this season — but, tonight wasn’t my favourite night for Adam. Neither of his performances grabbed me like he has done in the past. He still should be safe if the Lambertines vote and he definitley deserves it. Kris was no big hit tonight and Gokey’s first song was Ho Hum – not a superb night overall. Can’t wait for the results and the finals though !

Kris was incredible–particularly with "Heartless", who would have thought that song could sound like that? He, however, has a good deal of heart, and I really want him in the finals with Adam, who is so talented it is almost painful. Danny was very good tonight, but I believe it should be and will be Adam and Kris, if Kris' fans can get the votes out for him. Get voting!

This is probably the first season that I don't care who wins. They are ALL amazing talents.

I thought the show tonight was just "okay." I wasn't blown away by any of them and actually felt disappointed at the end. I am hoping the finale will be better.

Kris is the weakest vocally. He is more limited in what he can do well. He has a fan base and could definitely sell a lot of albums though.

Kris' performance was so darn predictable. "Let's take a rap song and make it acoustic..has that been done before? " He really really doesn't have the talent to be in the finals. He played it safe tonight and shouldn't be rewarded.

They all were very good, but Adam takes the prize...He has it all and that is what it takes to be another great rock star like Elvis....I believe down deeply that Adam will be King of Rock in the near future......I can feel it coming .....He has such carisma...I can't get enough of his looks and singing..........Danny has no sex appeal...Kris is so cute and likeable and is very talented ,he should be #2.......Danny #3

Adam may be talented, but tonight he was on the bottom of the 3. I thought Kris was awesome and by gosh Danny is like a racehorse in the homestretch! I would love to see someone other than Adam take it!

I think there are better places for the judges to rest their noses than on Adam's backside.
That being said, if I had to only look to tonight, I think Kris and Danny brought more talent to the stage. Over the course of the competition though, it is tough to say. I think that Kris has certainly grown more, shown more and is probably the best of the three all around.
The problem with Adam is he has a stage presence that is almost too natural which makes him seem very cocky and when I look at who should win my vote for AI, it's the person who deserves it but has earned it as well. Adam arrived well polished for the stage and is so set in his very unique style that he has failed to really branch out or grow. Sometimes that dramatic style and cockiness work well – sometimes, not at all.
Someone else compared Danny to Taylor Hicks and while I think that quite an insult to Danny, I see the resemblance. Both are very simplistic performers who do their best to blend soul/gospel/Top 40 together. I think Danny is much more sincere and down to earth, but as much as I truly have admired him since day one, I don't think he has earned the title of AI. He has a great voice and would certainly be someone I would buy a CD of, but as for longevity and creativity – nah. It just isn't there.
I've called him a dark horse before and I think his personal song choice proved it tonight; Kris has a great deal of talent and is willing to take a risk to be unique and show off his skill. He's done it before with his almost bluegrass twist on some great songs and he knows how to use his range to hit a listener emotionally right between the eyes and make you feel the words.
It will be interesting to see who makes it to the finals – but I am hoping for Danny and Kris.

What in the world is this doing on the front page of CNN? Do you guys have a deal with Fox? I understand reporting on some significant event in the series... but what one blogger and some random readers think of the competition has no place as the number 2 story on your website. This. Isn't. News.
You had better grow some journalistic integrity in short order, CNN, or your real audience will leave in droves. Stop pandering to the lowest common denominator.

If you don't want Adam you don't have ears or eyes. And to those who say he screams every song I suggest they get their tivo fixed or go online and look at past performances. Adams rocks.

Adam has to go. All he does is scream. He was a performer before Idol. He had plenty of experince before the show. He has no business being on Idol. He should go home! Let the music begin with Kris and Danny. Music you can listen to, hear and understand. Music to your ears.

I want Kris and Gokey in the finals but because everyone thinks that Gay Goth Guy is the second coming of Jesus Christ I'm sure it won't happen.

I'm thinking it will be Adam and Danny in the finals. As many folks have said here, they were all good tonight, but Adam has got so much more than a spectacular voice. He's got the "idol" it factor. Kris and Danny will definitely have careers, but neither of them has the magnatism that Adam possesses. You can't learn that kind of stuff. You just have to be born with it – Adam was!

Adam in the finals for sure. It's a toss-up between the other two. Of course Adam will prevail, talent always does.

If Adam goes home tomorrow night the sponsors will crap their pants. Why do you think he consistenly sings last or near the end. He's the biggest viewer draw this season. Danny and Kris would be a total snooze fest final. I wouldn't watch.

No doubt that Adam can perform, and puts on a good show. He can sing too. But when he is in the screaming mode, if I close my eyes and just listen, I can't imagine that I would want to listen to a whole CD of him screaming. Now when he doesn't scream, he can sing, but the screaming is part of the "act", and if you don't have visuals, it doesn't come across that great. JMHO

By the way, they all three can sing, they just have different styles.

Tonight it was definitely Kris and Adam that did the best. Kris totally rocked "Heartless"-better than the original version. It's going to be interesting to see who is in the top two tomorrow. Unfortunately, the best singer is not always the most popular. I hope this year proves me wrong.

Kris and Danny are the more marketable singers. Adam screams too much and is too theatrical...not an idol. Kara has to go with Adam!

Adam has not done one original arrangment yet. He has taken little known covers and called them his own.

If you go back and look at each of Adams performances the would all sound the same. SCREAM!!!!!! He sure can scream. No variety, he made all his songs screaming ROCK. Not for me. Danny and Kris for finals!!!!!!!

Great show!! All talented kids, but my ranking:
1. Kris – Best mainstream radio play potential; nice job with Kanye's Heartless (Kris is very underrated...like Chris Daughtry)
2. Adam – Axl Rose on Broadway with a hint of drag queen; great entertainer..........the hysteria over Adam kind of reminds me of the "soul patrol" phenomenon.....we all know how that ended up.............
3. The other kid.......Danny – Nice jazzy R&B singer, but forgettable

It doesn't seem like a competition to me. Adam has been consistently and significantly better than everyone else. He is a star like none other that has graced the stage of American Idol. Even if he doesn't win the contest, he will have an amazing career ahead of him. He can decide if he wants to pursue rock-n-roll or Broadway. The world of entertainment will embrace him.

Adam and Chris. Danny is good, but too predictable. Adam has superior showmanship and talent, but I also love Chris's voice.

Adam and Kris. I've been rooting for them both from the start, and I've even been enjoying Danny, too. But Danny just isn't in the same league as Adam and Kris. Ultimately, I hope Adam wins due to his sheer talent and originality and for being so damn entertaining this season. As for Kris, I'll buy his first album the day it's released. What an awesome season this has been!!! \o/

Adam is soooooo cocky! I am so sick of him not making it through a performance without thanking the band or doing something else condescending. Tonight it was "Both Danny and Kris are great" or something to that effect, there was something in his voice that made the translation "well we know I'm definitely in the final and I'll be happy to beat either one of them that make it"...
I would LOOOOOOVE to see him eliminated tomorrow. Although Simon practically went house to house to make people pick up the phone and vote for him. "One" was great, but "Crying" was only so-so.

It has to be Kris and Danny. Actually it should be Danny and Rocker girl. How many upbeat REAL songs have you heard Kris sing well? NONE he cant. He has faked his way through idol by being "creative" and making them his own songs. He is one dimensional.

Adam: again he is overrated. He screams every song. Tonight One was not good.....all everybody did was wait for him to get loud and scream so they could cheer. His second song wasn't really that spectacular either. the judges have been one sided for Adam since day one. And who would want their children to look up to a person that tongue kisses boys? You say its about the singing but its also about the person. This person is going to be all over the news and media is this what we want our kids to see?

Danny is the real American Idol not because he is my favorite but he is the better of the 3.

I know Adam Lambert might be America's favorite, but for me, tonight's performance was too much yelling and screamining stead of singing. As a singing competition as American Idol is, Danny is the one with the voice, Kris a truly artist and Adam an excelent entreteiner. But let's not forget, again, this is a singing competition.

Super show – superior talent – especially once Ryan reminded the judges that the show is about the SINGERS! What's up with the back up singer's microphone? Surely American Idol sound technicians can chill a hot mike during performance. Her blaring voice was a negative factor to Danny and Adam's performance. They should not have to deal with tech crew sabotage. Please back up the back up volume before next week. (Also the piano was too piano on Kris' number as well. American Idol can do better. )

When Adam started "One" tonight, I thought, "This is going to be as good as Mad World, if not better. This might be one of those really memorable performances." But then, uh oh. I was actually disappointed.

I really want to like his singing/performing as much as I like his personality when he's talking to Ryan or the judges. Maybe that's the problem. He has these vacillating personae that make me wonder which is the genuine Adam.

Am I alone in this?

C'mon, seriously. Elton John and Freddie Mercury, two of the best singers out there, are gay. Give your head a shake and get it out of the hole it is buried in!!! Comments like yours take us back centuries.

I'm a huge Adam fan. But tonite I would have liked him not to sing overly dramatic, at least the first song. The beginning part of it was truly beautiful, but middle part became too crying that it felt a bit theatrical to me. I love his rock-god quality, but we've seen it a lot last week already, so the second song was kind of predictable to me. Anyway, I hope he & Kris will be in the final.

LOVE KRIS, he is so original, has loads of talent, piano, guitar, and what an arrangement genius. HATE Adam, I turn the control on mute when he comes on, I HATE to hear him scream and he is so fakey.
Danny would be my next choice, but for me, the musical talent is in Kris, Adam is an actor and this is just another acting gig for him.

I'm going with Danny all the way. Adam is good when he isn't screaming his songs and cleans up his act. Kris is ok as well.

And, I just have to say that the judges need to learn to stop bickering back and forth. It's all about the contestents, not about which one of them is wrong or right!!

I'm going to say Kris got it. I've watch the whole season, and yes I admit Adam has been like on fire all season. Heres the problem... HE'S NOT ORGINAL! He pretty much sings the same style thoughout the whole season. Kris to me is a true artist and I should know cause I've gone to school for music. I'm an R&B Hiphop kind of person and let me tell you for a christian guy and singer (Kris) he just blew my mind with Kanye West Heartless. I mean come on Kanye blew minds away alone with heartless when it first came out, but, Kris version made Kanye's a joke. His first song wasnt great only because come on how can you make it anymore orginal then that? lol. bad choice of song by judges. Plus Adam sang Crying by Aero Smith. okay first off no one can sing Aero Smith songs expect um... AERO SMITH! lol. to me it seemed like he ruined a classic. Plus sounded to Karaoke.He could of done a better job and i had high expectations he would. It'll be Kris and Adam in the end but if Kris pulls another one like Heartless, Adam has no chance.

