Weird. I told a friend today that I thought Adam might be going home tonight. He was the victim of everyone doing a decent job last night, and people rushed out to vote for other favorites because they assumed Adam would be safe. It's the Daughtry/Doolittle syndrome all over again. Well, I won't be too disappointed: If Adam goes home, he won't be trapped in the AI box, and can move on to bigger and better things. His face and voice are out there now; you can't take that away.

As much as I would like to think of Adam as being in the bottom two – notice they never said they were the bottom two. And when he saved Kris – Ryan said who is in our "top 4" not top 3 – so I think it's just them trying to make more drama!

i am tuning off AI for good if Adam goes home. This is beyond ridiculous. Does anyone see any other AI finalists having a career after the AI win. They will be in the same boat as Taylor Hicks.

After looking at last night's percentage of busy call signals per contestant, tonight's resultls did not supprise me. It was very close; too close for those in the know to make any predications. What this does tell me is you must VOTE VOTE VOTE for your favorite. Did I mention you should VOTE for your fav?

I don't think it's that big of a shock. It's obvious that America has had enough of the same old same old from Adam. After all, we can only stand so much of him stick out his tongue and screaming like....well you get the idea.

Of course Kris is safe! I think Adam has a niche in society and there are those who love him and those who dislike him. I think Kris is unique and I think he should end up in the top 2 with Adam.

It makes sense that Adam goes to the bottom two on the same night Taylor Hicks, the worst and most undeserving winner ever, performs. Just goes to show how wrong, stupid, and possibly homophobic the voters can be.

Who audits AI? Uh... no one? Do they EVER mention who keeps them honest? No bloody way Adam was in bottom. I tried calling for 2 hours last night and couldn't get through. "Manufactured drama" - exactly!

There is no indication that they cut people from the bottom three based on votes. Thus, Adam was probably third highest (and lowest) vote getter.

The "bottom two" just means "remaining two based on if we want to cause a stir or not."

Kris should be the next to go. I've never understood what the hype is about him. Haven't liked one of his songs yet!!

iTunes Top American Idol Downloads accidentally revealed – Adam holds 6 out of the 10 top spots – Adam is in the bottom 2 this week??? HUH? I smell something totally fixed here. American Idol – so sad to mislead your audience. But on a good note – You have now assured Adams win – cause fans that were not previously voting will vote like CRAZY now.

Listen up, folks. There is a huge group of Kris fans accumulating in Arkansas who are voting up to 10,000 times a night (individually) to try to throw this thing. It looks like it might be working. Don't underestimate the power of Arkansans. (Remember Bill and Hillary?) Don't just assume Adam will win because he is the best. Vote as many times as you possibly can. Adam is the only real "artist" that Jamie Foxx was talking about, for sure. VOTE!!

Well, I agree. This is pure drama. They are putting heat on Adam's fans so the votes will go higher the next weeks for him. It is all a business strategy. More votes more money.
I really think that Gokey should be in bottom 2 next week. He does not deserve to win. Kris has a better voice than him. Gokey is not as versatile and artistic as Kris. It should be Kris and Adam in the top 2! Gokey should be out, wake up America!

Adam stinks. Every performance is so over the top it turns into Tim Curry in Rocky Horror, he just can't reign it in. He usually finishes about third on dial idol, so it isn't shocking he was fourth tonight – his performance was either the fourth or fifth best last night. The only reason you are surprised is that his little fans blog very loudly and abuse all the other contestants so harshly (particularly Gokey), that if all you do is read AI blogs, you would assume he was a shoo in. Hopefully tonight helped you get a little perspective and it won't be as painful when Gokey beats him by 5-7 points in the final.

Idol has never revealed whether they send safe contestants back to their chairs in the order of their votes! They only comment on bottom three, NOT BOTTOM TWO!! That being said, I believe Adam had more votes than Kris, they just chose to play with us and send Kris to safety first.

I must be the only person on the planet, apparently, who has the good sense to realize Adam is the biggest poser ever. What type of music could he possibly do that people would listen to? I can't stand his fake humbleness. It was the happiest moment all season for me, just to watch him sweat a little bit being down at the bottom.

I'm sorry, but Adam is a broken record. He ruins every genre with his screaming, tongueiness, and evil eyes. He's definitely not making songs "his own." It's that he doesn't know how to do anything else different! I wish Adam would go home and soon. The kid's got a voice, but not much else.

Exactly, having Adam in the bottom 2 has got to be manufactured by the producers. They're just creating drama and forcing more people to call in. Typically I don't watch this show, but happen to catch it early on and thought they had a great group of singers. I think Adam has got the whole package and will be a promoters dream kid. After watching last nights show it reminds me how manufactured the results can be and why I don't watch these programs. Even Simon was shaking his head.

You're all insane if you think they would risk manufacturing the voting results to get drama! If Adam (the Drama Queen himself) were not one of the bottom two vote getters then he wouldn't have been standing there.

