Pierce Brosnan has nothing on Daniel Craig's Bond. Daniel Craig was the perfect choice to play Bond; while not classically handsome-- he is piercing... he smolders. I also like how this Bond isn't cheesy. He is real. He's a brutal, violent, smart killer. The fact that he doesn't sleep with the main Bond girl is also interesting. Maybe Camille will be back in a future movie.

It is about time that this franchise got back on track. This installment was pure revenge, no frills. I like were they are taking this character. I am quite sure that in the next edition we will see more gadgets. Those are ok, but they shouldn't drive the show. Between the stale lines, and gadgets it had gotten boring. I welcome the change.

With the theme song, though....I have to agree with those who were disappointed with it. It's certainly forgettable, unlike older classics like Live And Let Die, Nobody Does It Better, Goldfinger, etc. Even some of the 80's and 90's films had som decent songs (some were even more memorable than the movies they went with, like View To A Kill). I think that's one of the main stumbling blocks the last two Bond movies have had--I loved Casino Royale and really liked Quantum of Solace, but if someone held a gun to my head, I couldn't tell you the name of either theme song or who sang them, or even what they sounded like. Take a cue from John Williams--it's not always the words to the song that get the message across--he's created songs for 35 years that automatically bring to mind a vivid image...Jaws, Star Wars, Superman, E.T., Indiana Jones. Anyone who ever saw any of those movies can hear one bar of any of their themes and automatically tell you where it's from. I just saw Quantum of Solace three days ago, and if I heard the song in the middle of 4 others on the radio, I wouldn't be able to pick it out of a lineup.

I think the new Bond flick is very good. I think Casino Royale was better, but Quantum Of Solace continues in the same vein as its predecessor. I like the new direction they're taking with the character--he's more realistic, more bad-ass, and less cheesy. I think the reason many of the other Bond films didn't work as well was because they went over the deep end with unrealistic gadgets and vehicles and locales, and played James Bond as nothing more than a womanizing, wise-cracking baccarat player who occasionally actually pulls out a gun. For all the comments about how Ian Fleming wrote him, and harkening back to the Sean Connery days, I believe a character who is supposed to be an expert in hand-to-hand combat, tactics, and killing people shouldn't come off as the playboy of the Western world in every film. It gets old--that's why when the Bourne movies came along, they struck a chord with audiences and changed how a "secret agent film" should be done. Granted, much could be said about a franchise like Bond--that's been around for 45 years--only reacting to Bourne's example instead of leading the way. Bourne is great, but Bond is the original superspy, and I think the studio should have realized long ago that audiences weren't taking Bond seriously anymore. Maybe by showing their own character more respect and giving him films that are worthy of him, they can recreate Bond for the 21st century and bring old and new fans back. I say Bravo! to the new films and Daniel Craig, and here's hoping we get a lot more of him in the future.

I hate the theme song and I want to nominate it for a Golden Raseberry Award! It is the worst song ever used in any James Bond movie. All of the previous theme songs in 007 films rated from fair to excellent.

Next time get Eric Clapton, Genesis, or U2. John Bary, (who did most of the music for previous 007 movies), probably hates it as well.

I'm noticing a lot of people are saying they didn't like the song. Admittedly, I hated it at first. However, after seeing the opening credits for the film, listening to the song several times, and hearing the lyrics through the perspective of the film's plot and mood, I've realized this is actually one of the most clever and intricate Bond themes.

The song is brilliantly multifaceted, while Keyes' and Black's voices come together in a most unique and haunting manner. The lyrics perfectly capture the lack of trustworthiness among the people surrounding Bond in the film, and the fact that Bond finds himself face-to-face with "another way to die" with almost every step he takes and person he meets.

There's no doubt that "Another Way To Die" is more challenging for the listener than many previous Bond themes, but those who are willing to embrace the challenge at take the time to appreciate it will find a true gem in the process.

Where did the gadgets go??? This is a Bond film after all right?? What a terrible way to show tribute to the great Q!!! Besides that I felt this movie was better then Casino Royale. The film could have used a little bit more of a story but overall I did enjoy it.