I love it when people say that they've "never heard Adam actually sing a song" and that he screams all the time. It's very apparent to me that these people don't actually know how much talent it takes to do what Adam Lambert can do. These people obviously don't remember "Mad World" or "Tracks of My Tears". Adam Lambert is by far the most talented contestant on American Idol this year and he deserves to win.

From the very beginning of the season, my picks were Adam and Danny. I have to be honest, I think Kris may have taken Danny out tonight. He has really been great the past few weeks and has shown that he has star quality.

If there is going to be an upset, my guess is that it will be Kris getting into the finals with Adam instead of Danny.

Based on tonight's performances, I'm wondering if Adam is trying to tank himself to go off on his own??? He was off his game tonight.

As for the judges – last year they tried to force an Archeletta win, and Cook pulled it off. Wonder if all their Adam worship will backfire? I think their attitudes toward Adam hurt him, and that's too bad. He's very entertaining.

I just want to make one little comment on Kara's note that Kris was not original tonight with Apologize. Every single week, Kris has done his thing and has shown his artistry when it comes to songs. Have we already forgotten "She Works Hard For The Money", "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" and "Falling Slowly"??? He took ordinary songs and made them AMAZING!!! So, because he stayed a little close to the melody on one particular song tonight she now needs more "creative interpretation"??? Get real Kara......Seriously.

I'm not an Adam fan but how can you even compare the other two to him. Even I a country boy can clearly see his star quality. I strongly believe after watching his performances that he will be as famous as Rod Stewart or any other rock star. He'll probably be the next Elvis.

What part of my comment are you referring to? What part of my comment was not the truth? His actions are wrong and we should not accept it just because everyone else is. Everyone is trying their best to gray the line that separates males from females. Where are all the real men today? Just because there were others in the past does it mean that we should accept it and parade it in front of our kids? I would feel the same way if there were an artist that beat their wife, or does drugs and fill their songs full of profanity and promote the degradation of women.

Ideally, the finale would include Danny and Kris, with Danny winning it all. I just shake my head at the TV, week after week, while Adam performs. He is good for broadway, but he is NOT Idol material. The screaming has to stop, please!

Adam has the best voice I have ever heard in my life, but Danny has the neatest voice I have ever heard. I don't care for Kris, he is just a good singer; nothing special. Danny can melt a woman's heart, while Adam can hit a high note that will make your goosebumps have goosebumps.

It will be an Adam – Danny finale, just like most of us thought from the beginning. I am voting for Adam regardless of the performances next week because he has been breathtaking night after night. He deserves it more than anyone else.

Mark my words, Adam will be the biggest singing sensation of the next 10 years.

Adam Lambert hands down should win. He is amazing - so comfortable on stage, inate natural musical sense, charisma, flare, and voice. I have heard complaints that he "screams". Well, he is in control of his voice, no question. However the listening ear of today's public has been conditioned to not hear real singing because the music industry has been promoting 'non-singing" entertainment. Check out Julia Nixon in the DC area. Now, she is a REAL singer witha REAL voice. Can she get a record deal??? Anyways, good luck Adam. I hope America is not afraid of you.

I loved Kris singing Kanye's Heartless!!! I do not think he has received enough credit for his singing, he is great. For the first time, I actually called and voted.

GO Adam GO!!! He has been amazing CONSISTENTLY throughout the season... and for my #2 slot, KRIS! The kid has not hit a bad note all season. He doesn't have Danny's raspy voice, but there is something very genuine when you listen to Kris. He has the happy Jack Johnson thing going on...

Well, I have completely changed my mind as to who should go to the finals. I've always been a Danny fan, but tonight Chris has won my favors, uh...heart! Chris is so talented, so marketable, so down right cute and has such a hugh fan base. Okay, so Adam is good. No, he's great. But would I buy his cd or do I even like his type of music, NO! So give me Chris.....he's my American Idol!

I was not impressed by Adam tonight. He butchered "One". He would have done better by just sticking to the original melody. It's a U2 song for goodness sake! You cannot improve on an already GREAT song. And his interpretation of Aerosmith's song was just ok for me.

I am not a Danny fan, but tonight he actually did well with both songs. I was impressed with his control. Anybody else think that he sounds like Michael Bolton??

I thought Kris did alright with "Apologize", but hit a home run with "Heartless".

I REALLY hope Danny is in the top 2. I also wished that Alison didn't go home. I don't like Adam AT ALL after his rendition of "Ring of Fire" I think he should've been kicked off.

Adam sounds and looks like a really bad Liza impersonator. I just don't get it. He almost sang for a little bit, but then resorted to his shrill screaming. I am not sure what notes they keep talking about him hitting, it sounds like a bad sound track from a b-rated movie.

But Adam will win. The other two are just too normal and talented. Fortunately we will not have to listen to him too long as he will be staring in some back alley LA rock drama soon enough. Too much drama queen, too little rocker.

And I hate to say it because he seems to be a nice enough guy. His style seems more in line with some over the top Las Vegas act than rock. Its too bad, because when he isn't screaming like an 80 year old woman being attacked, he can actually sing.

My votes are for Adam and Danny. Adam is by far the best talent and can literally sing anything and have a hit. Danny has really started to show how good he is over the past couple weeks and I definitely like him over Kris now. Kris's performances were just ok for me. He appears only suited to a narrow focus of music and and his mouth and facial expressions are really starting to get annoying.

I think Kris should win... hes the only one that I would buy an album for! but Ive said from the beginning of the season that it was going to be Adam. hes the judges favorite... but then i could be surprised cause we haven't had the vote that pisses the judges off yet. every other year a judge favorite gets voted off just to piss the judges off and I really hope it happens tonight. I don't know why anyone would even vote. The thing is obviously rigged. They have wanted Adam & Danny in the finale from the beginning and that's what they are pushing for. I personally like Kris the best but I don't hold out much hope. I really don't get Adam. Do people honestly like screaming?

What is your ~real~ name? Because there is absolutely nothing "truthful" in the crap you are posting.

I for one have no problem with the idea of my children idolizing a men who kisses other men. Unlike some people, who seem to idolize a book that not only condemns homosexuality, but also states that women are inferior, slavery is a-ok, and that God hates shrimp, I prefer to teach my children that people come in all shapes and types and sizes, and that what is truly important is to live your life in a manner that is true to yourself, to love, respect, and support your fellow man, and to never try to impose your own morality on the person next to you.

So far, Adam seems to be living up to those standards, and so - beyond routing for him because he has an amazing talent - I also admire him for the person that he seems to be.

If Adam doesn't become the next American Idol...there is something wrong with people in the USA...he's the best EVER!!!!!

I think you are taking all of these too personal. chill out. I don't think " the truth" comment was old fashing or had anything to do with adam's personal preference. Adam is a great, excelent entreteiner, but some people wonder, if the singing competition suits him at this point. and unfortunately tonight's performance wasn't his best.

Honestly, the fact that Simon had to tell people to vote for Adam makes it so obvious that Adam just wasn't up to standard tonight. Based on tonight it should really be Danny and Kris. Based on the overall season I would say it should be Adam and Kris. Unfortunately I think it will be Adam and Danny – the judges/producers never gave Kris the props and chances he deserved.

Adam's backup singer on Cryin' was out of tune. Awful. She was too loud. Hopefully out of a job tomorrow. Adam deserves to be in the Final with ...the other guy. Good Luck Adam! You're Beautiful!

We have an obligation to our kids to make sure he does not become their next role model. Personally, I am horrified at the favoritism shown by the judges toward him. Makes me wonder if the show should continue. If they think Adam is an acceptable role model for our children, maybe they should be eliminated from the spotlight.

There are a lot of gay people that I look up to, for WHO THEY ARE. I personally don't care who people kiss, or who they sleep with. I care with what they do with their lives. From moment one on stage, Adam has always been the gentleman. He is gracious to those who have mentored him. He always remembered to thank the band for their work, and he took criticism with grace.

You are advocating that there are people in this world that are not deserving of fame because of their sexuality. I think it is a bigger shame to teach children to be intolerant of others.

TigerMike – I just didn't like the thought of a Hicks comparison to Lambert. Totally different league in terms of talent. Adam needs a good manager that will tell him to reel it in at times and to hit the lower notes as opposed to the..well you know. Slash told him that and I was hoping it would carry over to this week.

Adam was HORRIBLE tonight. I normally hate him anyways but tonight he tortured U2's song. You can't do that. If I were U2 I would be pissed. Adam should go be a drama queen cuz that is what his true talent is. GO GOKEY!!!

I voted Adam, Kris, and Allison all season. I'm hoping for an Adam-Kris final. Never liked Gokey – though tonight he turned in servicable performances. I think Kris was the best overall. I think Adam is destined to be a huge international star – though I didn't his performances as much as other weeks. Really liked the first half of "One" however the second half went too over the top. Thought his vocal was stronger in "Cryin" though the backup singer was competing with his vocal early on in the song. It seemed like they adjusted the levels along the way – thank goodness.

The judges were atrocious – especially in the first round. Last week Kara told Kris he tried to hard to make "Come Together" original. This week she criticizes him for not changing up "Apologize" enough to make it his own. Paula calling him out over a bum note was too much after the Gokey debacle last week. Kris played two instruments tonight and demonstrated that his artistry is in a league of its own this season. Adam is incredibly artistic as well – those his talents are vastly different from Kris Allen's. Gokey is the only one who is "just an average singer."

I think all three did a wonderful job, but my vote is with Danny. However, when it comes down to it I think Adam will win. He has an amazing voice.

Now that I have finished watching the dvr – since I missed the show as it aired – I can say something good about Adam tonight – at least he didn't PRANCE around the stage like he did the night when sang Born to Be Wild from Easyrider – I am sure he would have been a huge hit prancing with the bikers.