Adam Lambert is very talented, but he's Broadway stage talented; how much mass appeal will he have and in which niche? I know I won't be buying his stuff (now Allison's stuff I would definitely buy as long as she's not pigeon-holed as another Kelly Clarkson, who I like but who doesn't have enough edge IMO).

Also, how can the AI producers change the voting and put Adam in the bottom 2? If they did that, that would be more of a problem than Adam actually BEING in the bottom 2.

American Idol is not only for the tweens,teens,20's&30's....Us older folks watch and vote too...In my crowd of baby boomers, Adam is not the favorite by far. We lean towards Danny........but all that said, rerun the tape and pay close attention to what Ryan said, I never heard him say, these are the bottom two....Did I hear right or should I go get the hearing aids?

Kris and Allison for the top two. No question it was for drama, however as talented as Adam is, there are a lot of us who do not like that kind of music. I am looking for Danny to go next week, I think Matt has more talent than him. Never liked Taylor Hicks, still don't, and I think Danny is on par with Taylor.

Adam's not bad, but he's not great.....his only vocal move is that high octave scream he works into each of his performances.....it's a fun ride but could you really listen to a whole track list with one of those screams in each song?

Chris is a true artist and will have a great career, Adam is a cartoon character that feels the need to advert back to his scream in every song...it's old and it's not good at all...plus he's on the light side too...

YES Kris is safe over Adam! Kris is a much better, more relevant singer than Adam. Adam could be a front man for a screaming band, or sing on broadway, but his voice is too high pitched to be heard on a CD for 13 songs. I can hardly bare one song, can't imagine a whole CD.

Of course it's drama. Adam has a huge fan base and an even bigger voice. He is the ultimate entertainer, and we'll be seeing his name in lights for a long time to come!!

This is a singing competition, therefor Danny and Kris should be in the finals, no questions asked.

Be careful who you speak for LA Linda. I'm in my late 50s and can't stomach Gokey. Wouldn't buy squat from him. Adam, Allison. Kris is the way I see it. Give Gokey the heave ho with enough cash to get to a good orthodontist.

I'm not overly suprised that Adam was in the bottom 3. People either like him or they don't. I personally don't like him because he just doesn't have a voice that I like. Would I buy his music or go to a concert to see him....heck no.

The top 5 contestants are all great in their own way. I'm sure all of them will have music careers ahead of them.

Maybe Simon shouldn't have made his prediction for the final 2 so quickly. After all it is America who votes.

Allison is clearly the best singer left and should win, but I know she doesn't have the votes. Was so glad to see her in the top two last night though. That was my dream bottom three.

Don't say it's impossible that Adam could go home.....remember Chris Daughtry? Katherine McPhee was another one that everyone figured would win. Stuff happens people....it's not like Adam isn't going to be getting some big fat $ for his talent.

You know, I'm so tired of some of you folks commenting on contestants physical appearance. Yes, appearance is part of the package – but that will all come later. Look at all the kids who make it, and how different they look now compared to their auditions. They are all great looking folks and the little imperfections will be gone.

I was afraid Adam would be in the bottom three Tuesday night. I voted for the first time in many seasons because I was worried his performance might not have been understood. I got through right away twice which is unusual so I knew there would be problem.

I've liked Adam all season long, but I think it's a little much as far as how crazy people act about him and how the judges treat him. He screams/shrieks the lyrics – they love it. Someone else does it – they're sent packing! All that said, I still like him and think he's extremely talented. In a twisted way though, I was a little happy to see him in the bottom 3 for once – gave some of the others, who deserve to be there just as much as him, a chance to breathe.

I think Last night was BS. No way Adam should have been in the bottom three, If Adam gets booted I will never watch this show again. Matt is good, but he had no chance in winning this Gokey is terrible and so is Allison. Adam and Chris are by far the most talented of the remaining 4. I believe Gokey will be next to leave, and then Allison. I believe that homophobia is setting in with Adam. Being an american Idol doesn't just mean that you can sing, it means being able to entertain, sing, dance and look the part. And that is ADAM!!!!! All the way baby.....

What is wrong with you people? Adam sounds like an 80's screeching glam rocker. When he hits thos high notes, I cringe... and I used to love 80's glam rock (back in the 80's!) Go with Kris and Allison.

I think Adam is oh so talented, but he doesn't need American Idol to start his career – look on the internet and youtube to see his past accomplishments. Even if he were voted off tomorrow, he will still make it big. Adam is a theatrical talent, different from the other contestants, which makes him much more versatile and likeable. I can see Adam as the lead singer in a Queen or Aerosmith type band, or on Broadway. But I wonder if Danny or Kris would be the better idol winner. (I love Allison too, but don't think she will win). Perhaps that is what the voting reflected and how Adam ended up in the bottom two.