Clearly Ive hit a nerve and if you enjoy the same sex companionship thats on you. I don't agree with it but you have to answer for your own decisions. Keep in mind that if you are on American Idol, I wont vote for you. Yes it condemns HS, and no women are not inferior. Man is head of the household (if one is there...again where are the REAL men), but that doesn't mean that the woman is inferior. The woman is just as important as man. What they do in the relationship can not be done by anyone else. I have often said that there needs to be a Wife Day just as much as Mothers Day. What they do is invaluable. Whats wrong today is that because WE don't do our job the wife is left taking up the slack. They need a strong compassionate husband that can lead but also include the wife as well. Its not about dominating.

I'm so tired on Adam getting a free pass for all the strangeness and creepiness he exudes. Tonight he practically threw up his own tongue while singing One. It -literally- made me gag a little watching it. He's so creepy to watch sing, and yet they never call him on it. As if cheesy lip curls and shoulder twitches wasn't enough, now his tongue falls out of his mouth while he's singing. Just gross.

I am a big Adam fan. He is amazing. But I think that AI is showing him a little favoritism over the rest. Which I don't think is really fair to the others in the show. Kris has the teeny bopper vote. Young girls love him and they will spend 2 hours voting for him, so you can't count him out. I could listen to Danny on a whole album which I can't say about Kris and Adam. Adam does belong in a rock band. My favorite is Danny. I will miss the show next week because I am on vacation, but my bet is Adam, so it won't be a surprise.

NO ONE ever has compared to Adam Lambert period. He is so far above and beyond everyone in so many ways vocally, as a musician, etc. Pure talent and an entertainer with a voice that no one can emulate. Danny is not bad at all and were it not for Adam, would probably win, but no one has a right to win but Adam. I just trust, as Simon says, America doesn't assume as much and votes for the others. Kris is OK, but clearly should not be left standing after tom eve.

Adam hits crazy notes and he does it consistently. Amazing gift, but I don't enjoy his weird screaming tone much of the time. He would be the perfect lead vocalist for Spinal Tap–not joking at all–but I enjoy the music that Kris and Danny make much more.

Danny can sing, but he has gotten boring. He can't change things up like Kris and Adam can. That's not to take anything away from him, though. Kris and Adam in the final. That Kanye West song was AMAZING!!!! Who knew this kid could pull it off. Way to go, Kris. You were counted out a long time ago!

I am not worrying about Adam making the final two, it's in the bag. Adam knows it, the judges know it and practically every voter knows it. It's not if he will make the finals, it's when he makes the finals. I am sure he's already picked his songs and probably is working on the wardrobe. The question is who is going to be the runner up to Adam, Kris or Danny. If the impossible happens and Adam isn't the American Idol, it's going to be really tough for the guy who do win. He's going to be overshadowed by that guy in the background with the rockstar looks, huge voice and screaming fanatical fans.

I think the vote will be extremely close and everyone will be shocked when Adam gets the boot!

Adam Lambert is a phenomenal performer and singer. He performs with an overwhelming confidence and ease and is undoubtedly the best American Idol has seen to date. The total package. No matter the final outcome, he is a winner !!

I hope it is Adam and Kris. I still don't see much of a market for Gokey (not sure what genre he is targeting). He is kind of like Taylor Hicks that way. No real market (not that there aren't fans). Kris on the other hand is very marketable in today's music world. He fits in. Adam can, also. For Adam, it is a matter of who will "mentor" him. I don't think Adam is a natural artist; but appears to be a quick learner and knows how to take advice and deliver. I don't see Adam writing his own music or even really arranging the song. But he will deliver. I like Kris the best; but I hope that Adam wins. I think Kris would do better not having the title in his genre. I think the teen and early 20 something males will see him as being more credible if he doesn't have the AI crown. Although talented in their own right, Adam and Danny don't seem to do much arranging themselves or do anything with instruments. I know those skills aren't required but I think it tells a lot about the true musical skills and artistry of each.

Danny's performance was same as always: good but just average.
Adam's performance was was the same as always: ok but over the top and overrated. EVERY single song from Adam must have the obligatory, yes I'll say it, scream, and high, held note at the end.

Don't know how the voting will go, but if voters have listened to the very obvious judges all season, it will be Adam and Danny in the finals. Not correct in my book. Kris should be in the game next week; if not, can't wait for the CDs to start rolling out!

Why shouldn't American Idol be on the CNN homepage? It's entertaining, it makes people feel good, raises money for good causes. Isn't it time that we can read an article on CNN that makes you feel good, when there is so much heartache and loss all over the world. All 3 gentlemen are talented. Its not always about winning. And those of you who are judging these men on looks or sexual orientation, shame on you. Who gives us the right to cast stones? This show enables ordinary folks an opportunity to live their dream. I have watched Idol every season and this is the first season that I can honestly say that I completely disagree with the judges. When I hear (screech) Adam sing...its kind of like someone scratching the chalkboard!!!! I cant pay attention to the words because I am too busy concentrating on the screaming. If this were a perfect world he would drop out so he could pursue his screaming abilities without having to be tied down to an Idol contract. Although I think this year had the most talented group as a whole...I am not sure we got the final 3 right.

I'm a 68 year old rock and roll fan. I was a DJ at a rock radio station way back when, and personaly experienced rock music evolve. I still know 'great' when I hear it. Adam is great! He's the next big superstar. I know what I'm seeing and hearing when I watch him. Adam Lambert is phenominal!

I don't get it. I watched the show tonight after reading a lot of the online comments and specifically looked for Adam's supposed overcockiness, because he actually had struck me as being quite modest behind his stage personna every time he has answered questions. Again his quiet answers and his kudos to Kris and Danny did not strike me as cocky.

Once again tonight he did put on two brilliantly professional and emotionally charged productions. Yes, he screeched at times, but by God they were perfectly pitched screeches. I agree with Randy. Adam owns those rock N roll songs. He belongs on a world rock N roll stage. The bigger the venue the more crazy excitement he will generate. The pure dramatic intensity that he pours into each and every song will make the outrageous price of the tickets it will cost the kids to see him worth every dollar. He is a mega star. I suspect that Adam has known it a long time, has dreamed and believed and now, well now we all know it too.

Will he win tomorrow night? I don't know. Danny and Kris both did very well tonight and they are both good singers with different styles. Its now up to the voters. I know Adam should win. He has been brilliantly consistant throughout the season. He rose to the forefront early in the season and I hope that he does win, because week after week he has come out and performed like a polished professional in his own unmistakable style. Maybe that same professionalism puts some people off...they prefer the vulnerability of Kris or the affability of Danny.
Adam has the whole package and whether or not he wins tomorrow, the door opening to super stardom awaits him. He is very special.

Tomorrow we will know who the winner is going to be and another season will be done. Thanks for a really good season...probably the best so far.

Which is fine, because even though I know Adam is already the expected winner, my hopes will remain high for Danny right up until the end.

I still think Danny is a very good singer –but I wasn't thrilled with his rendition of the Joe Coker song tonight. Different, yes. But I really think with his voice he could have done so much more with that song. And the Terence Trent D'arby song, well, it was alright. I mean to me it did seem to at least somewhat fit him, or at least in theory!
For the first time ever I actually called in..and so I got at least a few more votes in for him, just in case it could make a difference.

Adam was fine, he was as good just as he generally is. As long as he's got a song that could use a good scream or two, he can do it. He's not my favorite, but he does usually come through in the end, and IMO he didn't disappoint tonight either.

But I also really think Kris came through well tonight. I like Kris, but usually he's just not that "memorable" to me. But tonight even my husband was praising the heck out of him after he did Heartless. It was a very different sound from the original, but it was good, and I think it will make for a tougher call for tomorrow and/or next week.

But I really did appreciate the things Simon was saying, just about everyone thinking Adam has it in the bag, and the contest isn't over yet!
All the people that are screaming that it's "Adam all the way!!!" may be right–but the other two have earned their spots on that stage too, even if Adam's persona has IMO shone the most out of the three of them. Heck out of almost the entire competetion.

A month from now I don't think any of them are going to be suffering for publicity and/or possible record deals.

I've never watched a season of American Idol before this one, but I really think they have had some real talent on there, and I think many of the contestants will not be fading away in the near future.

But even I know how many NON-Idol winners have gone on and done very well for themselves. Heck in some of those cases, the NON-winners seem to have done better for themselves than the ACTUAL winners!

Just basing it on performance and equally important, their fan base. And further, between Kris and Danny....the latter will be safe. Can't wait for tomorronw.

If Adam is so amazing, why has he not signed a recording contract yet? Has he not been in the business for almost 10 years? I shall enlighten you. He is two decades too late, that is why. He has an incredible voice and range, but who wants to listen to 80's hair bands anymore? If he ever makes a record, I can guarantee that I won't be downloading it from any torrents.

For those who think Adam can't sing they need their ears checked. The man has such a range on him and an incredible voice. Kris also has a unique voice which has a different appeal. Danny also has a nice voice but he can't sing everything like Adam. As someone who can sing my votes would go to Adam first and Kris second. Sorry Danny, nice job but not as good as the other two.

Adam has a great voice but the excessive "squeal-a-thon" is just so annoying after awhile. I always know where he is going to go with the song before it has even ended. Kris has such natural understated looks. The fact that he can play guitar and piano and sing LIVE is very impressive. Danny is talented too but just does not leave a real lasting impression. I would like to see Adam eliminated and watch Kris and Danny go for it. Adam will have a record contract anyway...... The judges are just patheticly immature except for Simon who speaks matter of factly and succintly. They are as a whole like the disfunctional Osborne Family of Fox TV.

Adam has finally become boring & predictable. Every ballad he does sounds exactly the same & every uptempo number he does sounds exactly the same... he's a 2-trick pony. Whereas Kris just keeps stepping it up week after week with unparalelled artistry & the judges continue to bash him because they've already deemed Adam the winner (you don't think he got those magazine articles without the AI publicity machine in full force, do you?). Danny has a great voice, but the only one I can see with modern hits in a singer/songwriter style is Kris. He's the bomb.

For me Adam deserve the credits his voice is not just for rock n roll he can also do medley and Im sure even love song. The voice of Kris and Danny are very predictable they only have 1 level of tone. GO Adam this is singing competition and you have the voice. Rock us here in the Philippines

Let me just say if Adam is not in final I'm going to laugh my butt off and never watch the show again. Danny's voice is good but really both Danny and Kris put me to sleep compared to Adam. Adam is miles and miles and miles and miles above the other two combined both entertainer and voice wise. He' s also much better looking if that counts although he might be too much for some middle-american moms to allow their daughters to vote for him.

Adam Lambert should win because he's already a star and he can survive the entertainment industry. Danny is awesome and he should definitely record an album even if he doesn't win Idol. Kris is a a great singer but he just doesn't have that edge for me. Nice guy though. Allison should've made it to top 3.

Season 8 has the best talent so far, in my opinion. And it all depends on the people's favourite – regardless of whether its a vote based on talent or just the looks. The top three each stand out on their own. Adam being the most talented – a winner! Kris looks does what he does best on the guitar while Danny has good vocals. Lets hope for the best!

Come on people, get real this is a producer mandated show..some of your better singers was eliminated way early in the show..they want to see Adam and Danny...and Adam will win... all he has to do is sing each week. The contestants know that and you think you vote for the winner.

All 3 will have contracts...Adam is too much like Fallout Boy but has a great niche with his "girl scream voice". He is a star already and not really unknown but he has a great stage persona. Kris is gifted as an artist with his craft of molding music to fit him. Danny has a voice that is just universally loved with a back-story that has more meaning than anyone else. It doesn't matter who the top 2 are, because the last five are all stars...it's just a matter of what the Exec. Producers feel will generate the most ad rev for them. Vote all you want, but like everything else in America it's already set in stone!

I listened on the radio. Just listening (with no visuals), Kris had the strongest voice tonight, believe it or not. Adam was awesome as usual, but it wasn't his strongest. Listening to Danny on You Are So Beautiful really didn't push me to his side at all. It was very weak.

The judges are pushing for Adam so much that even Simon who is always honest didn't want to tell Adam that he stunk up the place tonight... Instead of telling how wack his performance was all he could say was how good Adam did all season. But you could tell by the look on Simon's face that he thought Adam sucked tonight... I feel bad for Gokey because Paula gave him a wack song to sing... But he worked it out... Go Gokey!!! As you can tell Gokey gets my vote for the win...

it's obvious ... Adam and Kris!

This is a tough but great competition. All three guys are so good they could just let them battle it out on the final night.
The only down side of tonights show was once again the judges.
Randy and k girl are clueless and there was to much fooling around with paula and simon. I did like simon's smackdown on k girls criticisim on chris's performance. As much as I would like to see chris win it all feel he may be going home but not away. That guy is really good don't be surprise to see him go country. Adam and Danny get to go at it for the finale.

Adam killed the Arrowsmith song and we all know it. The U2 song was just good, but not awesome.

Kris is a close second ,and Danny did okay but that was it.

Kara, Paula and Simon sniping at one another is getting really really old. Kinda like watching mud wrestling.

Kris & Adam in the Finals, is what I think it should be.

Although I'm really growing tired of Adam's high pitched screaming.

Adam: I think he is the purest singer and best potential, but I will never buy one of his songs as long as he continues to screech! Good night it's annoying!

Chris: The sleeper. I never paid attention or gave him a chance until 4-5 weeks ago, yet every week he gets better and better and after tonight I am finally a believer.

Danny: My original favorite. I still like him the best, however the gap keeps getting narrower and for the first time I can honestly say I would be ok if he gets voted off... under 1 condition: no more screeching by Adam!

Allison: If only she had sang something by Joan Jett or Pat Benetar last week... too bad they couldn't keep her around longer, but I am sure we will hear a lot from her in the future.

I'm hoping for Kris and Adam, because I frankly just dont like Danny. Especially after last week. Also I think that Kris would have a better chance of beating Adam then Danny, which would be more interesting than Adam winning. I am an Adam fan all the way, but at this point i don't think it really matters if he wins or not.

From the start, the clear winner for me has been Adam. Of the three remaining, he's the only one worth my money to see in concert. And I just discovered he and I share the same high school alma mater – alas, 21 years apart. Go Sundevils!

Adam absolutely ruined U2's ONE. He changed the lyrics and completely missed the meaning of the song.

Someone commented, "Honestly, the fact that Simon had to tell people to vote for Adam makes it so obvious that Adam just wasn’t up to standard tonight."

I disagree. I think Adam is so ahead of the pack that Simon was thinking Adam's fans would assume he was a shoe-in to win and not bother to vote. It has happened before. That's how we got Taylor Hicks.

I agree that Gokey needs to go. I liked him early one, but there's an ick factor there that has been growing every week. He's become rather creepy and cheesy to me.

Adam was ok but obviously screaming most of the time.

Kris was better than Adam ..but not as good as Danny. Danny was way better than the others. His voice was just so magical. I think Adam should go back tonite but America just so crazy for him than Kris maybe the unlucky one

The question is; Who do you want to hear on the radio when this is all over? Adam screaming – NO. Danny growlling – NO. So that leaves Kris. I believe he'll be all over the radio this time next year.

I LOVE ADAM!! But, I think because he is incredible every week you can't see anyone else winning this thing. But, I will say that if anyone can come close it is Kris. Kris doesn't have the experience and polish of Adam. So, he doesn't always shine like Adam. But, he was fierce with Heartless tonight. I also loved Kris's version of She Works Hard for the Money. Both Adam and Kris are the best for the finals. But, there is no way ADAM should lose. He is by far the best contestant the show has ever had. He has sold more on Itunes, more videos, more memoribilia than any of his competitors. Not to mention standing ovations from Simon and Smokey Robinson. Adam can reach high notes, sing ballads and is truly an international senation. Kris and Danny have done a few good songs. But, ADAM has knocked it out of the ball park every week!!! Those are the FACTS plain and simple.

Adam has everything, right from Day ONE. he has the looks, the stage presence, and the voice.

He is good mannered like Elvis,sings like Tyler, and has the whole package.

He has my vote, and I have my tickets to see him live.

The songs that all three of them sang did not impress me that much except the song that Kris sang while playing the piano. To be honest, I am a true fan of Adams, but what he sang did nothing for me at all as his others gave me goosebumps! I believe the final two will be Adam and Kris. I can't see how Danny made it this far!

Kris really hit it out of the park on Heartless, but unfortunately, he couldn't hit or even attempt the high "late" in Apologize. Why you would even try that song, if you can't hit that note, I don't know why. For his sake, I hope people forgot that performance when they voted. I realize Adam has had amazing performances earlier in the season, but all he did was scream tonight, and it was very annoying.

sooooooooooooooo sick of hearing people compare danny to taylor hicks in a bad way... hey guys, TAYLOR WON. taylor was on broadway and has such a following that the guy was responsible for an increase in sales...he's selling albums and still requested for performances wherever he goes. he owns his own production company. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT? why not compare danny's so called career to ruben, who hasn't done as well....

hicks has a great following and is still going strong. he might not be selling millions, but selling millions isn't the be all and end all of success. And if Danny is like taylor, WELL HE WINS. (I'm a danny/adam fan myself. Kris bores me to tears...)

Danny is a karaoke singer. Chris is cute. Adam is an entertainer.

Gokey did a great job on the Joe Cocker tune but I agree that most of his stuff sounds kinda the same. Adam showed me that he really could be a rock star last week...more so than the "Broadway" comments. I really liked his "One" but I didn't like the Aerosmith song. I think Kris' "Heartless" rendition was the best of the night.

My prediction is that Gokey will go home but I wouldn't rule out a surprise Adam exit since rock fans have never driven Idol. It might be best because then Adam could have freedom like Doughtry did to make his own kind of music. I think he needs to get a band and get going. He's definitely a star.

ALL THREE WERE BRILLIANT LAST NIGHT, BUT THE MOST TALENTED AND CONSISTENT SINGER HAS BEEN ADAM. HE REALLY DESERVES A SPOT. KRIS' SECOND SONG WAS INCREDIBLE AND HE SHOULD GET IN ON THAT PREFORMANCE ALONE. IT WILL BE SAD IF ADAM DOESN'T GET A SPOT. I must be the only person in the world who is really tired of hearing Adam's screams. Every song he sings sounds the same. I was literally laughing at his performances last night. Can he sing in a low tone at all. Shoot, some of the women in the competition sang with more range than Adam has. It's a shame he will be voted to move on.

After much thought, I voted several times for Danny. I think he has an edge over Kris. The way I see it, it doesn't matter all that much if Adam wins this or not. He is already a star...no doubt about it. He is amazing and in a class all by himself. His future in the business is assured!

Adam is on a whole other level than the other 2. Of course, the best singer often doesn't win American Idol (or even make the top 3 in the case of Daugherty), so I wouldn't be surprised if Adam didn't make it. All it takes is a couple thousand middle-aged women voting a couple hundred times each to get Gokey in the finals. And I know...because that is just what my mom does...

Up until n ow I thought Adam would win easily, but last night I thought he was not as good as either of the others. He mostly was screaming, particularly in his first song. I thought Kris was awesome and Danny was OK. It will be interesting to see what happens with the voting.

Adam was superb (both songs) last night. Kris and Danny each sang one of their two songs very well. I've watched Idol since it began years ago, and this is the first year a contestant has performed each and every week with perfection - that would be Adam Lambert. He is absolutely gifted! Kris is a great singer. He might not win, but I think he'll have a really good career in the business.

I like him quite a bit but I think he's been hurt by the constant gushing from the judges and the way the media keeps acting like he's already won, both of which will only galvanize the fans of the other contestants.

Putting him on the cover of Entertainment Weekly was a mistake, not only because it was grossly unfair to the other contestants but because it probably led quite a few people to assume that the contest is over already and he won, so they won't be watching or voting for him.

I suspect that the recent claims by Simon and Randy that Adam will win are little more than setups for tonight's 'shocking' elimination, to make the show seem more unpredictable. They likely know that Adam's too wild for AI tastes and that Kris or Danny fit the mold much better. But they can still say Adam made a very good showing.

I don't think a loss would bother Adam all that much, either. He wants to win, of course, they all do, but if he gets kicked off he won't be wanting for work. Last night I caught the vibe that he already knows he really doesn't need all this stress anymore, he'll already come out a lot better than Kris or Danny if they win. If he is eliminated, he'll be disappointed for a time, then he'll go sift through his mountain of offers.

Guess we'll see!

Adam is a good singer, but in this competition he is an over-rated Broadway theater performer that screeches and screams....send him home!

Kris stole the show last night. He is the truer artist of the three. Danny did great with his two songs as well. I've seen lots of growth in Kris over this season. Adam has never changed. When he gets into a high register he screams and trips over his toungue. I just am not moved by him. I certainly don't see any artistry. Kris would be the biggest seller. Go Kris!

Adam Lambert ALL the way! He consistently displayed talent each and every week, and performed each song with class and integrity, regardless of genre. He accepted each challenge given to him, and performed them all with his own unique style. He gave it his all week after week, never once giving less than 150% of himself!

Adam ruled the competition from day one. He always took control of the stage like a pro, captivating the audience and judges. This is the first year I really watched American Idol with such dedication. I never voted for any contestant in all eight seasons like I did for Adam. I found myself counting the days and minutes until Idol was on again–just to see Adam!

Adam really is the next American Idol, win or lose! If he does go home this week, a lot of tears will be shed around the world. I will not watch the finale without him–why even bother? HE is the talent! I know hundreds upon hundreds of fans who feel that same way. It's Adam Lambert all the way. He HAS what it takes to be the next American Idol. He will be successful regardless if he wins or not, but he is in it to win it! I support him totally, and just want his dream to come true. He has earned it, and is worthy of the win. He is talented, amazing, phenomenal, and unique. Everything an American Idol should be.

Kris was smart by playing a song that all of the young people would recognize and see that he was doing his own twist on it. I didn't enjoy it however. You can go on youtube and see a mass of people remaking rap/pop songs to acoustic lines so it was nothing special. Adam is talented, but annoying and I don't really enjoy his constant screaming. I think Gokey deserves the title, he has a great voice and can belt it out.

I'm not impressed by any of these three. This is one of the worst seasons Idol has ever had!

Adam is the most limited of the three. His Ring of Fire effort was one of the worst things I have ever heard, but there again it was a copy from someone else. At least with the other two, Kris and Danny, they did add their own originality to the songs they preformed. The most talented, the most compelling would be Danny.

Adam may end up the "winner" of this competition, but I can't reconcile his comment during an interview that the song he selected had great lyrics and the fact that no one can understand him with his feminine like voice and high powered screaming.

I was early on an Adam fan but now I can't stand to hear him scream the same old crap week after week. He will go the way of Axel Rose. A star for a short time but his music will get old because he sounds the same on everything he sings. I hope he gets the boot!

Everyone seems to think Adam is going to win, but Adam does not have near the musical ability that Kris has. Danny Gokey is okay, but still nothing great. Adam can sing only one way – screaming! Besides, if you've seen one rocker, you've seen them all. Remember, this is a singing cometition, and Kris proved last night with an exceptional, raw, acoustic vocal that he has the singing ability it takes to win this.

Adam is getting old, already – no way he can survive after Idol.

I would love to see Adam and Kris in the final. Talk about two divergent musical talents! I play back Adam's rendition of Mad World and it still gives me shivers! This has been a great season of American Idol. All 3 certainly deserve to be where they are right now and it will be heartbreaking to see one of them have to go tonight, but I believe all 3 have a great future in the music industry and we are so looking forward to the tour. We live in Dallas and have got our tickets already!

I think the best final would be Kris and Adam. They are both original and much more current than Danny, who undoubtedly has a good voice. My vote would be for Kris, just because that's my style of music.

Was not too impressed by the fact that Simon pushed for Adam last night. He is a great performer but that same screech in every every every song begins to wear on you. Sounded almost like Adam was already giving an acceptance speech last night. Danny and Chris were on last night so it is still anybody's show. All three guys are good but I do tend to favor Danny because of the raspyness of his voice. I really do like that soulful sound.

I don't know what everyone sees in Adam- his screaming is not much of a talent, in my opinion, and he SCREWED UP two perfectly good songs- he really needs to go home, or be on Broadway. This is not the competition for him. Danny and Kris are truly talented and need to be the final two.

I don't see the Adam hype. I thought Kris did much better than either Danny or Adam but the judges keep "pushing" Adam. I do think it is going to be a surprise tonight. I do not think this is the best year for Idol. IMO. I think the addition of Kara sunk the ship as was apparent last night with the barbs between her and Simon. I would not be disappointed if they sent her home.

Adam seems to be the most identifiable, putting him in a good spot to sell a lot of albums in the future but man, if you were to let him go, I am sure he would get a lot creepier, which is a worry. He is better in the low range and his squeeling tongue-out is starting to be old.
Danny has a warm voice. He will need impecable song choices to make it. Kris is the truest musician of all three and is more versatile, making him very intersting for a future carreer in music. He lacks power though.

I haven't read any of the blog yet – will after I send my message. I've been an Adam supporter all along- still am – he has so much STAR power. HOWEVER – I shut my eyes last night as each one sang and ask myself – whose album will I really buy to listen to over and over. Chris. So I voted for him.

All of you people who say all Adam does is scream–go back and listen to "Mad World" and "Tracks of my Tears". Also, when he started the U2 song last night, he was very quiet and displayed his beautiful normal range voice. When he "screams", it's not like Danny last week–he is on a pitch and is supporting the sound.

WOW!!! What a stellar night. These three contestants all clearly want to be in the finale next week! While I feel all three of them were absolutley amazing in all their own rights, I have to say that Adam has a flair for the dramatic and it doens't always work for me. I can totally see him on a stage with a chorus behind him, headlining a Broadway show. But for him to put in the emotion that Danny Gokey gave or the true musicianship and raw talent that Kris Allen demonstrated, he just isn't there. His vocal range is that of a male Mariah, but his control and tone are just a little too edgy for me. Fortunately for him, I am always wrong on these things and I am pretty confident that he will be there next week. The real finale in my opinion is this week!!! Good luck Kris and Danny!!!

Kris's second song was AMAZING last night. He is the complete package as far as musicians go. I will vote KRIS all the way!!!!

Danny can sing, Adam can scream, but Kris has the most TALENT! Voice, artistry, instrumentals, the entire package. He might not win but he should. Kris proved last night that he was the best and the results won't matter towards his future.

American Idol is fixed, Adam Lambert will be the winner, they have been foreshadowing this from the beginning. This show has become very boring and predictable, whatever happened to raw talent? This show is overly commercial and overly produced. American Idol is fake!

Danny all the way

I'm tired of Adam. I don't want him to win because he has assumed all along that he is GOING to win and that makes him a turn-off. All of his songs sound the same, except for the "Ring of Fire" number he did early on. Is he good? Yes. Is he VERY proud of himself? Yes. Same reason I'm sick of Melissa Rycroft on Dancing with the Stars.

My family and I all think Adam and Kris had 2 great performances, while Danny only had 1. So we all voted for Adam and Kris a lot, and Danny once. =)

Adam is by NO WAY more talented than David Cook. He is not even more talented than Kris Allen. Just ask yourself this question: when have you seen Adam Lambert play the guitar? Point in case.

I'm worried that Simon may have jinxed things for Adam. WTF was up with his comment, "If you don't make it to the finals, it will be one of the biggest upsets in Idol history." (Paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact quote.) That made me feel a little sick to my stomach. Adam deserves to win. I don't always like his arrangements or song choices, but that kid can SING. Plus he's just different from all the other Idol winners of years past. I could pick his voice out on the radio any time, whereas contestants like Kris and Danny simply sound like everyone else out there.

Danny peaked when he sang "Hero" before the main competition began. If it's not Kris and Adam next week, it won't be worth watching. Strip away the raspy voice, the personal heartbreak story, and the glasses from Danny and want are you left with...just a regular guy who doesn't sing very well.

OMG, I can't wait! This is the best season ever, and I'm so on the edge of my seat just thinking about it. the world is collectively holding its breath for the outcome.

Glad that Simon put Kara in her place – She keeps telling the contestants to be real yet she's about as phoney as they come.

Danny and Kris are my picks – they deserve it, they've worked hard and improved and know how to make arrangements their own on their own. They've shown progress time after time and even though I think Adam is good, he just keeps belting it out the same way time after time, not really an improvment just another song.

I think Adam will be popular no matter what he does but I don't think he deserves it as much as everyone else thinks.

AI is a singing contest, not a guitar-playing contest. That's great that Kris plays guitar and piano, but it has no bearing on the competition.

I can't believe that there are people on this board still crying about Ring of Fire. Wasn't that 6 weeks ago? Since then he's done a beautiful version of 'Tracks of my Tears' and 'Mad World' without the high-pitch notes. It isn't a scream; what Gokey did was a scream.

His version of 'Whole Lotta Love' was controlled chaos and beautifully executed. Ironically, I thought he was good last night but not on the same level as some of his other performances. But Adam on a good night is better than the Danny and Kris on an excellent night.

I voted for Adam using my cell phone and my house phone. And since self identification seems to matter to some of you, I am a 50yr old African-American female professional and I love Adam and will buy his CD!!

Adam is like nails on a chalkboard to me! Awful when he hits those high notes, just don't see why everyone is crazy about him. He ruined One, just awful.

Adam needs to go – he is not that talented unless he was in a theatrical production. There he would shine. I have loved Gokey from the start, but I really think Kris nailed it last night and should win. He has grown the most and impressed me the last few weeks. Adam's scream with the tongue hanging out reminds me of my dogs' whining over a treat.

Adam and Kris please. Gokey was impressive at first, and did have one decent performance last night, but he has become boring and predictable.

Vote for Adam... Simon was hinting at the major upset next week.. It will be boring if Danny wins. I hope he goes tonight. It would be more believable if Kris was in the finals.

Am I the only one who thinks Danny Gokey is karaoke at best? He lacks originality ... sounds the same and does the same runs over and over and over again.

I was offended by Adam's butchering of U2's gorgeous song, ONE. You have to just honor a song like that ... not about vocal theatrics nor melisma ... it's ABOUT THE SONG!!! I am never moved by him.

Kris, I thought, was the most consistent tonight and was quite spectacular with both songs. I actually understood what he was singing about.

I've really enjoyed the performances this year! I'm almost sorry the show is over soon.... Just music, without the competition....that would be fantastic! I think the judges were very disrespectful and (SELF indulgent) toward the three contestants. Shame on them for being so immature. That's exactly how it came off as a viewer of the show. What a waste of my time to have to endure it! Kara does not bring a good feeling to my mind in the field of judging. Even though Simon tends to be a bit too harsh off and on, he does give a good evaluation to the contestants for how it could be as far as the competition they WILL be facing in this industry. Once in a while, he is out in left field, but does not gush on, in a patronizing way. That's very easy to see through as well.....Just as aggravating.....
Kris is awesome! Good looking and very talented. I like the way he changes things up. Danny has grown on me throughout the competition. I like him quite a bit too! I don't care if he doesn't dance like an expert. He's quite natural, and you've gotta love that! I like a decent male character as well. Kris is also a good and decent man. Believable......that's essentally important to women of the world. Thanks Chris and Danny for being real men!
I enjoy Adam's style too.....He's got talent plus! The "Bad Boy" of the bunch....He has a soft side and good mannerisms......What a world, what a world..... A Mad, Mad world that is......His song choices have told a story for this generation, of acceptance for all humanity. I am of the persuasion to accept the basic male/female connection, but I also accept that we must not force control over everyone....Hoping to receive that same respect from those who are choosing alternate life styles in this area. Does it make a difference in how people see him as an artist? I believe so.....It's on everyone's mind at some level. But we all love artistry and strong, entertaining talent. Adam has it!
It's hard to know who will win this year's American Idol. Could be either of these three. They each deserve to win!

I believe all three did a great job, but I feel that Kris was Outstanding overall and won last nights competition. It will be the hardest battle I feel of all the years American Idol has been on for the last three competitors. I loved the show last night... Adam,Danny, and Allison have been my favs from the very start. However Danny hasn't had a performance that wowed me yet. He's an OK singer, but not top 2 material... I still wish Allison wouldn't of went home I'd like to of seen her and Adam in the finale. Since I don't get my way, I'm hoping for Kris and Adam. Kris did a great job last night, and I love Adam. I guess I'm just a sucker for classic rock/hair bands. He's got the voice... bring back the 70' and 80's Adam!!!

It is time for Adam to go. Why is it that Simon always bashes others when they sound "Broadway", but totally tried to sway the vote towards Adam last night? Kris Allen delivered two solid performances last night! His soulful vocals were complimented by his own artistic accompaniment, first on piano, then guitar, all without the noticeable distraction of other stage musicians and overdone theatrics. He has remained "true to self" throughout the American Idol competition. He is refreshingly genuine!

Ohhhhhhhhh Adam! He's the one. He is a TOTAL PACKAGE!!! We get everything we want in one person. It's been a long time coming to have it so OBVIOUS that Adam is the one American Idol. He rocks, rolls and smooths his way into our hearts. He has the most beautiful teeth I've ever seen. Good Luck Adam!

I thought Adam screeched last night. Also, his back up singer was louder than him which didn't help. He does have a great voice, but he spends too much time showing off his vocal gymnastics rather than presenting a song I would like to hear. However, he is going to make a ton of money and would be better off financially not being the Idol. The Idol contract ties the winner up and limits their options.

I would like to see Danny win with Adam second. Kris sounds similar to a number of pop vocalists currently heard on the radio. He adds no value.

If Adam does not win the whole thing then there is really something seriously wrong with the people voting. He rocks and should and will be our next American Idol. Goooooooo Adam

All three did quite well. But going by star quality and charisma, my vote goes to Adam. He's already a star while Kris and Danny are merely good singers.

Oh...and for future reference....anyone who thinks they can sing an Aerosmith sing better have more talent than Danny and Adam. Steven Tyler is hard to match and they DIDN'T EVEN COME CLOSE!

I think that all three are worthy of going to the next week. Here's what I've been considering....Adam was already a performer when Idol began. He's certainly an extremely talented individual. However, Kris is just beginning to learn how to give a performance. As he is learning, he is getting better and better every week...and it's only beginning for him. I believe that Kris may have more potential than the others. Thoughts?

Anyone of these talented guys can go tonight. I would like to see Danny and Kris in the finals though. That would be the real challenge to see which one of these two wins AI. I don't see Adam winning in the end. If Danny or Kris go tonight all their votes would switch to the other and Adam will lose in the final. Kris is by far the most marketable of these contestants. Adam is a great entertainer, not the best vocalist. Danny is nothing if not consistent. I want the Kris/Adam finale and I want Kris to be the Idol. No doubt, they'll all three do well.

I thought Danny did a great job. I agree with Simon, Randy and Kara were way off base by being so critical of the first song that THEY CHOSE for him to sing. That was ridiculous. All three did very well, and Kris finally had a good night – so that should make him the American Idol ...NOT! He is okay, but Danny and Adam have done well every week. Kris should not be in the final 2 – I hope it is Danny and Adam. If it isn't, I for one am done with the show.

It's my gut feeling that Adam Lambert will be a long shot odd man out. Here's why. Adam was already a polished singer/entertainer before entering the American Idol competition. That gave him an advantage which many perceived as unfair to the rest of the contestants. Danny and Kris are truly new "finds" in the field, and their fresh and innocent exuberance coupled with their inspiring musical talents may be enough to unseat the favorite Adam in the voting. The unknowns will capture the hearts of the viewers in this round. Bravo!

Well, If Adam doesn't win, the four judges are going to fall out of their chairs!!!!!! They gave it to him in the beginning of the season. He will win AI, but he will never become a GREAT performer!!! He will be back on the stage doing plays and musicals.

ADAM BUTCHERED MY FAVORITE U2 SONG!! I admit he can scream as well as Steven Tyler, but lacks any real vocal talent otherwise. Of course, he will win since Simon appears to be in love with him.

Listened to all three performers again this morning on the drive to work. Listening again confirms to me that the judges are trying to fix the competition this year for Adam to win. While they mentioned a note and lack of originality for Kris and discussed Danny's goofy choerography, they failed to miss the numerous missed notes in Adam's version of "One" and Adam's singing of "Cry" was a beat for beat and note for note replica of Steven Tyler. Yet, there was no criticism for Adam. The only effort at choreography by Adam was how he licked the microphone in sync with the music as he skreeched a high note.

What is so crazy is that when he sings, Adam is actually the best singer. However, he chooses not to do so. Adam will sell some records and broadway tickets. In addition, I predict he will also be one heck of a spokesmodel for one of the mascara companies promoting his brand of "guy-liner".

The final two should be Adam and Danny if votes are based purely on vocal talent. Kris is a good singer, but his voice is more than a little thin as demonstrated by his performance of "Apologize" last night. Not only did he hit a "bum note", which Paula of all judges pointed out, he also couldn't really pull off the higher notes when singing the refrain "it's too late".

IMO the final three should have been Alison, Adam and Danny, but Alison just didn't have a strong enough fan base. Kris obviously does but again IMO he should have been voted off awhile ago. Anoop Desai also outsang him consistently.

Anyway, I'm really hoping Adam gets thru tonite, but I'm a little worried b/c I was able to get thru a lot last nite when I voted for him. According to DialIdol, a consistent busy signal is a sign that your favorite will make it to the next round b/c so many people are voting for him or her that you can't get thru.

We'll see. All I can say is if Adam doesn't make the cut tonite, I will not watch the final b/c it will be a farce. Like Randy said, Adam is the best contestant they've ever had, and, as Simon said, he deserves to be in the finals.

But if you check out the comments on americanidol.com, you will see that there is a raging battle about Adam's sexual orientation. That's very worrisome b/c the votes could come down to a referendum on gay marriage as many Adam-haters are pitting him against Danny Gokey, who is billed as the Christian performer. I know, I can't believe this crap either, but it's out there.

Good show last night. It'll be interesting to see who advances because there's no clear-cut distinction between the contestants. Last year, we were all certain that Syesha would go, but it's not so easy this time around. All three have their own unique styles and are immensely talented in their own respects. Last week was a crap shoot, too.

One of the draws of this show for me is watching week to week and observing the gradual amount of improvement that the contestants make. Some people will be shrouded in obscurity for some time and then suddenly blossom into a frontrunner, i.e. Kris. I think that's what has kept him in this competition for so long. People enjoy an underdog, a dark horse. Danny began this show a very strong vocalist, but even still his performance qualities have shown steady improvement up to this point. Adam, however, started as the total package, which is why he might've become stale bread to some. You cannot fault him for his consistency and level of comfort on stage, though.

All three are really talented, but if I were to download (and I believe I will) any of the three singer's songs into my iPod, it would be Kris' renditions. He definitely has his own amazing style. So there!

Adam L. will win because he totally ROCKS and is unique and filled with facets. Danny is also great his own blues style I love and will be second. I disagreed and was in shock at the vote off of Allison, it should have been Kris. Not to say Kris doesn't deserve recognition, he is very talented and starting to come in to his own. It's just between the two Allison should still be there. I know that all four of them will succeed and become idols in their own rights after this show is over and beyond.

I thought last night's show was a complete bore. I wish I had that hour of my life back. I didn't like any of the performances and the judges are just really getting on my nerves. If Simon and Paula don't stop acting like a couple of 7th graders, I'm going to scream. They are so immature! And then they praise everything like it's the best performance they've ever witnessed. Brilliant! Amazing! Stellar! Stunning! Brave! How about mediocre? God, I miss Allison...

Send both Kris and Danny home, bring back Allison to go against Adam in the finals!

Other than the fact that Adam is in a league of his own....I thought it would be really difficult to choose...and I was right....but....in the Kris, Danny battle.....I finally moved over to Kris last night....when you take in the complete package.....But this final three is like comparing apples to oranges. They are all really good in a different way. I even voted last night....just to make sure Adam gets his deserved final two and I might even go to their tour....hopefully the final five will get more time on stage than the others. Its got to be Adam and Kris.....

All I can say, I hope it does come to an upset – as Adam clearly should be the winner. Kris is nice – but truthfully – all his songs sound the same, he doesn't give life to different songs, sorry but he truly needs to be eliminated. Danny is the only one left, as they need two tonight, and he basically is on the same theme as Kris – except, Kris is more folk style singing and Danny has his little moments.
So I vote and hope that it will be Adam and Danny and next week – ADAM.
What I don't like – the judges – when they are giving their opinions – Simon listens and doesn't interrupt – but they (two women) ALWAYS interrupt and are unprofessional and very very annoying.

All the people who dislike Adam, have something in common with those who love him, you all remember his performances. You remember what he was wearing, if he had make- up on, whether he screamed, screeched or used his falsetto, and what the judges said about his performance. Even those who dislike him, will give you every detail of his latest performance. Why, because he keeps the audience, revited to the screen, enthralled by the song and last but not least he's not boring. Can any of Danny's or Kris fans give you every detail of all of their songs, absolutely not, because a majaority of their songs were either uninspired or forgettable. As an Adam fan I can give you every detail of his performances, starting from his audition, through hollywood week and all top 13 performances. He has surprised me every week, and never let me down with an performance. He's certainly never left me bored or waffling about his performance.

Adam's voice does not have the same full quality as Danny's. He killed the U2 song and I don't mean in a good way. He screams and sticks his tongue out too much. Chris' voice is not remarkable in anyway.

I loved Kris's version of Heartless. When I heard he was going to sing it I was like he just screwed himself over. But I really liked it a lot. Go Kris. I think Adam and Kris should be in the finale! Danny Gokey has got to go!

How could anyone not be impressed by both Danny's and Kris's performances of their song choices – they truly are artists, Kris even moreso with his ability to play instruments. I was not crazy about Paula's TTD'A's song – he had much better ones than that, more recognizabe to the masses, would've gone over better.

I wonder how many people using 'broadway' as a perjorative against Adam have ever been to a real broadway show? Are you just parroting comments made elsewhere? Do you even know that Broadway singers are top-rate with incredible range and acting abilities? After all, they give up to 8 performances a week (some even dance at the same time), have to improvise, and have to be able to relate to a "LIVE" audience.

In other words, folks, being a Broadway performer takes an incredible amount of talent, physically and mentally.

If it's not Susan Boyle, it's something silly on the Obamas. Firstly, come on! Wanda Sykes' humor is biting and she was at a roast for God's sake! Sheesh! And, who cares if Michelle Obama hugged the Queen of England, or wears sleeveless dresses??? Who cares if the president laughed at Wanda Sykes taking aim at Rush Limbaugh's kidneys??? Adam honestly really deserves to be there. He has proven himself all season, and AI has never seen a contestant like him before – he is unique and fresh and vocally, he is amazing. Never have I voted so strongly for an AI contestant!, but I did last night. He is original, and will be a true star.

I am a 62 year old rocker. The biggest upset was Lil. The duet that Adam and Lil did nail it. An American Idol has to be able to take over the stage and none of them do it. Kris does not look like an idol. Danny and Adam shoud be the top 2. But anything can happen. What I hear, is that this is Paul's last season. Its a shame that Ryan has to baby sit Simon!!!!!

they all did very well. i am a fan of Kris. his version of "heartless" was AMAZING!!!! danny's "you are so beautiful" was really great. i loved it. and adam's "crazy" was great in the beginning, but his glam rock voice – for me – in the middle of the song was too much. but all in all, it was a great night. i had a dream that i was there in person! I am a die Hard Adam fan who put some votes in for Kris last night. I would turn up his tunes with my kids in the car singing and smiling (cute pop station). Adam is simply a gem (alternative/rock station) who will certainly rock for years and years to come (I bet we see him on Saturday Night Live). And the other guy is just too boring for us (light rock station that we do not turn on but you might).

As I have stated before and based on what the judges said last night, Adam will win American Idol. It will come down to Adam and Danny but Adam will win. I do not understand why. The contest is about being the next American Idol. How can anyone choose Adam? He screams and wears fingernail polish. He's there for entertainment. Put him in a show somewhere and make money that way; but he's not the talented one.

One would think you'd want a person who represents to the world (the public) a true idol who is an artist, is talented and can perform. An analogy would be the difference between Michael Jackson (the entertainer) and Prince (the creative one and the artist). The true representative of an American Idol should be Kris.

A screamer screams and that person will only get you attention. An artist will be listened to forever. The artist will last longer through many years and make you more money.

I truly hope that Kris is the next American Idol.

By looking at all of the posts I think it's a toss up of who will go home tonight. The results show will be a shocker either way. I personally voted for Danny and Kris to be in a finals. I liked Adam in the beginning but his screaming is wearing on me.

I really hope Adam and Kris make it to the final two tonight. When I saw Danny perform last night, it was reminiscent of one Taylor Hicks (and I don't necessarily mean that in a good way). I think many will begin to draw a comparison between the two, at least by the sounds of their voices, and will not want Danny to be in the final two.

Kris is the best. Adam screams and Danny is a mess every week. Kris is who should win. Do you actually thinkg that they could market either Adam or Danny? I don't think so!

Adam and I don't care who...Adam will beat either one....

I would love to see Kris and Danny in the finals just to irk the Adam is the Idol Fans. Any combination would be OK with me, Adam and Danny; Adam and Kris; or Kris and Danny. I had thought it was going to be Allison & Adam in the finale but I was wrong.

The two best competitors from the beginning have always been Adam and Gokey. It should come down to them.

(OH and Kara has got to go. I get that they brought someone in to test drive for a while to replace Paula when she inevitably flies off the rails for good, but damn Kara is just awful. If I see her half-roll her eyes and crane her neck out as she over-pronounces the word "AH-MAZE-ING" as in "That performance was AH-MAZE-ING. It took such courage to play that acoustic guitar up there like a real musician." I am going to roundhouse my tv through the back wall of my house into the yard. Enough already, Lady!!)

Yea – right....I do not even know who Taylor Hicks is and Adam comes up at dinner parties, talk shows of all types and is ALL OVER the internet. He also has people like you commenting uncontrollably. And have you seen his download #'s? You may not like him, but Adam will do anything but fade.

Adam was awesome last night as usual and Kris simply has that John Mayer star power. I like it. Cool balance of music instead of this moral/political banter that I thought was over last November.

I like when Americans pick on Adam because he is gay, makes me happy to live in Canada where we've matured into adults and can accept differences. Truth is, the USA doesn't deserve Adam Lampert!

I don't think Adam should be in the finale. The judges and played favorites with him all season. If you are a good judge, you don't play favorites, you criticize everyone or your praise everyone, not just 1 soul. Last night, Simon was pretty much begging for people to vote for Adam. I promise you this, if he wins, you won't hear anything about him in about a year. He's too theatical. He would be awesome on Broadway, but an album? Heck no, who honestly likes him screaming in a ballad. That just makes me sick that he would even do it. The finale should be DANNY and KRIS. There's no other way it should be.

Adam's screaming of the 2nd song made me want to turn on my garbage disposal, and I don't even have one!

Danny's "You Are So Beautiful" was his best yet.

Kris' 2nd song was decent.

Adam you have to go. Enough is enough, I don't know how much more screaming I can lisen handle. I can't wait to see the look on his face tonight when he gets voted off.

I hope it's Kris and Adam in the finale with Kris somehow winning. Adam is called "unpredictable", but honestly...it's become very predictible to watch him whisper the first half of the song and screech the second half. Kris is the only contestant that actually surprises me each week...with a good voice, an original performance, and likeability. Go Kris!!

Didn't like either of Adam's performances last night. No, I should say the performance was good but the vocals??? Adam is definitly a great 'performer' but I would not buy a CD by him. Danny's "You are so beautiful" was good, but that is about all I can say about him. I thought Kris had a great night. Yes his "Apologize" was a clone of the original but so what! It is a great song as it is. “Heartless” put him in a class by himself last night! I cringed when he said he was singing it but he won me over with the 1st few seconds of the song. It think Kris should win the title this year but I'm positive Adam will win. COMMENT TO NANCY: Are you for real?? What is wrong with Adam? He is respectful to the judges, polite, and seems to get along with every one on the show. Seems like a good role model to me. Any one agree with me?

At this point, it really doesn't matter who wins. Adam is the only one left with real talent. Gokey sings OK, might have brief success but don't see achieving long lasting success. Same with Chris. Adam is a star.

It should definitely be Kris and Danny! They are the two best singers. Adam is a screamer and should go to Broadway instead!

After they jettisoned the real talent, Allison, off the show last week, any outcome will be anticlimatic. This wasn't a singing competition, it was a teeny bopper popularity contest. The question now is what exactly is "American Idol"?

Man, I am so tired of hearing that Adam is a rock star... Adam is not even close to being a rock star. He is a poser! There is nothing edgy about him and he is to polished to be a rock star. Rock stars are usually dripping with machismo, which is something that Adam is lacking. Adam will do great in theater, but as a solo singing artist, plewwww no I don't think so...

On the other hand I could see Gokey as an R&B/Adult Contemporary artist/ Christian artist. The dude can sing in all vocal ranges ...

Kris is a good singer but sometimes his voice just doesn't seem strong enough. Some nights he's on and some nights he's off. Last night he was way off... While I will admit that Gokey's first song was horrible by Paula. Gokey knocked it out the box with his second song... Go Gokeyyy!!!

If you had any sense you would realize his humility is all a show. You sheep need to wake up. Humility is not disrespecting the star spangled banner (youtube). I have standards. Slowly but surely this country is losing theirs. I guess you are going to say that Ms. California was wrong too. We all have the opportunity to make our own choices but we also have to answer for every decision. When the time comes, I am not going to answer to God about why I taught my children that HS is acceptable and right. If you wanna take that chance and answer to God because of YOUR gay lifestyle thats on you. In my book its not ok and I will not pretend that it is. Therefore a role-model to me should do the right thing. Adam doesnt therefore he will never get my vote.

When I first saw Adam, I hated him. Then he started to grow on mem and I actually love when he wears the suits and sings ballads. Now he is back to annoying me.

Danny has been pretty consistant and awesome each week, but no really WOW moment.

I was not a fan of Kris in the beginning, but he has improved tremendously. He has the cute factor and the likability factor, where Adam has the like him or hate him factor, and Danny has the likability but no cute factor. Anywho, I am rooting for Kris all the way. He has pure raw Arkansas talent and he plays the piano AND guitar. Adam is just too much or a ringer.

I heard an interesting comparison this morning on the radio that I believe is true....when Adam sings and gets into that screaming singing, he sounds like someone is pulling his toenails out.....

The judges are certainly forcing Adam down the viewers throats as the next winner, but is it going to work? That remains to be seen. He's not my cup of tea. The screaming, hard rock, over-the-top theatrics are too much. KISS has been dead for many years now. I do not see a cover band or solo artist making it in that genre.

Adam is Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger, Elvis and David Bowie all rolled into one and what is not marketable about a guy who can effortlessly cross all genres? I think he is brilliant, and when off is still better than the others. Kris, like Adam, get kudos for originality. Danny doesn't. Here in New Zealand people are only talking about one idol contestant (right from the beginning) and that is Adam. His album is a sure number 1 around the world. Can't see a future for the others outside the States. And that's where you can see the wider vision that Simon has over the other judges in his comments. An Amercian idol that is also marketable outside American borders. Now that's maximum marketability.

I live in Gokey's hometown... I'm hoping this is the end of the road for him. He is not that good and the local media is obsessed with him. Do most people realize that they promoted the heck out his 'visit' here last weekend.... to the point that everybody who came to watch his 'concert' got paid ... if they stayed to the end... with Summerfest tickets... which is an extremely popular music fest in Milwaukee.

Kris & Gokey please! Enough with Adam! I'd never buy an album of his – though he does great work with his songs – they all start to sound the same. I definitely wouldn't buy his album and most likely I'd turn the radio station every time that falsetto scream came on the radio. Gets real old real fast.

The comments about Adam being forced on people by the judges...well you are on this board talking about him. Whose forcing you to do that?

Regarding his lifestyle. Really isn't our business. How many of you ask your neighbor or co-worker, child's teacher, doctor, garbage collector about their sexual orientation? You don't...do you? Didn't think so!

As to how his parents feel...isn't it obvious? They're proud of their son and love him, whether he wins or loses. Don't you feel the same about your son/daughter?

If you really believe in teachings of the Bible, you should be accepting of Adam. I'm sure he would accept you even if you don't share his lifestyle.

I'm hoping it's Kris and Adam with Kris pulling a surprise (and unlikely) win.

Adam is a great talent, but he can't resist shrieking during nearly every performance, which I don't like all the time, even if he can hit the notes. Maybe the only exception where he didn't scream was "Mad World" which was amazing and original. Kris' performance of "Heartless" last night was incredible. Danny is a nice guy with a good voice, but his performances lack charisma.

Would I pay for a Danny album or to see him in concert? No. However, I have already purchased Kris and Adam songs via iTunes downloads.

Wasn't Adam's best night but still loved him. Danny and Kris will be a thing of the past even if one of them win. Oh and the judges are acting so unprofessional except for Randy. He gives his opinion and moves on. Paula needs to stop acting like the show is all about her and Simon. They make me sick. If Adam goes home tonight...I'm done watching. There's been something missing from the Rock world lately and that's Adam. New Jersey loves you Adam!!

Adam's first song. One. Loved the piano, quiet beginning (ha! See he does have a lower register!). Wasn't overly thrilled with the transition to the high. There didn't seem to be a transition – one minute it was quiet next minute rocker loud. Felt "disconnected". Adam has been very good this season at making a 1-1.5 minute song seem complete. Last night wasn't one of those nights.

Adam's second song – Cryin. I wasn't thrilled when I heard he was doing this song. One of my least favorite Aerosmith songs – I call it the Tyler whine song. Tyler whines cryin....dying.... Drags out those words to sound like a whine. I was worried Adam would do the same. Thankfully he remixed it and got rid of the whine. I liked it a lot. Not as much as last week's Whole Lotta Love, but WLL was all kinds of awesome.

Danny's Dance Little Sister – I actually liked it. I don't mind the white guy dance he does. Yes he's not a dancer, but he's not nearly as awful as I've seen from others. And he obviously has fun with these songs. When it comes time to touring he will get a choreographer and they will work out those kinks. Which will be a bummer actually – because he's kinda fun as is. I thought his vocal was a bit rougher than Terrence Trent D'Arby, but it worked.

Danny's You Are So Beautiful – rough beginning. Sounded breathy. I think it was just a tad, just a tiny tad, too slow. Once he got into the middle and end, where it sped up just a bit, the "gospel" sounding portion, he greatly improved. Which is the big negative with Danny – he's never consistent throughout a song.

Kris's Apologize – I thought it was better than the original. But then I really don't like the original, so not sure what that says. The original has a bit of a "whine" sound to it – the "its too late...." drags out a bit too long and sounds like a whine to me. Kris did a bit of that, but also cut some of the whine out as well. I get Kara's critique though. Yes she picked the song with Randy. Doesn't mean she can't critique his performance of it. She was saying she was hoping he would do more with it. Not sure why Simon doesn't get that – except it gives Simon a shot to criticize Kara and Randy and Simon enjoys that more.

Kris's Heartless – I've never heard the original (not a Kanye West fan) and haven't heard the Frey's version either (I'm so bad with current music I know). I really liked this performance. Hello – a capella beginning! Nice. Then unplugged the rest. It was very good. Great vocals.

winner to Kris because of unexpected song choice and I presume new arrangement (but as I said I don't know the other arrangements either). Second to Adam because vocals spot on, as always, but song choice not all that surprising. Third to Danny – bad breathy beginning and uninspired song choice.

Hopefully Adam and Kris final 2, both have earned it with their performances throughout the season. However if Danny gets enough votes last week to be safe from his horrific Dream On, then it is entirely possible and probable he will be in the finals with Adam.

I hope it's Kris and Danny. I think that Adam is talented but not what parents want for their children to look at and see as an "American Idol". The three are very talented in their own ways but my two favorites are Danny and Kris. Adam lost my after the "Ring of Fire"–that was really scarry and weird. Has anyone googled Adam's website? Just too weird for me–it's too over the top and gets old very fast! This show is supposed to be more about the singing than all the acting that Adam brings to the stage.

Ok... I really wanted Adam, Gokey and The Red Head in the final three and was really suprised when she was sent home. But I would like Kris to go home. Adam and Gokey are the better of the three.

Based on last night, it should be Adam and Kris in the finals. Based on the entire season, it should be Adam and Kris in the finals. Danny has a nice voice, but he is as boring as toast. Kris sounds very current. Adam is totally amazing. I can't wait to buy Adam's CD!!

I would buy Adams music before the other two.

Kris has got to go. He is less talented vocally than Danny or Adam, he fell short and off key on allot more songs than either Dan or Adam through the competition. Kris did a really good job with "Heartless" last night but he totally botched his first song. As I tally the number of mistakes by Kris (through the competition) verses Danny and Adam, Kris is the clear cut vote for leaving tonight. Yes he can play instruments but this is a singing competition and his singing can't match the other two contestants. Thats my opinion and I hope that a mistake is not made due to his teeny bopper fans keeping him around for his looks. Allison should be here instead of Kris but that water under the bridge.

I think Adam is going home tonight. My reasoning is this: Everyone loves Danny, but Kris did very well last night. My opinion is that Paula gave Danny a sucky song and that won't help him to win the finale. Kris will win the finale. I also think Adam killed "One". Sorry, Adam fans, he should have stuck with songs like "Mad World."

Many of the postings on this blog are stating how Adam is always screaming. Many of his performances did not have hardly any high notes in them at all. That is the thing about him -even when he sings
a song like "Mad World" or "Tracks of My Tears" he is showing yet another side of his talent that is unmistakeably superb. His arrangements are totally original. His voice is so clear and he never misses a note or forgets the words. Even when he comes off the high notes the transition is remarkable. Danny and Kris can sing but they are not exciting or unique – they are like every other singer out there right now. I also don't see Danny or Kris lasting or having the profound effect that Adam will have on the industry.

I think Adam is the best "Rock" singer. He has had me spell bound since day one of his performance. The three contestants are the ones who deserve to be in the spot light. I would be disappointed if Adam didn't win, and so would my mother-in-law. She watches American Idol every week, just to hear Adam sing and then gets on her phone to vote for him. They are all talented in their own way of singing, but I think Adam has put his signature on his talent.

Unfortunately, most Americans don't think past their border and don't care – just one of the reasons the country is in the fix it's in! Adam has a HUGE career ahead of him and it would probably serve him much better not to win the Idol Crown and be tied to their contract for a whole year. Kris and Danny...Adam should do broadway way...he sounds like showtunes to me. I agree with what someone said below: Adam in the finale would make it the most boring, predictable finale ever. No reason to watch at all. Adam is a one-trick pony, but the teens and tweens seem to ignore the fact that he only does 2 things with his voice: slow falsetto, or screechy upbeat. There really isn't much diversity. Oh, and for anyone that doubts this: look up a complete list of every song Adam has performed on the show- then go to iTunes, and find the originals and remakes of the songs he's chosen. You can find another band/artist singing the EXACT same way Adam did when he performed them. Original? Really? I guess he's the first guy on Season 8 to steal from the 80's.

The Truth... go bang your bible somewhere else. JC is weeping because of your need to instruct others in your "Way". From what I've read and studied JC was all about loving your neighbor. What a sad, sad person you are. bleh. It's people like you who make me want to puke. This is about a singing compeition. Not your incessant need to force morality down other peoples' throats. Adam screams? Has not done one original arrangement? Um...I think Ring of Fire was a pretty original adaptation (and made the song palatable). And, I do not think he screamed during a fantastic rendition of Mad World. Get past the looks, folks – he is talented. It may not be your thing, but let's be fair.

Adam and Chris. Adam wins. That''s just the way it's going to be and rightfully so. Just one word mesmerizing. Regardless of what the judges say he is the most talented.

All I can say is WOW!!! The BEST show I ever saw for Idol. Like it or not, Adam is the best talent, hands down. But not everyone is going to like his style. There is a style for everyone up there on that stage. Each of them earned their place last night. They will all have careers, but I think Adam will be as famous as Michael Jackson. (With no negative connotation meant). He will be a legend some day.

this is really a messed up deal. The top 3 are not represented tonight since Allison was kicked off. I wont say voted off because I dont believe that Kriss's "come together" performance was strong enough to beat out allison.

This should have been allison vs adam and danny....and in the end...it should have been allison and adam....and im sure that in a shoot out that adam would probably win out......

but guess what? Allison will out sell all of the other candidates combined.

I think the show is rigged. Never before have the judges favored a contestant like Adam. He is horrible. He needs to be humbled. Adam already acts like he has won it and so do the judges. This season has not been fair to the other contestants. I loved Danny but I think Kris is a true musician. He is the only one who actually can play an instrument. If Adam wins I will stop watching Idol!

I remember way back during Hollywood week when one of the contestants (can't remember who) was criticized by Simon after a performance for screaming. Simon said something like his screaming was 'complete selfish indulgence'! Why hasn't Adam ever been told that? He screamed through every performance and NO ONE ever said a word! Obviously he isn't my favorite. I will miss Danny's incredible voice- although this could be the best for him career-wise like Chris Daughtry. As was mentioned before, Kris is a true musician and I hope he wins! His unassumingness is refreshing.
